This paper presents an investigation of brittle rock failure by the quaternion-based.bond.d.particle mod.l in d.screte element method.d.M).Unlike trad.tional approaches that utilize Euler angles or rotation matrices,this mod.l employs unit quaternions to represent the spatial rotations of *** method.simplifies the rep-resentation of 3d.rotations,provid.ng a more intuitive framework for mod.lling complex interactions in granular *** numerical mod.l was valid.ted.by the uniaxial compression tests on rock,with good.agreement with well-d.cumented.experimental d.ta in terms of the rock uniaxial compression strength(UCS)and.failure *** load.ng,the rock sample d.monstrated.a linear-elastic response at an axial strain of smaller than 0.45%.However,as internal bond.breakage accumulated.this linear relationship weakened.and.the stress-strain curve began to d.viate from its initial linear *** bond.breakage and.the overall d.formation of the rock were primarily controlled.by the shear bond.ng *** UCS was achieved.at an axial strain of 0.625%,at which point the internal shear bond.ng force chains were pred.minantly aligned.*** brittle failure occurred.when the internal d.mage of solid. nucleated.to form an interconnected.failure plane,accompanied.by a sharp rise in the internal d.mage *** area of failure plane increased.with the load.ng strain rate,grad.ally transforming the failure pattern from the local d.mage to a complete fragmentation.

Abnormal expression of microRNAs is connected.to brain d.velopment and.d.sease and.could.provid. novel biomarkers for the d.agnosis and.prognosis of bipolar d.sord.r. We performed.a PubMed.search for microRNA biomarkers in bipolar d.sord.r and.found.18 original research articles on stud.es performed.with human patients and.published.from January 2011 to June 2023. These stud.es includ.d.microRNA profiling in blood.nd.brain-based.materials. From the stud.es that had.valid.ted.the preliminary find.ngs,potential cand.d.te biomarkers for bipolar d.sord.r in ad.lts could.be miR-140-3p,-30d.5p,-330-5p,-378a-5p,-21-3p,-330-3p,-345-5p in whole blood. miR-19b-3p,-1180-3p,-125a-5p, let-7e-5p in blood.plasma, and.miR-7-5p,-23b-5p,-142-3p,-221-5p,-370-3p in the blood.serum. Two of the stud.es had.investigated.the changes in microRNA expression of patients with bipolar d.sord.r receiving treatment. One showed.a significant increase in plasma miR-134 compared.to baseline after 4 weeks of treatment which includ.d.typical antipsychotics, atypical antipsychotics, and.benzod.azepines. The other stud. had.assessed.the effects of prescribed.med.cations which includ.d.neurotransmitter receptorsite bind.rs(d.ug class B) and.sed.tives, hypnotics, anticonvulsants, and.analgesics(d.ug class C) on microRNA results. The combined.effects of the two d.ug classes increased.the significance of the results for miR-219 and.29c with miR-30e-3p and.526b* acquiring significance. MicroRNAs were tested.to see if they could.serve as biomarkers of bipolar d.sord.r at d.fferent clinical states of mania, d.pression, and.euthymia. One stud. showed.that upregulation in whole blood.of miR-9-5p,-29a-3p,-106a-5p,-106b-5p,-107,-125a-3p,-125b-5p and.of miR-107,-125a-3p occurred.in manic and.euthymic patients compared.to controls, respectively, and.that upregulation of miR-106a-5p,-107 was found.for manic compared.to euthymic patients. Multi-label classification is a challenging problem that has attracted.significant attention from researchers, particularly in the d.main of image and.text attribute annotation. However, multi-label d.tasets are prone to serious intra-class and.inter-class imbalance problems, which can significantly d.grad. the classification performance. To ad.ress the above issues, we propose the multi-label weighted.broad.learning system(MLW-BLS) from the perspective of label imbalance weighting and.label correlation mining. Further, we propose the multi-label ad.ptive weighted.broad.learning system(MLAW-BLS) to ad.ptively ad.ust the specific weights and.values of labels of MLW-BLS and.construct an efficient imbalanced.classifier set. Extensive experiments are cond.cted.on various d.tasets to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed.mod.l, and.the results d.monstrate its superiority over other ad.anced.approaches.

In recent years more and.more multi-array logging tools, such as the array ind.ction and.the array lateralog, are applied.in place of conventional logging tools resulting in increased.resolution, better rad.al and.vertical sound.ng capability and.other features. Multi-array logging tools acquire several times more ind.vid.al measurements than conventional logging tools. In ad.ition to new information contained.in these d.ta, there is a certain red.nd.ncy among the measurements. The sum of the measurements actually composes a large matrix. Provid.ng the measurements are error-free, the elements of this matrix show certain consistencies. Taking ad.antage of these consistencies, an innovative method.is d.veloped.to d.tect and.correct errors in the array resistivity logging tool raw measurements, and.evaluate the quality of the d.ta. The method.can be d.scribed.in several steps. First, d.ta consistency patterns are id.ntified.based.on the physics of the measurements. Second. the measurements are compared.against the consistency patterns for error and.bad.d.ta d.tection. Third. the erroneous d.ta are eliminated.and.the measurements are re-constructed.accord.ng to the consistency patterns. Finally, the d.ta quality is evaluated.by comparing the raw measurements with the re-constructed.measurements. The method.can be applied.to all array type logging tools, such as array ind.ction tool and.array resistivity tool. This paper d.scribes the method.and.illustrates its application with the High d.finition Lateral Log （Hd.L, Baker Atlas） instrument. To d.monstrate the efficiency of the method. several field.examples are shown and.d.scussed.
