Microstructure and mechanical properties of friction welded carbon steel(EN24) and nickel-based superalloy(IN718)

Continuous-drive rotary friction welding was performed to join cylindrical specimens of carbon steel(EN24) and nickel-based superalloy(IN718), and the microstructures of three distinct weld zones—the weld interface(WI)/thermo-mechanically affected zone(TMAZ),the heat-affected zone(HAZ), and the base metal—were *** joint was observed to be free of defects but featured uneven flash *** backscatter diffraction(EBSd) analysis showed substantial changes in high-angle grain boundaries, low-angle grain boundaries, and twin boundaries in the TMAZ and ***, significant refinement in grain size(2 –5 μm) was observed at the WI/TMAZ with reference to the base *** possible causes of these are *** microhardness profile across the welded joint shows variation in *** changes in hardness are ascribed to grain refinement, phase transformation, and the dissolution of strengthening *** tensile test results reveal that a joint efficiency of 100% can be achieved using this method.

In a plasma accelerator with an anodic layer(PAAL),we discovered experimentally the effect of‘super-acceleration'of the bulk of the ions to energies W exceeding the energy equivalent to the discharge voltage v_(d).The E×B discharge was ignited in an environment of atomic argon and helium and molecular *** charged argon ions were accelerated most effectively in the case of the largest discharge currents and pressure P of the working *** ions with W〉ev_(d)(e being the electron charge)were only recorded at maximum *** nitrogen was not accelerated to energies W〉e v_(d).Anomalous acceleration is realized in the range of radial magnetic fields on the anode 2.8×10^(–2)≤B_(rA)≤4×10^(–2)*** was also found analytically that the cathode of the accelerator can receive anomalously accelerated *** this case,the value of the potential in the anodic layer becomes higher than the anode potential,and the anode current exceeds some critical *** modeling in terms of the developed theory showed qualitative agreement between modeling data and measurements.

The spectroscopic properties of lithium borate glasses as a function of Nd3＋ ions concentration were *** absorption spectra of these glasses showed a number of absorption bands in ultra violet and visible *** absorption edge was found to shift towards the longer wavelength（red shift） with increase in *** spectra revealed three major bands at 902, 1063 and 1334 nm which was due to 4F3/2→4I9/2, 11/2 ＆13/2 transitions of Nd3＋ *** intensity was maximum for 1 mol.% Nd2O3 and further increase in Nd2O3 resulted in luminescence *** luminescence quenching behavior at higher concentration of Nd2O3 was attributed to the Nd3＋-Nd3＋ interaction in the glass *** absorption and emission property of these glasses suggested that these glasses could be useful for 1.06 μm infrared laser applications.

The influence of ischemia-reperfusion(I/R)action on pancreatic blood flow(PBF)and the development of acute pancreatitis(AP)in laboratory rats is evaluated in vivo by using the laser speckle contrast imaging(LSCI).Additionally,the optical properties in norm and under condition of AP in rats were assessed using a modied integrating sphere spectrometer and inverse Monte Carlo(IMC)*** results of the experimental study of microcirculation of the pancreas in 82 rats in the ischemic model are *** data obtained conrm the fact that local ischemia and changes in the blood°ow velocity of the main vessels cause and provoke acute pancreatitis.

In signal processing and communication systems,digital filters are widely *** some circumstances,the reliability of those systems is crucial,necessitating the use of fault tolerant filter *** strategies have been presented throughout the years to achieve fault tolerance by utilising the structure and properties of the *** technology advances,more complicated systems with several filters become *** of the filters in those complicated systems frequently function in parallel,for example,by applying the same filter to various input ***,a simple strategy for achieving fault tolerance that takes advantage of the availability of parallel filters was *** fault-tolerant ways that take advantage of the filter’s structure and properties have been proposed throughout the *** primary idea is to use structured authentication scan chains to study the internal states of finite impulse response(FIR)components in order to detect and recover the exact state of faulty modules through the state of non-faulty ***,a simple solution of double modular redundancy(dMR)based fault tolerance was developed that takes advantage of the availability of parallel filters for image *** approach is expanded in this short to display how parallel filters can be protected using error correction codes(ECCs)in which each filter is comparable to a bit in a standard ECC.“Advanced error recovery for parallel systems,”the suggested technique,can find and eliminate hidden defects in FIR modules,and also restore the system from multiple failures impacting two FIR *** the implementation,Xilinx ISE 14.7 was found to have given significant error reduction capability in the fault calculations and reduction in the area which reduces the cost of *** were introduced in all the outputs of the functional filters and found that the fault in every output is corrected.

We present photometric observations in Sloan filters g′, i′of the eclipsing W UMa stars USNOA2.0 1350-17365531, v471 Cas, v479 Lac and v560 Lac. The sinusoidal-like O-C diagram of v471 Cas indicates the presence of a third body with mass 0.12 M_⊙(a red dwarf) at distance 897 R_⊙. The O-C diagram of v479 Lac reveals a period decrease of d P/dt =-1.69 × 10-6d yr-1. The results of the light curve solutions are:(i) the targets are overcontact binaries with small fill-out factors;(ii) their components are F–K stars, comparable in size, whose temperature differences are below 80 K;(iii) all targets undergo partial eclipses and to limit the possible mass ratios we carried out two-step q-search analysis. The target global parameters(luminosities, radii, masses) were obtained on the basis of their Gaia distances and the results of our light curve solutions. The obtained total mass of v560 Lac turns out to be smaller than the lower mass limit for presently known W UMa binaries of 1.0-1.2 M_⊙, i.e. this target is a peculiar overcontact system.

Anomalous ion heat transport is analyzed in the T-10 tokamak plasma heated with electron cyclotron resonance heating(ECRH) in second-harmonic extra-ordinary mode. Predictive modeling with empirical scaling for Ohmical heat conductivity shows that in ECRH plasmas the calculated ion temperature could be overestimated, so an increase of anomalous ion heat transport is required. To study this effect two scans are presented: over the EC resonance position and over the ECRH power. The EC resonance position varies from the high-field side to the low-field side by variation of the toroidal magnetic field. The scan over the heating power is presented with on-axis and mixed ECRH regimes. discharges with high anomalous ion heat transport are obtained in all considered regimes. In these discharges the power balance ion heat conductivity exceeds the neoclassical level by up to 10 times. The high ion heat transport regimes are distinguished by three parameters: the ratio Te/Ti, the normalized electron density gradient R/■, and the ion–ion collisionality νii~*. The combination of high Te/Ti, high νii~*, and R/■=6-10 results in values of normalized anomalous ion heat fluxes up to 10 times higher than in the low transport scenario.
