The precise micromanufacturing of complex dies with small structures for sheet-bulk metal forming is a challenge due to the high hardness of the materials to be machined. Experiments have shown that micromilling of these difficult-to-machine materials is possible despite of their high hardness. Nevertheless, the higher wear of the tools plays a decisive role. When implementing the machining task as five-axis process, it is possible to control the wear distribution by tilting the milling tools. In this paper, a simulation system is presented which determines the loads acting on the cut- ting edge with regard to different criteria, e.g., the machined material or the effective impulse. Based on this knowledge, it is possible to design the milling process to minimize the tool wear and thereby to increase the lifetime of the milling tools. In order to show the applicability of the simulation system, test workpieces were machined and the experimental results are compared to the simulation data.

Introduction: The constant aerobic training is traditionally considered as the best physical activity for diabetic patients. But there is existing problem with adherence (complience) of this type of exercise and toleration of the specific training intensity of exercise for such training time. The advantage of interval training is usage of higher intensity of exercise for very short time alternating with low intensity of exercise. The complex effect of this type of exercise is not mentioned in literature of type 2 diabetes too much. The aim of the study was to find the effect of interval training compound to long term participation of specific exercise program. Methods: 43 obese type 2 diabetes patients treated by diet, oral antidiabetics or insulin were randomized to 2 groups. The control group consisted of 22 patients (12 women, 10 men) with average age 67.4 ± 8.4. 21 patients in main group with average age 65.29 ± 10.67 participated in a controlled exercise program. Before and after the study, both of 2 groups had complex internal investigation including spiroergometry. Results: Fitness parameters improved in this group of diabetics, maximal achieved power in W·kg-1 increased statistically significantly p total cholesterol decreased statistically significantly p < 0.05;average values of LDL-cholesterol decreased about 4.9% and triglycerids about 22.4%;average value of HDL-cholesterol increased about 4.6%;fasting plasma glucose levels decreased about 10.5%. Percentage of body fat p < 0.05 and diastolic blood pressure p < 0.05 decreased based on statistics. BMI tended to decrease but WHR did not change at all. Conclusion: The physical intervention influenced statistically significantly some of the observed parameters. The interval training as a part of physical activities of diabetic patients positively intervenes in complicated system of metabolical processes.

Alternative Use of a Compressed Component of a Digestate from Agricultural BGSs （Biogas Stations）

The paper presents the results of a two-year research of properties and the way of use of briquettes and pellets made of separated and partially dehydrated digestate from agricultural BGSs （biogas stations）. Digestate is a by-product of BGS. There are approximately 170 agricultural BGSs operating in the Czech Republic. Unprocessed digestate with the dry mass content around 6% is usually applied to soil as a lighter mineral fertilizer. If digestate is separated and the separated solid component of the digestate is further dehydrated to 14 % moisture, it can be processed by pressing to the form of very solid pellets and briquettes, also with various additives. It was also ascertained that mechanical strength and shape of briquettes does not change due to long-term storage. In this form, the compressed digestate can be used in various ways. One of the ways is its energetic use by direct burning. That is why we have observed its calorific value and combustion heat. Another alternative use of compressed digestate from BGS is its application in targeted treatment of in particular mechanical properties of soil and its water regime. The briquettes and pellets have great water sorption properties--the briquette retains water and as a consequence grows up to four times in size. This specific property was analysed and it was ascertained that the speed of water sorption depends on the composition of the compressed mixture （i.e., the type of material and the size of its particles）, but also on the total weight of the produced briquettes （i.e., their size）. Similar dependency was ascertained for other briquette materials that were analysed.

A Qualitative Study of Individual and Organizational Learning through Physiotherapists’ Participation in a Research Project

The need for evidence-based practice has been recognized by physiotherapy organizations over the past decades. Earlier studies have documented facilitators and barriers that affect the use and implementation of evidence-based practice. Less is known about what kind of interventions might be useful to implement evidence-based practice. This study explores what physiotherapists learn through participation in a research project relevant to their professional development towards achieving a more evidence-based physiotherapy practice. To what extent this learning was transferred to colleagues for organizational learning is also examined. This study was set in Sweden, where health care is publicly funded. Patients do not need a referral from a physician to consult a physiotherapist. Eleven interviews were conducted with physiotherapists who had participated in a randomized, controlled, multicenter, physiotherapy intervention investigating neck-specific exercise for patients with whiplash disorder. Gadamer’s hermeneutics was used to analyze the data. The physiotherapists described a range of learning experiences from their project participation, including instrumental learning (the concrete application of knowledge to achieve changes in practice) and conceptual learning (changes in knowledge, understanding or attitudes). The research project enabled the physiotherapists to develop new treatment techniques for broader application and extend their competence in techniques already known (instrumental learning). The physiotherapists believed that project participation enhanced their overall competence as physiotherapists, increased their job motivation and strengthened their self-confidence and self-efficacy (conceptual learning). Physiotherapists’ participation in the research project yielded many individual learning experiences, fostered positive attitudes to research and was conducive to achieving a more research-informed physiotherapy practice. In this paper it is attempted to investigate the Leca blocks as sustainable construction material for the exterior walls of passive house. The building physical properties of Leca design wall structure are studied along with the environmental impact and load-bearing capacity. To compare the results, a similar analysis is carried out considering the traditional wooden wall construction of passive houses. The results showed that Leca design wall structure can be an alternative sustainable solution to the traditional wooden wall structure of passive house, mainly due to its low U-value, its ability to handle moisture, and comparable structural load-bearing capacity. However, the wooden wall structure is more environmentally friendly than the Leca blocks due to its lower emissions to the environment and reduced energy use, especially during the manufacturing process.

A reevaluation of the correlation between the synthesis parameters and structure and properties of nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes

Nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes（NCNTs） were synthesized by chemical vapor deposition using cobaltbased oxides as catalyst and ethylenediamine（EDA） as carbon/nitrogen precursor. The influence of growth time,EDA concentration and growth temperature on the morphology,yield,composition,graphitization and oxidation resistance of the NCNTs was systematically investigated by using Raman spectroscopy,temperature-programmed oxidation and other techniques. The NCNT growth from ethylenediamine with a high N/C ratio involves several processes including mainly（1） catalytic growth of NCNTs,（2） homogeneous gas-phase decomposition of EDA,（3） non-catalytic deposition of pyrolytic carbon/nitrogen species and（4）surface etching of amorphous carbon or carbon at defect sites through gasification. At a later growth stage the etching process appears to be dominating,leading to the thinning of nanotubes and the decrease of ***,the surface etching through carbon gasification strongly influences the structure and degree of graphitization of NCNTs.

The presence of irrelevant and correlated data points in a Raman spectrum can lead to a decline in classifier performance. We introduce support vector machine （SVM）-based recursive feature elimination into the field of Raman spectroscopy and demonstrate its performance on a data set of spectra of clinically relevant microorganisms in urine samples, along with patient samples. As the original technique is only suitable for two-class problems, we adapt it to the multi-class setting. It is shown that a large amount of spectral points can be removed without degrading the prediction accuracy of the resulting model notably.

AIM： To evaluate the frequency of the loss of the Adenomatous Polyposis Coil （APC） protein and to compare the APC status with the characteristics of colorectal adenomas. METHODS： Immunohistochemical analysis of the APC protein was performed on 118 adenomas and the results were compared with parameters of malignant potential, location of adenomas, macroscopic appearance and age of the patients. RESULTS： A complete loss of the APC protein was found in 28 （24%） adenomas, while 90 （76%） were APC positive. The mean size of adenomas was 13.5± 14.2 mm （95% CI 10.5-16.5） in APC-positive, and 13.8 ±15.5 mm （95% CI 7.8-19.8） in APC-negative adenomas （P = 0.364）. Statistical analysis revealed no difference between APC-positive and negative adenomas as to the histological type （P = 0.327） and grade of dysplasia （P =0.494）. We found that even advanced adenomas did not differ in their APC status from the non-advanced tumors （P = 0.414）. Finally, no difference was found when the location （P = 0.157）, macroscopic appearance （P = 0.571） and age of patients （P = 0.438） were analysed and compared between both APC positive and negative adenomas. CONCLUSION： Most adenomas expressed full-length APC protein, suggesting that protein expression is not a reliable marker for assessment of APC gene mutation. Complete loss of APC protein did not influence morphology, location, or appearance of adenomas, nor was it affected by the patient＇s age.
