颤音,是世界范围内相关学者、声乐艺术大师普遍公认的最重要的声乐演唱技术及声音美学特征。文章借助研究团队自主开发的测量歌唱颤音的方法及计算机分析检测程序,对世界各地55位知名声乐艺术大师的歌唱声音样本进行了针对性的提取、检测与科学的统计分析,获得了世界男低音歌唱家夏里亚宾个人,及男女声6个演唱声部的颤音参数(7项)。研究表明,良好的颤音技术会提高和优化歌唱声音的飞跃性、穿透力、抗噪性和清晰度。且据初步数据显示,较同相颤音而言,反相颤音能赋予歌唱声音更高级的美学品质。

Improving hydrocarbons production via catalytic co-pyrolysis of torrefied-biomass with plastics and dual catalytic pyrolysis

To increase the low yield and selectivity of aromatic hydrocarbons during the biomass pyrolysis process,we torrefied the biomass and then co-pyrolyzing with plastics such as high-density polyethylene(HDpE),polystyrene(pS),ethylene-vinyl acetate(EVA)and polypropylene(pp)and also single and dual catalyst layouts were investigated by py-GC/*** results showed that non-catalytic fast pyrolysis(CFp)of raw bagasse(RBG)generated no *** torrefaction non-CFp of torrefied bagasse(TBG)generated low aromatic *** that torrefaction would enhance the proportion of aromatics during the pyrolysis *** CFp of TBG_(200℃)and TBG_(240℃)over ZSM-5 produced the total aromatic yield of 1.96 and 1.88 times higher,respectively,compared to non-CFp of ***,the addition of plastic could increase H/Ceff ratio of the mixture,consequently,increase the yield of aromatic *** the various torrefied-bagasse/plastic mixtures,the CFp of TBG/EVA(7:3 ratio)mixture generated the highest the total aromatic yield of 7.7 times more than the CFp of TBG *** dual catalyst layout could enhance the yield of aromatics *** dual-catalytic co-pyrolysis of TBG_(200℃)/plastic(1:1)ratio over USY(ultra-stable Y zeolite)/ZSM-5,improved the total aromatics yield by 4.33 times more than the catalytic pyrolysis of TBG_(200℃)alone over ZSM-5 *** above results showed that the yield and selectivities of light aromatic hydrocarbons can be improved via catalytic co-pyrolysis and dual catalytic co-pyrolysis of torrefied-biomass with plastics.

Deletion or underexpression of the Y-chromosome genes CDY2 and HSFY is associated with maturation arrest in American men with nonobstructive azoospermia

Maturation arrest （MA） refers to failure of germ cell development leading to clinical nonobstructive azoospermia. Although the azoospermic factor （AZF） region of the human Y chromosome is clearly implicated in some cases, thus far very little is known about which individual Y-chromosome genes are important for complete male germ cell development. We sought to identify single genes on the Y chromosome that may be implicated in the pathogenesis of nonobstructive azoospermia associated with MA in the American population. Genotype-phenotype analysis of 132 men with Y-chromosome microdeletions was performed. protein-coding genes associated with MA were identified by visual analysis of a genotype-phenotype map. Genes associated with MA were selected as those genes within a segment of the Y chromosome that, when completely or partially deleted, were always associated with MA and absence of retrievable testicular sperm. Expression of each identified gene transcript was then measured with quantitative RT-pCR in testicular tissue from separate cohorts of patients with idiopathic MA and obstructive azoospermia. Ten candidate genes for association with MA were identified within an 8.4-Mb segment of the Y chromosome overlapping the AZFb region. CDY2and HSFYwere the only identified genes for which differences in expression were observed between the MA and obstructive azoospermia cohorts. Men with obstructive azoospermia had 12-fold higher relative expression of CDY2transcript （1.33__.0.40 vs. 0.11＋_0.04; p=O.O003） and 16-fold higher expression of HSFYtranscript （0.78__.0.32 vs. 0.05_0.02; p=O.O005） compared to men with MA. CDY2 and HSFYwere also underexpressed in patients with Sertoli cell only syndrome. These data indicate that CDY2and HSFYare located within a segment of the Y chromosome that is important for sperm maturation, and are underexpressed in testicular tissue derived from men with MA. Recovery of Baikiaea forest of southwestern Zambia from shifting cultivation and its implications for sustainable management

We studied the dominant species by age category of re-growth, and how subsistence forest use through shifting cultivation impacted on the floristic composition of Baikiaea forest. For re-growth stands, variable sampling method was adopted in data collection while in mature stands, a sample plot size of 50 m 9 50 m was used at each of three study sites. Distribution of species by age categories showed that shrub, herb, and grass species were abundant in young re-growth stands while woody vegetation became common with increasing age of the re-growth stand. Hierarchical clustering for common woody species showed several species associations with age categories and also with relatively undisturbed woodland. Common regeneration mechanisms of key woody species were mainly by seed(48%), coppicing(40%) and root suckers(12%). The young re-growth stands of 6–10 and 11–15 years were characterized by B. petersiana, ***, Combretum zeyheri, and Guibourtia coleosperma. Older stands(16–20 years after abandonment) were characterized by B. plurijuga, pterocarpus antunesii, and Baphia massiensis, thus closely mimicking the relatively undisturbed forest whose dominant key woody species were B. plurijuga, p. antunesii, and G. coloesperma. There were many stems in younger stands(2–5 years) and fewer stems in older re-growth stands of 16–20 years after abandonment following shifting cultivation. Older regrowth stands(16–20 years) were similar to undisturbed stands(p \ 0.005). The similarity between re-growth stands of 16–20 years and control stands demonstrates the recovery of Baikiaea forest over time after cessation of shifting agriculture. Baikiaea forest requires some disturbance to perpetuate the dominant species and begins to show signs of recovery from shifting cultivation within16–20 years after abandonment. This is contrary to assertions that this ecosystem could take up to about 100 years for abandoned fields to begin showing signs of

The on-going Coronavirus disease(COVID-19)outbreak in China has become the world's leading health headline and is causing major panic and public *** January 30,2020,the World Health Organization(WHO)declared that the new coronavirus outbreak is a public health emergency of international concern.1 The virus has already had a direct impact on more than 10 million people in the city of Wuhan and has reached other parts of China as well,posing a health threat of unknown magnitude *** of February 8,2020,WHO reported 34,886 confirmed cases of COVID-19 globally,with 34,589 of them occurring in China(including 6101 severe cases and 723 deaths).A total of 288 other confirmed cases(with 1 death)have been reported in 24 countries,including Japan,Australia,Germany,and United States.2 However,these daily estimates are expected to rise even higher as reports from health authorities in China3 are gathered and near real-time updates of the Johns Hopkins virus dashboard are made 4 The outbreak has caused governments in various countries to take swift and protective *** China,these included putting cities on lockdown,5 implementing travel wamings/bans and cancellations,6 extending national holidays,and closing schools and postponing classes7.

Evaluation of plant growth promoting potential of four rhizobacterial species for indigenous system

The aim of this work was to see whether pseudomonas putida NWU12, pseudomonas fluorescence NWU65, Vibrio fluvialis NWU37 and Ewingella americana NWU59 are beneficial to plants and are able to promote plant growth and development when inoculated as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (pGpR). The four rhizobacteria were tested in vitro for pGpR activities and on spinach and pepper in pot experiments. The inoculants are all positive for ammonia (NH3 ), catalase, hydrogen cyanide (HCN), phosphate solubilization and siderophore production. Among the inoculants, E. americana NWU59 is oxidase negative. p. putida NWU12 and p. fluorescence NWU65 are producing indole-3-acetic acid (IAA). The inoculants exhibit some pGpR activities and thus tested in the screen-house. Treatments are control (water) and the four inoculants. Rhizobacterial inoculants increase spinach (17.14%-21.43%) and pepper (15.0%-37.5%) plant heights over the control. Such inoculants have the potential of improving plant yield components and may be used as biofertilizer.
