Improving hydrocarbons production via catalytic co-pyrolysis of torrefied-biomass with plastics and dual catalytic pyrolysis

To increase the low yield and selectivity of aromatic hydrocarbons during the biomass pyrolysis process,we torrefied the biomass and then co-pyrolyzing with plastics such as high-density polyethylene(HDpE),polystyrene(pS),ethylene-vinyl acetate(EVA)and polypropylene(pp)and also single and dual catalyst layouts were investigated by py-GC/*** results showed that non-catalytic fast pyrolysis(CFp)of raw bagasse(RBG)generated no *** torrefaction non-CFp of torrefied bagasse(TBG)generated low aromatic *** that torrefaction would enhance the proportion of aromatics during the pyrolysis *** CFp of TBG_(200℃)and TBG_(240℃)over ZSM-5 produced the total aromatic yield of 1.96 and 1.88 times higher,respectively,compared to non-CFp of ***,the addition of plastic could increase H/Ceff ratio of the mixture,consequently,increase the yield of aromatic *** the various torrefied-bagasse/plastic mixtures,the CFp of TBG/EVA(7:3 ratio)mixture generated the highest the total aromatic yield of 7.7 times more than the CFp of TBG *** dual catalyst layout could enhance the yield of aromatics *** dual-catalytic co-pyrolysis of TBG_(200℃)/plastic(1:1)ratio over USY(ultra-stable Y zeolite)/ZSM-5,improved the total aromatics yield by 4.33 times more than the catalytic pyrolysis of TBG_(200℃)alone over ZSM-5 *** above results showed that the yield and selectivities of light aromatic hydrocarbons can be improved via catalytic co-pyrolysis and dual catalytic co-pyrolysis of torrefied-biomass with plastics.

This study was to assess the impact of permanent or temporary restricted feeding on laying hen production traits,physiology,and egg *** hundred and forty individually housed ISA Brown hens were monitored across 2 phases,assigned to 3 treatments:ad libitum feeding(ALF),temporary restricted feeding(TRF)and permanent restricted feeding(pRF),n=80 hens per *** phase 1(p1),22 to40 weeks,the TRF and pRF hens were offered 115 g of feed *** phase 2(p2),41 to 46 weeks,the TRF hens were transitioned to ALF status while the ALF and pRF hens remained as in *** 35 to 40 weeks,eggs were collected once weekly from 15 hens per treatment and assessed for differences in albumen,yolk,and shell *** 45 weeks,10 hens each from the ALF and pRF groups were euthanized and differences in organ characteristics were *** p1,feed intake,feed to egg conversion ratio and body weight(BW)change were lower(pppRF and TRF hen treatments compared to hens allocated the ALF *** p2,TRF and ALF hens had a higher egg production and egg mass than pRF(pp2 was higher in TRF and similar in both ALF and pRF,while feed intake and feed conversion ratio were higher in TRF followed by ALF and least in the pRF treatment group(ppad weight and fatty liver haemorrhagic syndrome lesion score compared to *** hens to 115 g of feed per day from point of lay restrained BW,improved feed conversion ratio and albumen quality and reduced abdominal fat pad deposition and clinical signs of fatty liver haemorrhagic syndrome in individually housed laying hens.

Background:Beginning with the concepts of stress developed by Selye,an approach to stress and pain management,known as neuro-emotional technique(NET),has been *** is a treatment approach based on the principle that the stressor effects of dormant and/or current unresolved issues or trauma are what determine one’s bodily *** responses are relatively personalized to the conditioned,experiential and emotional reality of the ***:To determine the effect of NET on patients with chronic low back pain(CLBp)over ***,setting,participants,and interventions:In a randomized,double-blinded,placebo-controlled study conducted in a single clinic,NET or control treatments were given twice weekly for 4 weeks in a population of 112 *** outcome measures:Outcome measures,including Oswestry Disability Index,Quadruple Visual Analogue Scale,the psychoneuroimmunology markers of blood serum levels of C-reactive protein,tumour necrosis factor-a,interleukin-1(IL-1),IL-6,and IL-10,and 10 dimensions of the Short Form Health Survey scale,were assessed at baseline and at 1,3 and 6 months following the intervention ***:Compared to placebo,NET produced clinical and statistical significance(pphysiological,pain and disability markers,accompanied by gains in quality-of-life indicators at 0(baseline),1,3 and 6 *** of the percentages of patients whose 5 biomarkers lay outside the normative range were achieved at 1,3 and 6 months by NET but not control ***:A randomized,controlled trial of CLBp patients indicated that 8 NET interventions,compared to placebo,produced clinically and statistically significant reductions in pain,disability and inflammatory biomarkers,and improvements in quality-of-life measures.

Nanoscale fluctuation of stacking fault energy strengthens multi-principal element alloys

Chemical randomness and the associated energy fluctuation are essential features of multi-principal ele-ment alloys(MpEAs).Due to these features,nanoscale stacking fault energy(SFE)fluctuation is a natural and independent contribution to strengthening ***,existing models for conventional alloys(i.e.,alloys with one principal element)cannot be applied to *** extreme values of SFEs required by such models are unknown for MpEAs,which need to calculate the nanoscale volume relevant to the SFE *** the present work,we developed an analytic model to evaluate the strengthening ef-fect through the SFE fluctuation,profuse in *** model has no adjustable parameters,and all parameters can be determined from experiments and ab initio *** model explains available experimental observations and provides insightful guidance for designing new MpEAs based on the SFE *** generally applies to MpEAs in random states and with chemical short-range order.

The study investigates the potential of UAV-based remote sensing technique for monitoring of Norway spruce health condition in the affected forest *** objectives are:(1)to test the applicability of UAV visible an near-infrared(VNIR)and geometrical data based on Z values of point dense cloud(pDC)raster to separate forest species and dead trees in the study area;(2)to explore the relationship between UAV VNIR data and individual spruce health indicators from field sampling;and(3)to explore the possibility of the qualitative classification of spruce health *** based on NDVI and pDC raster was successfully applied for separation of spruce and silver fir,and for identification of dead tree *** between common beech and fir was distinguished by the object-oriented image *** was able to identify the presence of key indicators of spruce health,such as mechanical damage on stems and stem resin exudation linked to honey fungus infestation,while stem damage by peeling was identified at the significance *** results contributed to improving separation of coniferous(spruce and fir)tree species based on VNIR and pDC raster UAV data,and newly demonstrated the potential of NDVI for qualitative classification of spruce *** proposed methodology can be applicable for monitoring of spruce health condition in the local forest sites.

Attentiveness to Early Warning Drought Information:Implications for policy Support and Climate Risk Reduction in Ghana

Successful drought planning is dependent on the generation of timely and accurate early warning *** there is little evidence to explain the extent to which crop farmers pay attention to and assimilate early warning drought information that aids in the policy formulation in support of drought risk reduction.A socioecological survey,using a structured questionnaire administered to 426 crop farming households,was carried out in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region,*** data analytic techniques used were frequency tables,relative importance index,and multinomial logistics embedded in SpSS v.20 *** results show that crop farmers predominantly rely on agricultural extension officers for early warning drought information,with an estimated 78% of them paying little to very much attention to the *** likelihood ratio Chi-square test showed that there is a significant improvement in fit as X^(2)(20)=96.792,ppredictors for crop farmers paying no attention at all to early warning drought information,while household status was the only significant factor among those paying a little *** drive to build a climate-resilient society with effective early warning centers across Ghana will receive 60% lower support from crop farmers paying no to a little attention as compared to farmers paying very much attention to early warning drought *** stakeholder engagements should be carried out to harness inclusive support from crop farmers to build a climate-resilient society in Ghana.
