Dynamic SLAM Visual Odometry Based on Instance Segmentation:A Comprehensive Review

Dynamic Simultaneous Localization and Mapping(SLAM)in visual scenes is currently a major research area in fields such as robot navigation and autonomous ***,in the face of complex real-world envi-ronments,current dynamic SLAM systems struggle to achieve precise localization and map *** the advancement of deep learning,there has been increasing interest in the development of deep learning-based dynamic SLAM visual odometry in recent years,and more researchers are turning to deep learning techniques to address the challenges of dynamic *** to dynamic SLAM systems based on deep learning methods such as object detection and semantic segmentation,dynamic SLAM systems based on instance segmentation can not only detect dynamic objects in the scene but also distinguish different instances of the same type of object,thereby reducing the impact of dynamic objects on the SLAM system’s *** article not only introduces traditional dynamic SLAM systems based on mathematical models but also provides a comprehensive analysis of existing instance segmentation algorithms and dynamic SLAM systems based on instance segmentation,comparing and summarizing their advantages and *** comparisons on datasets,it is found that instance segmentation-based methods have significant advantages in accuracy and robustness in dynamic ***,the real-time performance of instance segmentation algorithms hinders the widespread application of dynamic SLAM *** recent years,the rapid development of single-stage instance segmentationmethods has brought hope for the widespread application of dynamic SLAM systems based on instance ***,possible future research directions and improvementmeasures are discussed for reference by relevant professionals.

Photodynamic therapy(PDT)has emerged as a promising approach for squamous cell carcinoma treatment but hindered by tumor hypoxia,acquired resistance,phototoxicity,and so *** address these issues,we developed a smart strategy utilizing activable photosensitizers delivered by an aptamer-functionalized DNA probe(ADP).The ADP incorporated an AS1411 aptamer for tumor targeting and a linear antisense oligonucleotide(ASO)for recognition of Survivin *** the absence of the target,PDT remained quenched,thereby avoiding phototoxicity during circulation and nonselective *** the aid of the aptamer,ADP achieved selective targeting of *** internalization,ADP targeted recognized Survivin mRNA,triggering PDT activation,and releasing ASO to down-regulate Survivin expression and reverse tumor ***,the activable photosensitizers exhibited an“AND”logic gate,combining tumor-targeting delivery and tumor-related gene activation,thus enhancing its ***,the incorporation of hemin into the ADP provided catalase activity,converting tumor-abundant H_(2)O_(2) into O_(2),thereby ameliorating tumor *** resulting functionalized G-quadruplex/hemin–DNA probe complex demonstrated targeted delivery and activation,minimized side effects,and enhanced PDT efficacy in both xenograft tumor-bearing mice and patient-derived xenograft *** study offers a unique and promising platform for efficient and safe PDT,thus holding great potential for future clinical translation and improved cancer therapy.

Effects of processing parameters on fabrication defects,microstructure and mechanical properties of additive manufactured Mg–Nd–Zn–Zr alloy by selective laser melting process

Mg–3Nd–0.2Zn–0.4Zr(NZ30K,wt.%)alloy is a new kind of high-performance metallic *** combination of the NZ30K Magnesium(Mg)alloy and selective laser melting(SLM)process seems to be an ideal solution to produce porous Mg degradable ***,the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the SLMed NZ30K Mg alloy were not yet studied ***,the fabrication defects,microstructure,and mechanical properties of the SLMed NZ30K alloy under different processing parameters were *** results show that there are two types of fabrication defects in the SLMed NZ30K alloy,gas pores and unfused *** the increase of the laser energy density,the porosity sharply decreases to the minimum first and then slightly *** minimum porosity is 0.49±0.18%.While the microstructure varies from the large grains with lamellar structure inside under low laser energy density,to the large grains with lamellar structure inside&the equiaxed grains&the columnar grains under middle laser energy density,and further to the fine equiaxed grains&the columnar grains under high laser energy *** lamellar structure in the large grain is a newly observed microstructure for the NZ30K Mg *** laser energy density leads to finer grains,which enhance all the yield strength(YS),ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and elongation,and the best comprehensive mechanical properties obtained are YS of 266±2.1 MPa,UTS of 296±5.2 MPa,with an elongation of 4.9±0.68%.The SLMed NZ30K Mg alloy with a bimodal-grained structure consisting of fine equiaxed grains and coarser columnar grains has better elongation and a yield drop phenomenon.

In the intelligent medical diagnosis area,Artificial Intelligence(AI)’s trustworthiness,reliability,and interpretability are critical,especially in cancer *** neural networks,while excellent at processing natural images,often lack interpretability and adaptability when processing high-resolution digital pathological *** limitation is particularly evident in pathological diagnosis,which is the gold standard of cancer diagnosis and relies on a pathologist’s careful examination and analysis of digital pathological slides to identify the features and progression of the ***,the integration of interpretable AI into smart medical diagnosis is not only an inevitable technological trend but also a key to improving diagnostic accuracy and *** this paper,we introduce an innovative Multi-Scale Multi-Branch Feature Encoder(MSBE)and present the design of the CrossLinkNet *** MSBE enhances the network’s capability for feature extraction by allowing the adjustment of hyperparameters to configure the number of branches and *** CrossLinkNet Framework,serving as a versatile image segmentation network architecture,employs cross-layer encoder-decoder connections for multi-level feature fusion,thereby enhancing feature integration and segmentation *** quantitative and qualitative experiments on two datasets demonstrate that CrossLinkNet,equipped with the MSBE encoder,not only achieves accurate segmentation results but is also adaptable to various tumor segmentation tasks and scenarios by replacing different feature ***,CrossLinkNet emphasizes the interpretability of the AI model,a crucial aspect for medical professionals,providing an in-depth understanding of the model’s decisions and thereby enhancing trust and reliability in AI-assisted diagnostics.

A Railway Fastener Inspection Method Based on Abnormal Sample Generation

Regular fastener detection is necessary to ensure the safety of ***,the number of abnormal fasteners is significantly lower than the number of normal fasteners in real *** supervised inspectionmethods have insufficient detection ability in cases of imbalanced *** solve this problem,we propose an approach based on deep convolutional neural networks(DCNNs),which consists of three stages:fastener localization,abnormal fastener sample generation based on saliency detection,and fastener state ***,a lightweight YOLOv5s is designed to achieve fast and precise localization of fastener ***,the foreground clip region of a fastener image is extracted by the designed fastener saliency detection network(F-SDNet),combined with data augmentation to generate a large number of abnormal fastener samples and balance the number of abnormal and normal ***,a fastener inspection model called Fastener ResNet-8 is constructed by being trained with the augmented fastener *** show the effectiveness of our proposed method in solving the problem of sample imbalance in fastener *** and quantitative comparisons show that the proposed F-SDNet outperforms other state-of-the-art methods in clip region extraction,reaching MAE and max F-measure of 0.0215 and 0.9635,*** addition,the FPS of the fastener state inspection model reached 86.2,and the average accuracy reached 98.7%on 614 augmented fastener test sets and 99.9%on 7505 real fastener datasets.

Excitonic optical properties in monolayer SnP_(2)S_(6)

Quantum confinement effect and reduced dielectric screening in two-dimensional(2D)dramatically enhance theelectron-hole *** this work,we use many-body perturbation theory and Bethe-Salpeter equation(BSE)toinvestigate the electronic and excitonic optical properties of monolayer SnP_(2)S_(6).Our findings reveal that the excitoniceffect dominates the optical absorption spectra in the visible light range,and the lowest-energy exciton X0 in monolayerSnP_(2)S_(6)is optically bright with the binding energy of 0.87 eV and the radiative lifetime of~10^(-11)s,which is highly advantageousto the *** importantly,the absence of optically forbidden states below the bright statesX0 would give rise to a high quantum efficiency of 2D SnP_(2)S_(6).We also find that applied biaxial strain can further shortenthe radiative lifetime of the bright *** results imply that 2D SnP_(2)S_(6)is a promising candidate for the optoelectronicdevices.

Online learning-based model predictive trajectory control forconnected and autonomous vehicles: Modeling and physical tests

Motivated by the promising benefits of connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) in improving fuelefficiency, mitigating congestion, and enhancing safety, numerous theoretical models have been proposed to plan CAVmultiple-step trajectories (time–specific speed/location trajectories) to accomplish various operations. However, limitedefforts have been made to develop proper trajectory control techniques to regulate vehicle movements to follow multiplesteptrajectories and test the performance of theoretical trajectory planning models with field experiments. Without aneffective control method, the benefits of theoretical models for CAV trajectory planning can be difficult to harvest. This studyproposes an online learning-based model predictive vehicle trajectory control structure to follow time–specific speed andlocation profiles. Unlike single-step controllers that are dominantly used in the literature, a multiple-step model predictivecontroller is adopted to control the vehicle’s longitudinal movements for higher accuracy. The model predictive controlleroutput (speed) cannot be interpreted by vehicles. A reinforcement learning agent is used to convert the speed value to thevehicle’s direct control variable (i.e., throttle/brake). The reinforcement learning agent captures real-time changes in theoperating environment. This is valuable in saving parameter calibration resources and improving trajectory control accuracy.A line tracking controller keeps vehicles on track. The proposed control structure is tested using reduced-scale robot *** adaptivity of the proposed control structure is demonstrated by changing the vehicle load. Then, experiments on twofundamental CAV platoon operations (i.e., platooning and split) show the effectiveness of the proposed trajectory controlstructure in regulating robot movements to follow time-specific reference trajectories.

BACKGROUND Colon cancer is acknowledged as one of the most common malignancies worldwide,ranking third in United States regarding incidence and ***,approximately 40%of colon cancer cases harbor oncogenic KRAS mutations,resulting in the continuous activation of epidermal growth factor receptor *** To investigate the key pathogenic genes in KRAS mutant colon cancer holds considerable *** Weighted gene co-expression network analysis,in combination with additional bioinformatics analysis,were conducted to screen the key factors driving the progression of KRAS mutant colon ***,various in vitro experiments were also conducted to explore the biological function of transglutaminase 2(TGM2).RESULTS Integrated analysis demonstrated that TGM2 acted as an independent prognostic factor for progression-free *** analysis on tissue microarrays revealed that TGM2 was associated with an elevated probability of perineural invasion in patients with KRAS mutant colon ***,biological roles of the key gene TGM2 was also assessed,suggesting that the downregulation of TGM2 attenuated the proliferation,invasion,and migration of the KRAS mutant colon cancer cell *** This study underscores the potential significance of TGM2 in the progression of KRAS mutant colon *** insight not only offers a theoretical foundation for therapeutic approaches but also highlights the need for additional clinical trials and fundamental research to support our preliminary findings.
