Ultra-sensitive and wide applicable strain sensor enabled by carbon nanofibers with dual alignment for human machine interfaces

Flexible strain sensors with high sensitivity,wide detection range,and low detection limit have continuously attracted great interest due to their tremendous application potential in areas such as health/medical-care,human-machine interface,as well as safety and *** both of a high sensitivity and a wide working range are desired key parameters for a strain sensor,they are usually contrary to each other to be achieved on the same sensor due to the tightly structure dependence of both of ***,a flexible strain sensor with both high sensitivity and wide strain detection range is prepared based on the design of an integrated membrane containing both of parallel aligned and randomly aligned carbon nanofibers(CNFs).The parallel aligned CNF membrane(p-CNF)exhibits a low strain detection limit and high sensitivity,while the random aligned CNF membrane(r-CNF)exhibits a large strain detection *** the advantages of both p-CNF and r-CNF,the strain sensor with stacked p-CNF and r-CNF(p/r-CNF)exhibits both high sensitivity and wide working *** gauge factor(GF)is 1,272 for strains under 0.5%and 2,266 for strain from 70%to 100%.At the same time,it can work in a wide strain range of 0.005%to 100%,fulfilling the requirements for accurately detecting full-range human *** demonstrated its applications in the recognition of facial expressions and joint ***,we constructed an intelligent lip-language recognition system,which can accurately track phonetic symbols and may help people with language disabilities,proving the potential of this strain sensor in health management and medical ***,we foresee that the dual-alignment structure design of the p/r-CNF strain sensor may also be applied in the design of other high performance sensors.

Experimental and numerical simulation study on the erosion behavior of the elbow of gathering pipeline in shale gas field

During the production period of shale gas, proppant particles and rock debris are produced together,which will seriously erode the elbows of gathering pipelines. In response to this problem, this paper takes the elbow of the gathering pipeline in the Changning Shale Gas Field as an example to test the erosion rate and material removal mechanism of the test piece at different angles of the elbow through experiments and compares the four erosion models with the experimental results. Through analysis, it is found that the best prediction model for quartz sand-carbon steel erosion is the Oka model. Based on the Oka model, FLUENT software was used to simulate and analyze the law of erosion of the elbow of the gas gathering pipeline under different gas flow velocities, gas gathering pressure, particle size, length of L1,and bending directions of the elbow. And a spiral pipeline structure is proposed to reduce the erosion rate of the elbow under the same working conditions. The results show that this structure can reduce erosion by 34%.

Association between heat and upper urinary tract stones morbidity and medical costs: A study in the subtropical humid climate zone

Urolithiasis is a heat-specific *** heat-related urolithiasis susceptibility subtypes,economic burden,and modifying factors could assist governments in targeting interventions to reduce the heat-related health risks of urolithiasis *** collected data on 23,492 patients with upper urinary tract stones(main subtypes of urolithiasis)from 2013 to 2017 in Nanjing,*** adopted generalized additive quasi-Poisson models to examine the associations between daily mean temperatures and morbidity of upper urinary tract stones,while generalized additive Gaussian models were used to explore the relationships between temperatures and log-transformed medical *** examined the modification effects of disease subtypes(kidney and ureteral calculus),sex,and age through stratified analyses and the modif-cation effects of other meteorological factors by introducing interaction terms in the *** found that short-term summer heat exposure has a statistically significant effect on ureteral calculus morbidity but not on kidney calculus *** ureter calculus,a 1℃ temperature increase was associated with a 4.36%(95%confidence interval[CI]:1.94%,6.83%)increase in daily hospitalization and a 5.44%(95%CI:2.71%,8.25%)increase in daily medical *** attributable fraction associated with heat(greater than the median value of daily mean temperature,26.8℃)was 7.85%(95%empirical confidence interval[eCI]:3.64%,11.44%)for hospitalization and 9.36%(95%eCI:4.91%,13.14%)for medical *** effects of heat on ureter calculus morbidity were significantly higher among the males and those with high sunshine duration than females and those with low sunshine ***-term summer heat exposure was associated with increased morbidity and medical costs of ureteral *** government organizations should take effective intervention measures,including community health education,to reduce the health hazards and economic losses caused by heat.

A series of squarylium cyanine dyes with different substituents were synthesized and the third-order optical nonlinearities of their ground and excited states were investigated by backward degenerate *** the ground state,the molecular hyperpolarizabilityγg increases with the red-shift of the absorption peakλabmax,of the squaraine with different substituents,whereas for the excited-state molecular hyperpolarizabilityγe,the nonlinear enhancementγe/γg decreases,which may indicate that in the excited state the electron accepting-donating ability of different substituents changes in the reverse order compared with the order in the ground state.

Study of differential polymerase chain reaction of C-erbB-2 oncogene amplification in gastric cancer

AIM To study the significance of C-erbB-2 oncogene amplification in gastric *** C-erbB-2 oncogene amplification was examined by using differential polymerase chain reaction (dPCR) in surgical and endoscopic specimens of 83 cases of gastric cancer and 101 metastatic lymph *** C-erbB-2 amplification was found in 28.9% (24/ 83) surgical specimens and 20.5% (17/ 83) endoscopic ones of gastric cancer patients. The amplification was significant in both types of specimens of advanced cancer cases (P＜0.05) and surgical specimens with lymph node metastasis (P＜0.01). The incidence of C-erbB-2 amplification in lymph nodes with metastasis was higher than in primary sites (surgical specimens, P＜0.05). The patients with amplification tumors had poorer 5-year survival rates than those with unamplification ones in the early cancers and well to moderately differentiated adenocarcinomas (P＜0.05). The same surgical samples were tested again by Southern blot hybridization to ascertain C-erbB-2 amplification, and the positive rate of C-erbB-2 amplification (15.7%) was lower than that of dPCR (28.9%, P＜0.05).CONCLUSION Examining C-erbB-2 amplification by dPCR is a quick, simple, reliable and independent method, and is helpful in predicting prognosis and metastatic potential of gastric cancer.

Efficient capture,safe storage and release of tritium from the international thermonuclear experimental reactor(ITER) reaction exhaust gas is a perplexing problem,and the development of an efficient tritium-getter material with ultra-low hydrogenation equilibrium pressure is considered as a reliable *** this work,Zr_(2)Co alloy was selected as a tritium-getter material and prepared through induction levitation *** performance test results show that Zr_(2)Co exhibits an ultra-low hydrogenation equilibrium pressure of 3.22 × 10^(-6) Pa at 25℃ and excellent hydriding kinetics under a low hydrogen pressure of 0.005 ***,unique phase transition behaviors were presented in Zr_(2)Co-H ***,Zr_(2)CoH_(5) formed by Zr_(2)Co hydrogenated at room temperature is initially decomposed into ZrH_(2) and ZrCoH_(3) at200 ℃.With the temperature increasing to 350 ℃,ZrCoH_(3)is dehydrogenated to ZrCo,and then ZrCo further reacts with ZrH_(2) at 650 ℃ to reform Zr_(2)Co and *** the staged phase transition pathways during dehydrogenation,the decomposition of Zr_(2)CoH_(5) occurs preferentially,which is well accordance with both the smallest reaction energy barrier and the maximum reaction spontaneity that are determined respectively from kinetics activation energy and thermodynamics Gibbs free ***,first principles calculation results indicate that the stronger binding of hydrogen in interstitial environments of ZrCoH_(3)and ZrH_(2) triggers the hydrogen-stabilized phase transformation of Zr_(2)CoH_(5).The unique phase transition mechanisms in Zr_(2)Co-H system can shed light on the further exploration and regulation of analogous staged phase transition of hydrogen storage materials.

The application of organic photovoltaic(OPV)cells to drive off-grid microelectronic devices under indoor light has attracted broad *** organic semiconductors intrinsically have less ordered intermolecular packing than inorganic materials,the relatively larger energetic disorder is one of the main results that limit the photovoltaic efficiency of the OPV cells at low carrier ***,we optimize the alkyl chains of non-fullerene acceptors to get suppressed energetic *** find the optimal acceptor DTz-R1 with the shortest alkyl chain has the strongest crystalline property and lowest energetic *** a result,over 26%efficiency is recorded for the 1 cm^(2) OPV cells under a light-emitting diode illumination of 500 *** also fabricate a 100 cm^(2) cell device and get a PCE of 23.0%,which is an outstanding value for large-area OPV *** results suggest that modulation of the energetic disorder is of great importance for further improving the efficiency of OPV cells,especially for indoor applications.

Objective To study the effects of N-palmitoylethanolamide（PEA） on depression like behaviors of rats induced by chronically unpredicted mild stress, and to explore the possible mechanisms of PEA on depression. Methods The rats were exposed to chronically unpredicted mild stress（except the normal control group） for 35 consecutive days and were treated with PEA 2.5, 5, 10 mg/kg（po）, respectively, for 28 consecutive days once daily. After the last administration, the rats were submitted to the open field test（OFT） and sucrose preference test（SPT） to observe the effects of PEA on the depression like behaviors. After the behavior tests, the rat serum was separated and the serum adrenocorticotropic hormone（ACTH） and cortisol（CORT） levels were detected using ELISA method. Results（1） PEA normalized the total locomotion distance, movement time, and the immobility time of CUMS rats in open field test.（2） PEA normalized the percent of sucrose preference of CUMS rats in sucrose preference test.（3） PEA normalized serum ACTH and CORT levels of CUMS rats. Conclusion PEA produced antagonistic effects on depression like behavior in rats induced by CUMS;its specific mechanism may be related to the regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitaryadrenal（HPA axis） function.
