Histological Assessment of Bone Regeneration in the Maxilla with Homologous Bone Graft:A Feasible Option for Maxillary Bone Reconstruction

Evaluation of Physicochemical,Microbiological and Sensory Stability of Frozen Stored Vacuum-Packed Lamb Meat

Nowadays, lamb meat represents only 7% of all meat produced in the world. In recent years the demand for standardized lamb meat cuts has been considered of great importance and the marketing occurs predominantly in the form of frozen cuts. Herewith, the main of this work was to evaluate the stability and safety of lamb meat during frozen storage. Meats were vacuum packed in high barrier multilayer plastic iflms and stored during 12 mon at （-18±1）℃. The meat stability was assessed by physical and chemical （lipid oxidation, objective color, pH value, cooking losses and instrumental texture）, microbiological （total count of psychrotrophic, coliform count at 45℃, coagulase-positive staphylococci and the presence of Salmonella） and sensory analysis （acceptance test and visual evaluation）. The vacuum packed lamb meat remained stable as to most physical and chemical indexes. Microbiological indexes showed good stability throughout the storage period according to Brazilian legislation standards to pathogenic microorganisms. Although a signiifcant reduction in tenderness （shear force increase from 3 to 8 kg）, it showed a good sensorial acceptance for all attributes tested, including texture, with scores of around 7 （like moderately） during the 12 mon of storage. Therefore, it can be concluded that, under the conditions applied in this study, lamb meat presents a shelf life of at least 12 mon when stored at-18℃.

How Does Heat-Stress Intensity Affect the Stability of Microbial Activity and Diversity of Soil Microbial Communities in Outfields and Homefields’ Cultivation Practices in the Senegalese Groundnut Basin?

Agroecosystems in the Senegalese groundnut basin experience long periods of high temperatures and drought, which disrupt the stability of soil microbial communities. This study evaluated how that stability is affected by homefields and outfields’ agricultural practices and the duration of heat stress. Specifically, we collected soils from organically farmed fields that receive continual high inputs of manure (homefields), and from fields that are rarely manured (outfields). Soil samples were submitted to artificial heat stress at 60°C for 3, 14, and 28 days, followed by 28 days of recovery at 28°C. We examined the functional stability of microbial communities by quantifying C mineralization, and characterized the stability of the communities’ taxonomic compositions via high-throughput DNA sequencing. We found that the microbial communities have a low resistance to heat stress in soils from both types of fields. However, the manuring practice does affect how the functional stability of microbial communities responds to different durations of heat stress. Although functional stability was not recovered fully in either soil, microbial community resilience seemed to be greater in homefield soils. Differences in manuring practices also affected the structural taxonomic stability of microbial communities: relative abundances of Bacilli, Chloroflexia, Actinobacteria and Sordariomycetes increased in the homefield stressed-soils, but decreased significantly in outfield soils. In contrast, relative abundances of α-Proteobacteria, γ-Proteobacteria and Eurotiomycetes increased significantly in outfield stressed-soils, while decreasing significantly in the homefield soils. Relative abundances of Bacilli changed little in outfield soils, indicating that this taxon is resistant to heat stress. Influence of peanut skin extract on shelf-life of sheep patties

Objective: To evaluate the phenolic profile and antioxidant activity in vitro of peanut skin extract(PSE) and effect of PSE on characteristics of sheep patties during ***: PSE phenolic profile was evaluated in LC–MS analysis and by total phenolic content, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging capacity and ferric reducing/antioxidant power. Patties elaborated with sheep meat were packaged in modified atmosphere and storage at(2 ± 1)C. The analyses were performed every 5 days for 20 days on microbial counts, physico-chemical properties, lipid oxidation, protein stability and sensory ***: The major group of phenolic compounds in PSE was the proanthocyanidins followed by other flavonoids, which are related to potential phenolic content and antioxidant activity. The addition of PSE and butyl hydroxytoluene(BHT) reduced the microbial counts during the storage time, caused reduction on the loss of redness and sensory properties over time. The lipid and protein oxidation in sheep patties was effectively inhibited by PSE and ***: The present results showed the potential application of PSE as a natural alternative to replace synthetic antioxidants(BHT) for increasing the quality and extending the shelf-life of sheep patties.

Groundwater Chemical Evolution in the Essaouira Aquifer Basin—NW Morocco

The sustainability of groundwater resources for drinking water supplies, agriculture, and industry a prime concern in countries dominated by arid and semi-arid climates such as Morocco. The growing demand for groundwater coupled with impacts from land use and climate change make sustainability an even more important water management goal. In order to make sound decisions about water use and protection of water quality, managers and policy makers must have a sound understanding of such factors as the location and amount of groundwater recharge and groundwater ages. Due to the population growth and climate change (causing long periods of drought) in the world, many countries have intensively increased their use of water sources for supplying potable water to population and for their agricultural (irrigation) and industrial developments. Due to the lack of surface waters, people exploit mainly underground water reservoirs. So, it is necessary to study and characterize these water reservoirs to avoid any excess of exploitation. The water resources of the Essaouira basin are characteristic of a semi-arid climate, and are severely impacted by the climate (quantity and quality). Considering the importance of the Essaouira aquifer in the groundwater supply of the region, a study was conducted in order to comprehend this aquifer groundwater evolution. It is an aquifer located on the Atlantic coastline, southern (Morocco), corresponding to a sedimentary basin with an area of near200 km2. Covering the Palaeozoic bedrock, the sedimentary series range from the Triassic to the Quaternary. The geological structures delineate a syncline bordered by the Tidzi diapir of Triassic age which outcrops to the East and South. In the Essaouira basin a multi-aquifer was identified constituted by detrital deposits of the Plioquaternary and dolomitic limestones of the Turonian. 背景:早期神经功能恶化（END）是急性缺血性脑卒中发生后临床常见的不良事件,发生率约为13-38%,并且是轻型急性缺血性脑卒中患者功能预后的关键性因素。早期识别END对于轻型急性缺血性脑卒中患者的早期治疗至关重要,并且有助于预防可能的并发症。目的:本研究旨在通过探究轻型急性缺血性脑卒中患者的影像学资料和临床特征来研究END的预测因素。方法:回顾性分析2018年12月至2021年3月期间在东南大学附属医院神经内科收治的急性轻度缺血性脑卒中（NIHSS评分≤5）患者226例。本研究END定义为入院72小时内,运动功能单项评分至少增加1分或美国国立卫生研究院卒中量表（NIHSS）总评分增加≥2分。分析患者的人口统计学特征,脑血管疾病危险因素,脑卒中病灶位置,神经影像学指标,以及相关的动脉闭塞性病变。对于连续数值型资料,如果满足正态性和方差齐性,使用两样本独立T检验比较两组间的差异;如果不满足正态性和方差齐性,采用秩和检验。对于分类资料,采用卡方检验比较组间差异。使用单因素和多因素logistic回归研究影响END发生的因素。结果:纳入研究的226例患者中,男性145例,女性81例,平均年龄69.59±9.20岁。其中,23例（10.2%）患者出现END事件,203例患者未出现END事件。END,组平均年龄为72.70（±8.70）,且没有出现因中风恶化所致的死亡事件。单因素分析显示,在有神经系统恶化和无神经系统恶化的两组之间,年龄（P=0.038）,糖尿病病史（P=0.042）和大血管闭塞（P=0.015）存在显著差异。对单因素分析中具有统计学意义的危险因素进行多变量logistic回归分析,同时,我们将具有临床意义的变量,性别（P=0.061）、抗凝药史（P=0.070）、高血压病史（P=0.247）、脑卒中病史（P=0.331）、心房颤动史（P=1.000）和静脉应用rt-PA（P=1.000）加入多因素分析,结果显示,年龄（OR=1.075;95%CI:1.005～1.150,P=0.035）,糖尿病病史（OR=3.770;95%CI:1.300～10.935,P=0.015）和大血管闭塞（OR=3.546,95%CI:1.193～10.534,P=0.023）是END的独立预测因子,性别（OR=4.440,95%CI:1.122～16.137,P=0.024）,抗凝药史（OR=10.520,95%CI:1.559～68.877,P=0.014）,高血压病史（OR=0.560,95%CI:0.200～1.669,P=0.284）,脑卒中病史（OR=0.523,95%CI:0.142～1.670,P=0.253）,心房颤动（OR=0.487,95%CI:0.068～3.427,P=0.468）,抗血小板药史（OR=1.443,95%CI:0.447～4.660,P=0.540）和静脉注射rt-PA（OR=0.520,95%CI:1.607～73.949,P=0.433）均是END的相关预测因子。结论:年龄、糖尿病病史、大血管闭塞是轻型急性缺血性脑卒中后的END的独立预测因素。

Quality of Service to Users of Primary Health Care:A Study of Evaluation

The quality of service to people in Primary Healthcare (PHC) is linked to the provision of quality service by professionals who integrate this service in the community. Accordingly, this study aims to evaluate the service given by health professionals in primary health care, from the user’s perception. This is an evaluative and quantitative study, conducted with people who use the PHC service. 180 adults are interviewed in the city of Santa Cruz, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The results show that most respondents are women. The average age is of 36.65, median of 34.00 and standard deviation of 11,554. With regards to the quality of service, it ranges from fair to good. When performing correlation between the quality of service and time spent to reach the service, most people say that they spend between 0 and 15 minutes from their house to the healthcare service unit. About reception, respondents reported being satisfied and that the service has been responsible and quality for health monitoring. Thus, it is noted that the user classifies the quality of the service in primary healthcare as regular, showing weaknesses that need to be corrected to prevent damage in service provision in Primary Healthcare.

Near Infrared(NIR)spectroscopy is an analytical technology widely used for the nondestructive characterisation of organic samples,considering both qualitative and quantitative *** the present study,the combination of Multi-target(MT)prediction approaches and Machine Learning algorithms has been evaluated as an effective strategy to improve prediction performances of NIR data from wheat flour *** different Multi-target approaches have been tested:Multi-target Regressor Stacking(MTRS),Ensemble of Regressor Chains(ERC)and Deep Structure for Tracking Asynchronous Regressor Stack(DSTARS).Each one of these techniques has been tested with different regression methods:Support Vector Machine(SVM),Random Forest(RF)and Linear Regression(LR),on a dataset composed of NIR spectra of bread wheat flours for the prediction of qualityrelated *** combining all MT techniques and predictors,we obtained an improvement up to 7%in predictive performance,compared with the corresponding Single-target(ST)*** results support the potential advantage of MT techniques over ST techniques for analysing NIR spectra.
