Ultrasound guided testicular fine needle aspiration in buck (Capra hircus)-An animal model

Objective:To establish ultrasound guided testicular fine needle aspiration (TFNA) as well as to assess the effectiveness of uni-directional (UD) and multi-directional (mD) TFNA in buck according to testicular cells, echotexture and gross changes of testicle, age of buck was ***:A total of 120 samples were collected with both directions (UD, n=60) and (mD,n=60) suction from testis of 10 apparently healthy bucks. All slides were stained with may-Grünwald-Giemsa and examined under light microscope with 1000× magnifications to count spermatogenic cells, spermatozoa and sertoli cells. The percentage of spermatozoa and sertoli cells were expressed as spermatic index and sertoli cell ***:Results revealed no difference in the presence of various spermatogenic and sertoli cells in cell cluster of slides made either unidirectional TFNA or multidirectional TFNA. Early spermatids were the most numerous, followed by late spermatids, primary spermatocytes, spermatogonia. Sertoli cell index was higher in TFNA smears of young bucks prepared from (7-13 mo) of age and spermatic index was higher in adult bucks (14-24 mo) of age. No echogenic change was observed in the echotexture of testisafter ***: It seems that TFNA has no serious ill effect on the buck testis when uni-direction aspiration is performed. moreover, the possibility to standardize this method might provide a greater impulse to the clinical diagnostics of male animal infertility.

We investigate a basisity problem in the space =lpA（D）and in its invariant sub-spaces. Namely, let W denote a unilateral weighted shift operator acting in the spacelpA（D）, 1≤p《∞, by W zn=λnzn＋1, n≥0, with respect to the standard basis λzn＋1 n≥0. Applying the so-called ＂discrete Duhamel product＂ technique, it is proven that for any integer k ≥1 the sequence {（wi＋nk）-1｜W ｜Ei）knf}n≥0 is a basic sequence in Ei ：=span{zi＋n ：n≥0} equivalent to the basis {zi＋n}n≥0 if and only if fb（i） 6= 0. We also investigate a Banach algebra structure for the subspaces Ei, i≥0.

Historical Arabic Images Classification and Retrieval Using Siamese Deep Learning model

Classifying the visual features in images to retrieve a specific image is a significant problem within the computer vision field especially when dealing with historical faded colored ***,there were lots of efforts trying to automate the classification operation and retrieve similar images *** reach this goal,we developed a VGG19 deep convolutional neural network to extract the visual features from the images ***,the distances among the extracted features vectors are measured and a similarity score is generated using a Siamese deep neural *** Siamese model built and trained at first from scratch but,it didn’t generated high evaluation ***,we re-built it from VGG19 pre-trained deep learning model to generate higher evaluation ***,three different distance metrics combined with the Sigmoid activation function are experimented looking for the most accurate method formeasuring the similarities among the retrieved *** that the highest evaluation parameters generated using the Cosine distance ***,the Graphics Processing Unit(GPU)utilized to run the code instead of running it on the Central Processing Unit(CPU).This step optimized the execution further since it expedited both the training and the retrieval time *** extensive experimentation,we reached satisfactory solution recording 0.98 and 0.99 F-score for the classification and for the retrieval,respectively.

Effects of magnetic field,porosity,and wall properties for anisotropically elastic multi-stenosis arteries on blood flow characteristics

A mathematical model for blood flow through an elastic artery with multistenosis under the effect of a magnetic field in a porous medium is presented. The considered arterial segment is simulated by an anisotropically elastic cylindrical tube filled with a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid representing blood. An artery with mild local narrowing in its lumen forming a stenosis is analyzed. The effects of arterial wall parameters represent viscoelastic stresses along the longitudinal and circumferential directions T t and T θ , respectively. The degree of anisotropy of the vessel wall γ, total mass of the vessel, and surrounding tissues m and contributions of the viscous and elastic constraints to the total tethering C and K respectively on resistance impedance, wall shear stress distribution, and radial and axial velocities are illustrated. Also, the effects of the stenosis shape m, the constant of permeability κ, the Hartmann number Ha and the maximum height of the stenosis size δ on the fluid flow characteristics are investigated. The results show that the flow is appreciably influenced by surrounding connective tissues of the arterial wall motion, and the degree of anisotropy of the vessel wall plays an important role in determining the material of the artery. Further, the wall shear stress distribution increases with increasing T t and γ while decreases with increasing T θ , m, C, and K. Transmission of the wall shear stress distribution and resistance impedance at the wall surface through a tethered tube are substantially lower than those through a free tube, while the shearing stress distribution at the stenosis throat has inverse characteristic through totally tethered and free tubes. The trapping bolus increases in size toward the line center of the tube as the permeability constant κ increases and decreases with the Hartmann number Ha increased. Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Agro-Ecosystems and Their Contribution to Environmental Change in the Indus Basin of Pakistan

There is growing concern that increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere have been responsible for global warming through their effect on radiation balance and temperature. The magnitude of emissions and the relative importance of different sources vary widely, regionally and locally. The Indus Basin of Pakistan is the food basket of the country and agricultural activities are vulnerable to the effects of global warming due to accelerated emissions of GHGs. many developments have taken place in the agricultural sector of Pakistan in recent decades in the background of the changing role of the government and the encouragement of the private sector for investment in new ventures. These interventions have considerable GHG emission potential. Unfortunately, no published information is currently available on GHG concentrations in the Indus Basin to assess their magnitude and emission trends. The present study is an attempt to estimate GHG （CO2, CH4 and N2O） emissions arising from different agro-ecosystems of Indus Basin. The GHGs were estimated mostly using the IPCC Guidelines and data from the published literature. The results showed that CH4 emissions were the highest （4.126 Tg yr^-1） followed by N20 （0.265 Tg yr^-1） and CO2 （52.6 Tg yr^-1）. The sources of CH4 are enteric fermentation, rice cultivation and cultivation of other crops. N2O is formed by microbial denitrification of NO3 produced from applied fertilizer-N on cropped soils or by mineralization of native organic matter on fallow soils. CO2 is formed by the burning of plant residue and by soil respiration due to the decomposition of soil organic matter.

In this paper,transient and steady natural convection heat transfer in an elliptical annulus has been *** annulus occupies the space between two horizontal concentric tubes of elliptic *** resulting velocity and thermal fields are predicted at different annulus orientations assuming isothermal *** full governing equations of mass,momentum and energy are solved numerically using the Fourier Spectral *** heat convection process between the two tubes depends on Rayleigh number,Prandtl number,angle of inclination of tube axes and the geometry and dimensions of both *** Prandtl number and inner tube axis ratio are fixed at 0.7 and 0.5,*** problem is solved for the two Rayleigh numbers of 104 and 105 considering a ratio between the two major axes up to 3 while the angle of orientation of the minor axes varies from 0 to 90◦.The results for local and average Nusselt numbers are obtained and discussed together with the details of both flow and thermal *** isothermal heating conditions,the study has shown an optimum value for major axes ratio that minimizes the rate of heat transfer between the two *** important aspect of this paper is to prove the successful use of the Fourier Spectral method in solving confined flow and heat convection problems.

One-loop approximation of mφller scattering in generalized Krein-space quantization

It has been shown that the negative-norm states necessarily appear in a covariant quantization of the free minimally coupled scalar field in de Sitter spacetime. In this processes ultraviolet and infrared di- vergences have been automatically eliminated. A natural renormalization of the one-loop interacting quantum field in minkowski spacetime (λφ 4) has been achieved through the consideration of the nega- tive-norm states defined in Krein space. It has been shown that the combination of quantum field theory in Krein space together with consideration of quantum metric fluctuation, results in quantum field the- ory without any divergences. Pursuing this approach, we express Wick’s theorem and calculate mφller scattering in the one-loop approximation in generalized Krein space. The mathematical consequence of this method is the disappearance of the ultraviolet divergence in the one-loop approximation.

The authors study homogenization of some nonlinear partial differential equations of the form -div (?(hx, h2x,Duh)) =f, where a is periodic in the first two arguments and monotone in the third. In particular the case where a satisfies degenerated structure conditions is studied. It is proved that uh converges weakly in W01,1 (?) to the unique solution of a limit problem as h ? '. moreover, explicit expressions for the limit problem are obtained.

Acid-treated carbon nanotubes and their effects on mortar strength

In the present study, multi-walled carbon nanotubes （mWCNTs） were treated in an acidic mixture solution, made with nitric and sulfuric acids in a ratio of 3：1 by volume. The durations of the treatment were 100 and 180 min. The defects of these treated mWCNTs were examined using Raman spectroscopy. The attachment of hydroxyl functional groups to the walls of the mWCNTs were verified using FTIR spectroscopy. The dispersion of CNTs with acid treatment is assessed using UV-Vis spectroscopy and Scanning Electron microscopy （SEm）. The results indicate that the duration of the acid treatment has significant effect on both the degree of defects and functionality of the mWCNT. The compressive strength of mortar increased with the addition of the acid-treated mWCNTs; however, no appreciable difference was noted for the two treatment durations under this study.

Prediction of strength and deformability of an interlocked blocky rock mass using UDEC

The accurate prediction of strength and deformability characteristics of rock mass is a challenging *** practice,properties of a rock mass are often estimated from available empirical relationships based on the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS).However,UCS does not always give a good indication of in situ rock mass strength and *** aim of this paper is to present a methodology to predict the strength and deformability of a jointed rock mass using UDEC(universal distinct element code).In the study,the rock mass is modelled as an assemblage of deformable blocks that can yield as an intact material and/or slide along predefined joints within the rock mass.A range of numerical simulations of uniaxial and triaxial tests was conducted on rock mass samples in order to predict the equivalent mechanical properties for the rock mass under different loading ***,results are compared with the deformability parameters obtained by analytical methods.
