INTRODUCTION Our needs as social and familial beings change over the course of our lives;however,it has become common practice to build as though these needs remain static through *** needs of a child,young adult,family,middle age and the elderly are dynamic between generations,and adding to these evolving life needs is the crisis of housing affordability.ree decades ago a house could cost 3-4 times an individual’s annual income,today that cost is closer to 10-12 *** response to these chal-lenges,this article explores the concept of Sustainable Micro-Villages,providing insight into a new approach to energy-efficient housing with reference to our case-study project-Carwoola *** Micro-Villages can be defined as a cluster of integrated dwellings,referred to here as Living *** a“single house”on a single site,these micro-villages can be comprised of two or more smaller buildings that provide private dwelling space for a single person,couples,couples with children,parents,elderly,friends and any combination of social *** pods cluster around a natural garden setting,enhanced by waterharvesting,and are connected with covered,open or enclosed links depending on the climate of the *** recent iterations of this type of dwelling also incorporate solar passive design,passive house and green-house *** Australia,new house designs are evaluated as part of an approvals process for their energy rating.1e Australian Building Code requires a minimum 6-star rating,ranging up to 10 stars for any new home to be built.A 6-star rating provides a good level of insulation and energy performance if built correctly,while 10 stars represent the highest level of energy performance and refers to a dwelling that needs no heating or *** Micro-Villages consistently achieve an 8 to 10-star rating by combining Solar Passive Design principles(good orientation,thermal mass and thermal performance)and Passive House Technology(

Background:To provide an understanding of important aspects of the participant recruitment and data collec-tion,become aware of any potential problems,and obtain necessary information in order to design a large-scale randomized controlled trial(RCT)for lung cancer and colorectal cancer(CRC)screening in ***:This feasibility study was a multicentered,open-label,pilot randomized trial.A total of 2696 participants who were at high risk of lung cancer were recruited from three screening centers and randomly allocated to arm 1(n=894),annual low-dose computed tomography(LDCT)plus a baseline colonoscopy;arm 2(n=902),biennial LDCT plus annual fecal immunochemical test(FIT)with OC-Sensor(OC-FIT);and arm 3(n=900),annual Insure-FIT plus Septin 9 blood *** on randomization,compliance,positivity rate,cancer case detection,and contamination with screening for lung cancer and CRC were ***:Participant characteristics were similar across study *** compliance rate of annual LDCT screening in arm 1 was 86.4%(95%CI:83.9%,88.5%)at baseline(T0),and 69.0%(95%CI:65.8%,72.0%)and 70.7%(95%CI:67.6%,73.7%)at the following two rounds(T1 and T2).The compliance rates of biennial LDCT screening in arm 2 were similar to those in arm 1 in the corresponding *** compliance rate was 55.5%(95%CI:52.2%,58.8%)for colonoscopy in arm 1,while the compliance rates of OC-FIT,Insure-FIT,and the Septin 9 test in arms 2 and 3 were all approximately 90%at T0,decreasing to 65%-80%at T1 and *** positivity rate,cancer case detection rate,and contamination rate of screening for lung cancer and CRC were also ***:In this pilot study,the feasibility of an RCT in China of lung cancer and CRC screening was demon-strated.

目的确定亚历山大技术课程、按摩疗法以及按照医生运动处方在护士指导下进行体育锻炼对慢性或复发性腰背痛治疗的效果。设计析因随机试验。地点英格兰的64个全科医疗机构。参试者579例慢性复发性腰背痛患者；144例随机接受常规治疗，147例接受按摩治疗，144例接受6节亚历山大技术课程，144例接受24节亚历山大技术课程；每组均有半数患者随机给予运动处方。干预常规治疗（对照）、6次按摩、6或24节亚历山大技术课程以及按照医生运动处方在护士指导下进行体育锻炼。主要结局指标RolandMorris残疾评分（疼痛受损活动数）和疼痛天数。结果体育锻炼和亚历山大技术课程，而非按摩，1年时依然有效（与对照组RolandMorris残疾评分8.1比较：按摩组为-0.58，95％可信区间-1.94－0.77；6节亚历山大技术课程-1.40，-2.77－-0.03；24节亚历山大技术课程-3.4，-4.76－-2.03；体育锻炼组-1.29，-2.25－-0.34）。6节课程之后体育锻炼的疗效为单独24节亚历山大技术课的72％（Roland Morris残疾评分分别为-2.98和-4.14）。课程后前4周腰背痛天数减少（与对照组中位数21天相比，24节课程-18天，6节课程-10天，按摩组-7天）；而且生活质量显著改善。没有明显的损害报告。结论由注册教师提供的一对一亚历山大技术课程可使慢性腰背痛患者长期受益。6节亚历山大技术课程后辅以体育锻炼处方的效果接近24节亚历山大技术课程。
