The role of adult neural stem cells(NScs)in demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system(cNS):Multipotent NScs hold great potential for cell replacement in diseases and upon injury of the *** from radial glial cells during nervous system development,adult NScs are localized in the subgranular zone of the hippocampus and the subventricular zone(SVZ)of the lateral brain ventricles,the main neurogenic zones of the adult *** precursor cells(type 1 cells)exhibiting properties of radial glial cells give rise to granule neurons through distinct intermediate precursor cells,and integrate into the hippocampal circuitry[reviewed by Kempermann et al.(2015)].Likewise,under physiological conditions,neuron generation by mouse SVZ-derived NScs(also known as type B cells)is the predominant cell fate,which thereby results in large numbers of transient amplifying precursor cells(also known as type c cells)which in turn differentiate into neuroblasts(type A cells).These cells migrate along the rostral migratory stream into the olfactory bulb where they undergo maturation into local *** structure of the rodent SVZ differs from that of the human SVZ since the proliferative capacity is reduced,and migration of neuroblasts is a rare event in adult humans[reviewed by Lim and Alvarez-Buylla(2016)].

Mantle peridotites entrained as xenoliths in the lavas of Ngao Bilta in the eastern branch of the continental cameroon Line were examined to constrain mantle processes and the origin and nature of melts that have modified the upper mantle beneath the cameroon *** xenoliths consist mainly of lherzolite with subordinate harzburgite and *** commonly contain olivine,orthopyroxene,clinopyroxene and spinel although the dunite is *** is an essential constituent in the *** chemistry differs between the three types of peridotite:olivines have usual mantle-like Mg#of around 90 in lherzolites,but follow a trend of decreasing Mg#(to 82)and NiO(to 0.06 wt.%)that is continuous in the *** also contain orthopyroxenes and/or clinopyroxenes with low-Mg#,indicating a reaction that removes Opx and introduces cpx,olivine,amphibole and *** is attributed to reaction with a silica-undersaturated silicate melt such as nephelinite or basanite,which originated as a low-degree melt from a depleted source as indicated by low Al2O3 and Na2O in cpx and high Na2O/K2O in *** estimates place the xenoliths at pressures of 11–15 kbar(35–50 km)and temperatures of 863–957c,along a dynamic rift geotherm and shallower than the region where carbonate melts may *** melt/rock reactions exhibited by the Ngao Bilta xenoliths are consistent with their peripheral position in the eastern branch of the cameroon Volcanic Line in an area of thinned crust and lithosphere beneath the Adamawa Uplift.

We present measurements of the in situ, microscopic architecture of a self- assembled bilayer at the interface between a regularly nanopatterned surface and an aqueous sub-phase using neutron reflectometry. The substrate is patterned with a rectangular array of nanoscale holes. Because of the high quality of the pattern, using neutron reflectometry, we are able to map the surface-normal density distribution of the patterned silicon, the penetration of water into the pattern, and the distribution of a deposited film inside and outside of the etched holes. In this stud; 1,2-dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine （DLPc） single bilayers were deposited on the hydrophilic patterned surface. For bilayers deposited either by vesicle fusion （VF） or by the Langmuir-Schaefer （L-S） technique, the most consistent model found to fit the data shows that the lipids form bilayer coatings on top of the substrate as well as the bottoms of the holes in an essentially conformal fashion. However, while there is a single bilayer on the unetched silicon surface, the lipids coating the bottoms of the holes form a complex bimodal structure consistent with a rough surface produced by the etching process. This study provides insight into film transfer both outside and inside regular nanopatterned features.

The instablity of the stimulation of photosynthate unloading from seed coats of Phaseolus vulgaris by abscisic acid (ABA ) and benzylamino purine ( BAP ) was studied in terms of experimental conditions. ABA stimulated photosynthate unloading at pH 6 and pH 8 without close dependence upon pH. ABA at a concentration range of 10-5-10-4 mol/L displayed stimulatory effect. However, BAP revealed no effect at a concentration range of 10-6-10-4 mol/L. Experiments designed with different transport time of 14c-photosynthate indicated that ABA might act at the plasma membrane of the unloading cells. Reducing endogenous ABA level by diminishing leaf area did not facilitate the manifestation of exogenous ABA function. Potassium ion stimulated photosynthate unloading from seed coats with highest promotion at 100 mmol/L K+. However, no dependence of ABA stimulation of photosynthate unloading on K+ was found.

Background： During processing in a desolventizer/toaster（DT）, rapeseed meal（RSM） is heated to evaporate the hexane and to reduce the level of heat-labile anti-nutritional factors such as glucosinolates（GSL）. However, excessive heat treatment may reduce amino acid（AA） content in addition to lower AA digestibility and availability in RSM. The objective of the present study was to produce from one batch of a 00-rapeseed variety（17 μmol GSL/g dry matter（DM）, seed grade quality） five differently processed RSM under standardized and defined conditions in a pilot plant,and to determine the impact of these different treatments on protein solubility and chemical composition, in particular with regard to contents of AA including reactive Lys（rL ys） and levels of total and individual ***： Four RSM were exposed to wet toasting conditions（WetT c） with increasing residence time in the DT of 48,64, 76, and 93 min. Adult mouse model of early hepatocellular carcinoma promoted by alcoholic liver disease

AIM: To establish a mouse model of alcohol-driven hepatocellular carcinoma (Hcc) that develops in livers with alcoholic liver disease (ALD).METHODS: Adult c57BL/6 male mice received multiple doses of chemical carcinogen diethyl nitrosamine (DEN) followed by 7 wk of 4% Lieber-Decarli diet. Serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alpha fetoprotein (AFP) and liver cyp2e1 were assessed. Expression of F4/80, cD68 for macrophages and Ly6G, MPO, E-selectin for neutrophils was measured. Macrophage polarization was determined by IL-1β/iNOS (M1) and Arg-1/IL-10/cD163/cD206 (M2) expression. Liver steatosis and fibrosis were measured by oil-red-O and Sirius red staining respectively. Hcc development was monitored by magnetic resonance imaging, confirmed by histology. cellular proliferation was assessed by proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PcNA).RESULTS: Alcohol-DEN mice showed higher ALTs than pair fed-DEN mice throughout the alcohol feeding without weight gain. Alcohol feeding resulted in increased ALT, liver steatosis and inflammation compared to pair-fed controls. Alcohol-DEN mice had reduced steatosis and increased fibrosis indicating advanced liver disease. Molecular characterization showed highest levels of both neutrophil and macrophage markers in alcohol-DEN livers. Importantly, M2 macrophages were predominantly higher in alcohol-DEN livers. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed increased numbers of intrahepatic cysts and liver histology confirmed the presence of early Hcc in alcohol-DEN mice compared to all other groups. This correlated with increased serum alpha-fetoprotein, a marker of Hcc, in alcohol-DEN mice. PcNA immunostaining revealed significantly increased hepatocyte proliferation in livers from alcohol-DEN compared to pair fed-DEN or alcohol-fed ***: We describe a new 12-wk Hcc model in adult mice that develops in livers with alcoholic hepatitis and defines ALD as co-factor in Hcc.
