Insights into reservoir-triggered landslides development and its influence factors in the Three Gorges Reservoir area， China

More than 5000 landslides or potential landslides have been triggered in the Three Gorges Reservoir （TGR） area since the impoundment in 2003. Aimed at investigating the reservoir-induced landslides spatiotemporal and size distribution and its influence factors in the TGR by taking 790 landslides as statistical samples. The landslides exhibit significant regional and sub-regional differences in spatially， and numerous landslides occurred at the initial three impoundment stages and the corresponding following 2–3 cycles of reservoir operations， but the landslide frequency decreased dramatically after 2010 in temporally. The relationship between landslide development and topographical， geological as well as hydrological factors were analyzed qualitatively. The reservoir-induced landslides in TGR area exhibit self-organized criticality and the rollover is nearly 2.5×104m2， which could not attribute to the data missing but the coupled influences imposed by affecting factors. Both the double Pareto and inverse gamma functions are more suitable than the power-law function to present the landslide size characteristics. In term of the fitting precious， the adaptability of the inverse gamma function is better if the landslide inventories are limited. The research results provide foundation for the landslide susceptibility maps and hazard risk assessment.

Diagnoses Background: Delirium is a common finding in elderly patients with sepsis. Early identification of the cause of delirium and treatment is important to avoid any worsening of mental or physical status. Sepsis secondary to colonic micro-perforation (CMP) in a patient with a history of diverticulosis should be high on the list of differential diagnosis. Case Report: We present a case of a patient who presented with hyperactive sepsis-associated delirium (SAD). Six days after the presentation, the patient started complaining of abdominal pain. An abdominal and pelvic computed tomography (CT) scan showed free air in the abdomen. The patient underwent surgical intervention and treatment with intravenous antibiotics. Pathological examination showed CMP connected to the patient’s history of diverticulosis. Delirium superimposed on dementia (DSD) resulted in the worsening of both the mental and physical status of our patient with the need for placement in a nursing home.

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)has continued to develop over recent decades with regard to both indications for its use and improvements in *** most common complication is post-ERCP pancreatitis(PEP)with incidence rates being reported at~10%.The exact mechanism of PEP is unknown but is likely multifactorial with papillary edema contributing to the activation of the inflammatory cascade playing an important *** risk factors include patient-related factors(female sex,younger age,sphincter of Oddi dysfunction,and history of PEP)and procedure-related factors(difficult cannulation,multiple pancreatic duct guidewire passes,pancreatic acinarization,multiple pancreatic duct contrast injections,and precut sphincterotomy).Several preventative prophylactic strategies have been posited;however,current guidelines recommend the use of rectal non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),aggressive intravenous(IV)fluid hydration,and pancreatic duct *** patient selection and the use of noninvasive imaging modalities for diagnosis of pancreaticobiliary abnormalities is a key aspect in *** studies continue to explore various pharmacologic,procedure-related,and combination strategies for prevention and will be important as the use of ERCP continues to grow.

蜜环菌属Armillaria真菌是长白山地区代表性野生菌,具有重要的食药用价值。本研究采用样方调查和随机踏查相结合的方法对该地区蜜环菌属物种展开资源调查和种类鉴定,结果表明,长白山地区蜜环菌有5种,即北方蜜环菌Armillaira borealis、法国蜜环菌***、黄小蜜环菌***、芥黄蜜环菌***以及Armillaira sp.,其中北方蜜环菌为吉林省新记录种,法国蜜环菌为该地区的优势物种。多样性分析结果表明,在阔叶林、针阔混交林、针叶林3种林型中,针阔混交林中蜜环菌属α多样性指数相对较高,说明针阔混交林的物种丰富度最高。本研究为蜜环菌属资源的开发和利用提供理论基础和实践依据。

BACKGROUND Over the years,strides in colon cancer detection and treatment have boosted survival rates;yet,post-colon cancer survival entails cardiovascular disease(CVD)*** on CVD risks and acute cardiovascular events in colorectal cancer survivors has been *** To compare the CVD risk and adverse cardiovascular outcomes in current colon cancer survivors compared to a decade *** We analyzed 2007 and 2017 hospitalization data from the National Inpatient Sample,studying two colon cancer survivor groups for CVD risk factors,mortality rates,and major adverse events like pulmonary embolism,arrhythmia,cardiac arrest,and stroke,adjusting for confounders via multivariable regression *** Of total colon cancer survivors hospitalized in 2007(n=177542)and 2017(n=178325),the 2017 cohort often consisted of younger(76 vs 77 years),male,African-American,and Hispanic patients admitted non-electively vs the 2007 ***,the 2017 cohort had higher rates of smoking,alcohol abuse,drug abuse,coagulopathy,liver disease,weight loss,and renal *** in the 2017 cohort also had higher rates of cardiovascular comorbidities,including hypertension,hyperlipidemia,diabetes,obesity,peripheral vascular disease,congestive heart failure,and at least one traditional CVD(P<0.001)vs the 2007 *** adjusted multivariable analysis,the 2017 cohort had a significantly higher risk of pulmonary embolism(PE)(OR:1.47,95%CI:1.37-1.48),arrhythmia(OR:1.41,95%CI:1.38-1.43),atrial fibrillation/flutter(OR:1.61,95%CI:1.58-1.64),cardiac arrest including ventricular tachyarrhythmia(OR:1.63,95%CI:1.46-1.82),and stroke(OR:1.28,95%CI:1.22-1.34)with comparable all-cause mortality and fewer routine discharges(48.4%vs 55.0%)(P<0.001)vs the 2007 *** Colon cancer survivors hospitalized 10 years apart in the United States showed an increased CVD risk with an increased risk of acute cardiovascular events(stroke 28%,PE 47%,arrhythmia 41%,and cardiac arres
