Ba.KGROUND Liver resection surgery ha. a.va.ced grea.ly in recent yea.s,a.d the a.option of fa.ttra.k progra.s ha. yielded good results.Combina.ion a.esthesia.(genera. a.esthesia.a.socia.ed to epidura. a.a.gesia. is a. a.esthetic-a.a.gesic stra.egy commonly used for the periopera.ive ma.a.ement of pa.ients undergoing surgery of this kind,though there is controversy rega.ding the coa.ula.ion a.tera.ions it ma. ca.se a.d which ca. fa.or the development of spina. hema.oma..a.M To study the postopera.ive course of liver resection surgery,a. a.a.ysis wa. ma.e of the outcomes of liver resection surgery due to colorecta. ca.cer meta.ta.es in our centre in terms of morbiditymorta.ity a.d hospita. sta. a.cording to the a.esthetic technique used (genera. vs combina.ion a.esthesia..METHODS a.prospective study wa. ma.e of 61 colorecta. ca.cer pa.ients undergoing surgery due to liver meta.ta.es under genera. a.d combina.ion a.esthesia.between Ja.ua.y 2014 a.d October 2015.The pa.ient cha.a.teristics,intra.pera.ive va.ia.les,postopera.ive complica.ions,evolution of hemosta.ic pa.a.eters,a.d sta. in intensive ca.e a.d in hospita. were a.a.yzed.RESULTS a.tota. of 61 pa.ients were included in two homogeneous groups: genera. a.esthesia.(n = 30) a.d combina.ion a.esthesia.(genera. a.esthesia.a.socia.ed to epidura. a.a.gesia.(n = 31).a.l pa.ients ha. norma. coa.ula.ion va.ues before surgery.The interna.iona. norma.ized ra.io (INR) in both the genera. a.d combina.ion a.esthesia.groups rea.hed ma.imum va.ues a. 2448 h (mea. 1.37 a.d 1.45 vs 1.39 a.d 1.41,respectively),followed by a.gra.ua. decrea.e.There wa. less intra.pera.ive bleeding in the combina.ion a.esthesia.group (769 mL) tha. in the genera. a.esthesia.group (1200 mL)(P a.ients,38.8% in the genera. a.esthesia.group experienced some respira.ory complica.ion vs 6.6% in the combina.ion a.esthesia.group (P a.trointestina. tolera.ce wa. significa.tly correla.ed to the type of a.esthesia.though not so the sta. in critica. ca.e or the time to

Ba.kground Pedia.ric ca.cer survivors a.e a. increa.ed risk of muscle wea.ness a.d low a.ea. bone minera. density(a.MD).However,the preva.ence of muscle strength deficits is not well documented,a.d the a.socia.ions of muscle strength with a.MD a.e unknown in this popula.ion.Therefore,this study a.med to investiga.e the preva.ence of upper-a.d lower-body muscle strength deficits a.d to exa.ine the a.socia.ions of upper-a.d lower-body muscle strength with a.e-,sex,a.d ra.e-specific a.MD Z-scores a. the tota. body,tota. hip,femora. neck,a.d lumba. spine.Methods This cross-sectiona. study included 116 pedia.ric ca.cer survivors(12.1±3.3 yea.s old,mea.±SD;42.2%fema.e).Upper-a.d lower-body muscle strength were a.sessed by ha.dgrip a.d sta.ding long jump test,respectively.Dua.‑energy X‑ra. a.sorptiometry wa. used to mea.ure a.MD(g/cm2).a.socia.ions between muscle strength a.d a.MD were eva.ua.ed in multiva.ia.le linea. regression models.Logistic regression wa. used to eva.ua.e the contribution of muscle strength(1-decile lower)to the odds of ha.ing low a.MD(Z-score≤1.0).a.l a.a.yses were a.justed for time from trea.ment completion,ra.iothera.y exposure,a.d body ma.s index.Results More tha. one-ha.f of survivors were within the 2 lowest deciles for upper-(56.9%)a.d lower-body muscle strength(60.0%)in compa.ison to a.e-a.d sex-specific reference va.ues.Muscle strength deficits were a.socia.ed with lower a.MD Z-scores a. a.l sites(B=0.133–0.258,p=0.001–0.032).Ea.h 1-decile lower in upper-body muscle strength wa. a.socia.ed with 30%–95%higher odds of ha.ing low a.MD Z-scores a. a.l sites.Ea.h 1-decile lower in lower-body muscle strength wa. a.socia.ed with 35%–70%higher odds of ha.ing low a.MD Z-scores a. tota. body,tota. hip,a.d femora. neck.Conclusion Muscle strength deficits a.e preva.ent in young pedia.ric ca.cer survivors,a.d such deficits a.e a.socia.ed with lower a.MD Z-scores a. a.l sites.These results suggest tha. interventions designed to improve muscle strength in this vulnera.le popula.ion ma. ha.e the a.ded ben

Ecosystem Dyna.ics Investiga.ion(GEDI)sa.ellite mission a.ms a. sca.ning forest ecosystems on a.multi-tempora. short-rota.ion ba.is.The GEDI da.a.ca. va.ida.e a.d upda.e sta.istics from na.ionwide a.rborne la.er sca.ning(a.S).We present a.ca.e in the Northwest of Spa.n using GEDI sta.istics a.d na.ionwide a.S surveys to estima.e forest dyna.ics in three fa.t-growing forest ecosystems comprising 211,346 ha.The objectives were:i)to a.a.yze the potentia. of GEDI to detect disturba.ces,ii)to investiga.e uncerta.nty source rega.ding non-positive height increments from the 2015–2017 a.S da.a.to the 2019 GEDI la.er shots a.d iii)to estima.e height growth using polygons from the Forest Ma. of Spa.n(FMS).a.set of 258 Na.iona. Forest Inventory plots were used to va.ida.e the observed height dyna.ics.Results:The spa.io-tempora. a.sessment from a.S surveying to GEDI sca.ning a.lowed the la.ge-sca.e detection of ha.vests.The mea. a.nua. height growths were 0.79(SD=0.63),0.60(SD=0.42)a.d 0.94(SD=0.75)m for Pinus pina.ter,Pinus ra.ia.a.a.d Euca.yptus spp.,respectively.The media. a.nua. va.ues from the a.S-GEDI positive increments were close to NFI-ba.ed growth va.ues computed for Pinus pina.ter a.d Pinus ra.ia.a.respectively.The effect of edge border,spa.ia. co-registra.ion of GEDI shots a.d the influence of forest cover in the observed dyna.ics were importa.t fa.tors to considering when processing a.S da.a.a.d GEDI shots.Discussion:The use of GEDI la.er da.a.provides va.ua.le insights for forest industry opera.ions especia.ly when a.counting for fa.t cha.ges.However,errors derived from positioning,ground finder a.d ca.opy structure ca. introduce uncerta.nty to understa.d the detected growth pa.terns a. documented in this study.The a.a.ysis of forest growth using a.S a.d GEDI would benefit from the genera.iza.ion of common rules a.d da.a.processing schemes a. the GEDI mission is increa.ingly being utilized in the forest remote sensing community.

On the other ha.d, despite initia. concerns a.out oncologica. sa.ety, well-designed prospective ra.domized multicentre tria.s ha.e demonstra.ed tha. oncologica. outcomes of la.a.oscopy a.d open surgery a.e simila.. a.though the use of la.a.oscopy in colorecta. surgery ha. increa.ed in recent yea.s, the percenta.es of pa.ients trea.ed with surgery using minima.ly inva.ive techniques a.e still reduced a.d there a.e a.so substa.tia. differences a.ong centres. It ha. been a.gued tha. the limiting fa.tor for the use of la.a.oscopic procedures is the number of surgeons with a.equa.e skills to perform a.la.a.oscopic colectomy ra.her tha. the tumour of pa.ients' cha.a.teristics. In this rega.d, future efforts to increa.e the use of la.a.oscopic techniques in colorecta. surgery will necessa.ily require more efforts in tea.hing surgeons. The subject of this study is the microcredit ma.ket in the USa.more specifica.ly in Florida.The justifica.ion for choosing this specific sta.e is the ma.sive presence of the Hispa.ic popula.ion.This will fa.ilita.e a.genera.iza.ion of the obta.ned results to the microcredit ma.ket in La.in a.erica. countries.Thus,the objective of this study is to a.a.yze the profile of microcredit holders a.d their compa.ies from socioeconomic a.d fina.cia. points of view.a. our da.a.a.so consider the degree of repa.ment of the microloa.s included in the sa.ple,the clients’profile is rela.ed to the punctua.ity or defa.lt of their corresponding loa. repa.ments using the methodology of multi-nomia. logit regression.The va.ia.les used in this study refer to persona. informa.ion concerning borrowers(gender,a.e,educa.ion level,a.d ma.ita. sta.us),the economic situa.ion of their respective compa.ies(closeness to the lender,number of workers,a.d revenues),a.d the cha.a.teristics of gra.ted loa.s(principa.,term,a.d purpose).However,the results of the regression show tha. only two va.ia.les a.e significa.t a. the 5%significa.ce level:the borrower’s a.e,which ha. a.positive effect on repa.-ment punctua.ity,a.d the loa. term,which exhibits a.nega.ive effect.The findings of this study ha.e clea. implica.ions,a. they ca. help lenders design suita.le microloa.s a.justed to customer profiles.Fina.ly,future resea.ch should include other demogra.h-ics a.d cha.a.teristics of a.fected compa.ies.
