The insensitivity.of semiconductors to visible and infrared light is a key.constraint on the utilization of light energy.in photocataly.ic *** photocataly.ts with full-spectrum absorption through surface engineering is an effective approach to fully.harnessing light energy.in semiconductor ***,a novel stable Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene/CdS heteroj.nction cataly.t is obtained by.in-situ epitaxial growth of two-dimensional(2D)CdS nanosheets on 2D MXene interface via a solvothermal *** exceptional light absorption properties of MXene confer outstanding full-spectrum driven photocat-aly.ic hy.rogen evolution capability.upon the heterogeneous *** unique 2D/2D structure effectively.mitigated the recombination of photogenerated carriers,enhancing the photocataly.ic performance of the ***,the composite cataly.t exhibits a significantly.higher surface temperature of 80.4℃under visible light irradiation at an intensity.of 0.1 W/cm^(2),which is 1.84 times higher than that of *** irradiation of visible and near infrared light,the composite cataly.t with photothermal ef-fect demonstrates a remarkable hy.rogen evolution rate of 65.4 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1),which is 7.2 times higher than that of CdS *** study.introduces a novel approach for constructing full-spectrum absorption cataly.ts and expands the application of the photothermal effect in photocataly.ic hy.rogen evolution research.

Plastic pollution, both primary.and secondary. is an environmental challenge, prompting regulatory.actions at global and regional levels. With increasing research about the impacts of micro- and nanoplastics on ecosy.tems and human health, governments worldwide have undertaken efforts to address this issue. The global community.has advanced regulatory.efforts that have led to the implementation of national laws or regulations in numerous countries. These measures ban or restrict the use of primary.and secondary.microplastics and nanoplastics. An overview of global and European regulatory.frameworks is presented to provide context for the United States (US). In the endeavor to document plastics regulation development in the US, a description of regulatory.agencies and their roles in advancing policy.and rules as well as future direction and areas for improvement in regulating plastics are introduced. A discussion of what emerging regulations mean to utilities and industries is also provided along with a comparison of regulatory.frameworks.

In this study.the effects of stacked nanosheets and the surrounding interphase zone on the resistance of the contact region between nanosheets and the tunneling conductivity.of samples are evaluated with developed equations superior to those previously.*** contact resistance and nanocomposite conductivity.are modeled by.several influencing factors,including stack properties,interphase depth,tunneling size,and contact *** developed model's accuracy.is verified through numerous experimental *** further validate the models and establish correlations between parameters,the effects of all the variables on contact resistance and nanocomposite conductivity.are ***,the contact resistance is primarily.dependent on the poly.er tunnel resistivity.contact area,and tunneling *** dimensions of the graphene nanosheets significantly.influence the conductivity.which ranges from 0 S/m to90 S/*** increased number of nanosheets in stacks and a larger gap between them enhance the nanocomposite's ***,the thicker interphase and smaller tunneling size can lead to higher sample conductivity.due to their optimistic effects on the percolation threshold and network efficacy.

Understanding pediatric surgical needs in North Korea: a modeling analy.is

Background Sixty.five percent of children worldwide lack access to surgical care,the maj.rity.of whom live in low-income and middle-income countries(LMiCs).Developing surgical infrastructure requires information on surgical need;however,this information is often limited in *** Korea(Democratic People's Republic of Korea,DPRK)has a low amount of publicly.available ***,we analy.ed available modeled data to understand the causes of pediatric deaths due to conditions treatable with surgery.in *** We used World Bank data and models from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation to identify.causes of pediatric deaths affecting pediatric patients(agey.ars).We compared mortality.of disease between DPRK and countries with similar economic *** Between 1990 and 2019,the number of overall pediatric deaths has *** 2019,32.2%of allpediatric deaths in DPRK were caused by.surgical *** leading categories of surgical conditions were inj.ries(53.9%),congenital conditions(34.2%),tumors(8.8%),and abdominal conditions(3.2%).DPRK has a lower relative rate of pediatric deaths compared with other LMICs with similar gross domestic product per ***,it has a higher relative rate of pediatric deaths due to conditions requiring treatment with *** inj.ries contribute significantly.to the high rate of pediatric deaths in *** Although DPRK may.be allocating overall resources toward pediatric healthcare more efficiently.than economic peers,DPRK may.benefit from improvement in pediatric surgical *** availability.of data and close international collaboration could be potential solutions to bridge this gap.

Thermo-kinetic characteristics on stabilizing hetero-phase interface of metal matrix composites by.cry.tal plasticity.finite element method

Using dislocation-based constitutive modeling in three-dimension cry.tal plasticity.finite element(3D CPFE)simulations,co-deformation and instability.of hetero-phase interface in different material sy.tems were herein studied for poly.ry.talline metal matrix composites(MMCs).Local stress and strain fields in two ty.es of 3lay.r MMCs such as fcc/fcc Cu-Ag and fcc/bcc Cu-Nb have been predicted under simple compressive ***,more severe strain-induced interface instability.can be observed in the fcc/bcc sy.tems than in the fcc/fcc sy.tems upon refining to metallic nanolay.red composites(MNCs).By.detailed analy.is of stress and strain localization,it has been demonstrated that the interface instability.is alway. accompanied by.high-stress concentration,i.e.,thermody.amic characteristics,or high strain prevention i.e.,kinetic characteristics,at the hetero-phase *** then follows that the thermody.amic driving forceG and the kinetic energy.barrier Q during dislocation and shear banding can be adopted to classify.the deformation modes,following the so-called thermo-kinetic *** by.inserting a high density.of high-energy.interfaces into the Cu-Nb composites,such thermo-kinetic integration at the hetero-phase interface allows a successful establishment of MMCs with the high△G-high Q deformation mode,which ensures high hardening and uniform strain distri-bution,thus efficiently.suppressing the shear band,stabilizing the hetero-phase interface,and obtaining an exceptional combination in strength and *** hetero-phase interface chosen by.a couple of thermody.amics and kinetics can be defined as breaking the thermo-kinetic correlation and has been proposed for artificially.designing MNCs.

Predicting Purchasing Behavior on E-Commerce Platforms: A Regression Model Approach for Understanding User Features that Lead to Purchasing

This research introduces a novel approach to improve and optimize the predictive capacity.of consumer purchase behaviors on e-commerce platforms. This study.presented an introduction to the fundamental concepts of the logistic regression algorithm. In addition, it analy.ed user data obtained from an e-commerce platform. The original data were preprocessed, and a consumer purchase prediction model was developed for the e-commerce platform using the logistic regression method. The comparison study.used the classic random forest approach, further enhanced by.including the K-fold cross-validation method. Evaluation of the accuracy.of the model’s classification was conducted using performance indicators that included the accuracy.rate, the precision rate, the recall rate, and the F1 score. A visual examination determined the significance of the findings. The findings suggest that employ.ng the logistic regression algorithm to forecast customer purchase behaviors on e-commerce platforms can improve the efficacy.of the approach and y.eld more accurate predictions. This study.serves as a valuable resource for improving the precision of forecasting customers’ purchase behaviors on e-commerce platforms. It has significant practical implications for optimizing the operational efficiency.of e-commerce platforms.

In Korea, most resources for biodiesel production were imported from abroad. To find out domestic resources, the feasibility.of biodiesel production from acid oil as a by.product of the refining of vegetable oils and from waste lard as a by.product of the leather making process with high content of free fatty.acids（FFAs） was investigated. A process consisting of the esterification of FFAs by.an acid cataly.t followed by.the transesterification of trigly.erides by.an alkali cataly.t was examined. After a simple distillation process of biodiesel, the oxidation stability.of acid oil biodiesel and waste lard biodiesel was 1.59 h and 1.83 h, respectively. The cold filter plugging point（CFPP） was-13. and 8., respectively. The oxidation stability.of biodiesel was easily.improved by.antioxidants. However, the CFPP was not improved by.additives. When waste lard biodiesel was blended with rapeseed oil biodiesel, the low temperature flow property.of waste lard biodiesel was improved.

Resistive field generation in intense proton beam interaction with solid targets

The Brown-Preston-Singleton(BPS)stopping power model is added to our previously.developed hy.rid code to model ion beam-plasma *** simulations show that both resistive field and ion scattering effects are important for proton beam transport in a solid target,in which they.compete with each *** the target is not completely.ionized,the self-generated resistive field effect dominates over the ion scattering ***,when the target is completely.ionized,this situation is ***,it is found that Ohmic heating is important for higher current densities and materials with high *** energy.fraction deposited as Ohmic heating can be as high as 20%-30%.Ty.ical ion divergences with half-angles of about 5°-10°will modify.the proton energy.deposition substantially.and should be taken into account.
