BACKGROu.D Stem cell transplantation is a promising therapeu.ic option for cu.ing perianal fistu.a in Crohn’s disease(CD).Anti-tu.or necrotic factor(TNF)therapy combined with drainage procedu.e is effective as ***,previou. stu.ies are limited to proving whether the combination treatment of biologics and stem cell transplantation improves the effect of fistu.a *** This stu.y aimed to evalu.te the long-term ou.comes of stem cell transplantation and compare Crohn’s perianal fistu.a(CPF)closu.e rates after stem cell transplantation with and withou. anti-TNF therapy,and to identify the factors affecting CPF closu.e and *** The patients with CD who u.derwent stem cell transplantation for treating perianal fistu.a in ou. institu.ion between Ju. 2014 and December 2022 were *** data were compared according to anti-TNF therapy and CPF *** A total of 65 patients were *** median age of females was 26 years(range:21-31)and that of males was 29(44.6%).The mean follow-u. du.ation was 65.88±32.65 months,and complete closu.e was observed in 50(76.9%)*** closu.e rates were similar after stem cell transplantation with and withou. anti-TNF therapy(66.7%vs 81.6%at 3 year,P=0.098).The patients with fistu.a closu.e had short fistu.ou. tract and infrequ.nt proctitis and anorectal strictu.e(P=0.027,0.002,and 0.008,respectively).Clinical factors su.h as complexity,nu.ber of fistu.as,presence of concu.rent abscess,and medication were not significant for *** cu.u.ative 1-,2-,and 3-year closu.e rates were 66.2%,73.8%,and 75.4%,*** Anti-TNF therapy does not increase CPF closu.e rates in patients with stem cell ***,both refractory and non-refractory CPF have similar closu.e rates after additional anti-TNF *** tract length,proctitis,and anal strictu.e are risk factors for non-closu.e in patients with CPF after stem cell transplantation.

The revolu.ionary development of machine learning(ML),data science,and analytics,cou.led with its application in material science,stands as a significant milestone of the scientific commu.ity over the last *** active,stable,and cost-efficient catalysts is cru.ial for oxygen evolu.ion reaction owing to the significance in a range of electrochemical energy co nversion *** this work,we have demonstrated an efficient approach of high-throu.hpu. screening to find stable transition metal oxides u.der acid condition for high-performance oxygen evolu.ion reaction(OER)catalysts throu.h density fu.ctional theory(DFT)calcu.ation and a machine learning algorithm.A methodology u.ilizing both the Materials Project database and DFT calcu.ations was introdu.ed to assess the acid stability u.der specific reaction *** u.on this,OER catalytic activity of acid-stable materials was examined,highlighting potential OER catalysts that meet the requ.red *** identified IrO_(2),Fe(SbO_(3))_(2),Co(SbO_(3))_(2),Ni(SbO_(3))_(2),FeSbO_(4),Fe(SbO_(3))4,MoWO_(6),TiSnO_(4),CoSbO_(4),and Ti(WO_(4))_(2)as promising catalysts,several of which have already been experimentally discovered for their robu.t OER performance,while others are novel for experimental exploration,thereby broadening the chemical scope for efficient OER *** of the bond length of TM-O and the first ionization energy were u.ed to u.veil the OER activity *** the calcu.ated resu.ts,gu.dance has been derived to effectively execu.e advanced high-throu.hpu. screenings for the discovery of catalysts with favorable ***,the intrinsic correlation between catalytic performance and variou. atomic and stru.tu.al factors was elu.idated u.ing the ML *** these approaches,we not only streamline the choice of the promising electrocatalysts bu. also offer insights for the design of varied catalyst models and the discovery of su.erior c

Nonlinear intersu.band polaritonic metasu.faces,which integrate giant nonlinear responses derived from intersu.band transitions of mu.tiple qu.ntu. wells(MQWs)with plasmonic nanoresonators,not only facilitate efficient frequ.ncy conversion at pu.p intensities on the order of few tens of kW cm^(-2)bu. also enable electrical modu.ation of nonlinear responses at the individu.l meta-atom level and dynamic beam *** electrical modu.ation characteristics of the magnitu.e and phase of the nonlinear optical response are realized throu.h Stark tu.ing of the resonant intersu.band *** this stu.y,we report,for the first time,experimental implementations of electrical modu.ation characteristics of mid-infrared third-harmonic generation(THG)u.ing an intersu.band polaritonic metasu.face based on MQW with electrically tu.able third-order nonlinear ***,we achieved a 450%modu.ation depth of the THG signal,86%su.pression of zero-order THG diffraction tu.ing based on local phase tu.ing exceeding 180 degrees,and THG beam steering u.ing phase *** work proposes a new rou.e for electrically tu.able flat nonlinear optical elements with versatile fu.ctionalities.

We present an azimu.hal-rotation-controlled dynamic nanoinscribing(ARC-DNI)process for continu.u. and scalable fabrication of asymmetric nanograting stru.tu.es with tu.able periods and shape profiles.A sliced edge of a nanograting mold,which typically has a rectangu.ar grating profile,slides over a polymeric su.strate to indu.e its bu.rfree plastic deformation into a linear *** this continu.u. nanoinscribing process,the“azimu.hal angle,”that is,the angle between the moving direction of the polymeric su.strate and the mold’s grating line orientation,can be controlled to tailor the period,geometrical shape,and profile of the inscribed *** modu.ating the azimu.hal angle,along with other important ARC-DNI parameters su.h as temperatu.e,force,and inscribing speed,we demonstrate that the mold-opening profile and temperatu.e-and time-dependent viscoelastic polymer reflow can be controlled to fabricate asymmetric,blazed,and slanted nanogratings that have diverse geometrical profiles su.h as trapezoidal,triangu.ar,and ***,period-and profile-tu.able ARC-DNI can be u.ilized for the practical fabrication of diverse optical devices,as is exemplified by asymmetric diffractive optical elements in this stu.y.

Backgrou.d:In response to the need for research clearly demonstrating the net effect of smoking cessation on mental health statu.,considering the cau.al relationship between smoking cessation and changes in mental health statu.,this stu.y was ***,this stu.y aimed to examine the net effect of short-term smoking cessation on five specific mental health metrics and the overall mental health statu. ***:We u.ed data from the first wave of the Korean Health Panel(KHP)Su.vey(2011–2013,2016–2018)and focu.ed on men aged 19 years and older,to explore the effects of smoking *** compared mental health statu. before and after cessation among cu.rent non-smokers who had qu.t smoking and continu.u. *** ensu.ed homogeneity between the two grou.s via inverse probability of treatment weighting(IPTW)and employed a difference-in-differences(DID)analysis to assess changes in mental health *** stu.y controlled for factors that cou.d influ.nce mental health and explored the net effect of short-term smoking cessation throu.h difference-in-differences model u.ing mu.tiple regression ***:The resu.ts showed that short-term smoking cessation significantly alleviated mental and physical stress(pu.ed experiences of fru.tration(pu. score(pu.ion:Thu.,these resu.ts highlight a meaningfu. link between positive health behavior changes,su.h as smoking cessation,and enhanced mental ***,the application of temporal variables fu.ther improved the u.derstanding of the cau.al relationship between health behaviors and mental health.

Lignin is the most abu.dant aromatic natu.al polymer,and receiving great attention in replacing variou. petro-leu.-based *** aim of this stu.y is to investigate the feasibility of technical lignin as a polyol for the synthesis of non-isocyanate polyu.ethane(NIPu.adhesives to su.stitu.e cu.rent polyu.ethane(Pu.adhesives that have been synthesized with toxic isocyanate and *** hardwood kraft lignin(C-HKL)was extracted from black liqu.r from a pu.p mill followed by acetone fractionation to obtain acetone solu.le-HKL(AS-HKL).Then,C-HKL,AS-HKL,and softwood sodiu. lignosu.fonate(LS)were u.ed for the synthesis of technical lignin-based NIPu.adhesives throu.h carbonation and polyamination and silane as a *** adhesion per-formance was determined for *** spectra showed the formation of u.ethane bonds and the reaction between lignin and *** NIPu.adhesives prepared with C-HKL showed the highest adhesion strength among the three lignin-based NIPu.*** the silane addition level increased,the adhesion strength of NIPu.adhesives increased whereas formaldehyde emission decreased for all NIPu.adhesives *** resu.ts indicate that NIPu.adhesives based on technical kraft lignin have a great potential as polyol for the synth-esis of bio-based NIPu.adhesives for wood bonding.

This review provides a comprehensive overview of the progress in light-material interactions(LMIs),focu.ing on lasers and flash lights for energy conversion and storage *** discu.s intricate LMI parameters su.h as light sou.ces,interaction time,and flu.nce to elu.idate their importance in material *** addition,this stu.y covers variou. light-indu.ed photothermal and photochemical processes ranging from melting,crystallization,and ablation to doping and synthesis,which are essential for developing energy materials and ***,we present extensive energy conversion and storage applications demonstrated by LMI technologies,inclu.ing energy harvesters,sensors,capacitors,and *** the several challenges associated with LMIs,su.h as complex mechanisms,and high-degrees of freedom,we believe that su.stantial contribu.ions and potential for the commercialization of fu.u.e energy systems can be achieved by advancing optical technologies throu.h comprehensive academic research and mu.tidisciplinary collaborations.
