Acetylacetone-TiO_(2) Promoted Large Area Compatible Cascade Electron Transport Bilayer for Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells

In designing efficient perovskite solar cells(PSCs),the selection of su.table electron transport layers(ETLs)is critical to the final device performance as they determine the driving force for selective charge ***_(2)nanoparticles(NPs)based ETLs have been a popu.ar choice for PSCs du. to su.erior electron mobility,bu. their relatively deep-lying condu.tion band energy levels(ECB)resu.t in su.stantial potential ***,TiO_(2)NPs establish favorable band alignment owing to shallower ECB,bu. their low intrinsic mobility and abu.dant su.face trap sites impede the final *** this reason,constru.ting a cascaded bilayer ETL is highly desirable for efficient PSCs,as it can rearrange energy levels and exploit on advantages of an individu.l *** this stu.y,we prepare SnO_(2)NPs and acetylacetone-modified TiO_(2)(Acac-TiO_(2))NPs and implement them as bilayer SnO_(2)/Acac-TiO_(2)(BST)ETL,to assemble cascaded energy band ***_(2)contribu.es to rapid charge carrier transport from high electron mobility while Acac-TiO_(2)minimizes band-offset and effectively su.presses interfacial ***,the optimized BST ETL generates synergistic influ.nce and delivers power conversion efficiency(PCE)as high as 23.14%with open-circu.t voltage(V_(oc))reaching 1.14 ***,the BST ETL is transferred to a large scale and the corresponding mini modu.e demonstrates peak performance of 18.39%PCE from 25 cm^(2)apertu.e ***,the BST-based mini modu.e exhibit excellent stability,maintaining 83.1%of its initial efficiency after 1000 h u.der simu.taneou. 1 Su. light-soaking and damp heat(85℃/RH 85%)environment.

In spite of the high potential economic feasibility of the tandem solar cells consisting of the halide perovskite and the kesterite Cu.ZnSn(S,Se)4(CZTSSe),they have rarely been demonstrated du. to the difficu.ty in implementing solu.ion-processed perovskite top cell on the rou.h su.face of the bottom ***,we firstly demonstrate an efficient monolithic two-terminal perovskite/CZTSSe tandem solar cell by significantly redu.ing the su.face rou.hness of the electrochemically deposited CZTSSe bottom *** su.face rou.hness(R_(rms))of the CZTSSe thin film cou.d be redu.ed from 424 to 86 nm by u.ing the potentiostatic mode rather than u.ing the conventional galvanostatic mode,which can be fu.ther redu.ed to 22 nm after the su.sequ.nt ion-milling *** perovskite top cell with a bandgap of 1.65 eV cou.d be prepared u.ing a solu.ion process on the flattened CZTSSe bottom cell,resu.ting in the efficient perovskite/CZTSSe tandem solar *** the cu.rent matching between two su.cells involving the thickness control of the perovskite layer,the best performing tandem device exhibited a high conversion efficiency of 17.5%withou. the hysteresis effect.

Constru.tion of a High‑Performance Composite Solid Electrolyte Throu.h In‑Situ.Polymerization within a Self‑Su.ported Porou. Garnet Framework

Composite solid electrolytes(CSEs)have emerged as promising candidates for safe and high-energy–density solid-state lithiu. metal batteries(SSLMBs).However,concu.rently achieving exceptional ionic condu.tivity and interface compatibility between the electrolyte and electrode presents a significant challenge in the development of high-performance CSEs for *** overcome these challenges,we present a method involving the in-situ.polymerization of a monomer within a self-su.ported porou. Li_(6.4)La_(3)Zr_(1.4)Ta_(0.6)O_(12)(LLZT)to produ.e the *** synergy of the continu.u. condu.tive LLZT network,well-organized polymer,and their interface can enhance the ionic condu.tivity of the CSE at room ***,the in-situ.polymerization process can also con-stru.t the integration and compatibility of the solid electrolyte–solid electrode *** synthesized CSE exhibited a high ionic condu.tivity of 1.117 mS cm^(-1),a significant lithiu. transference nu.ber of 0.627,and exhibited electrochemical stability u. to 5.06 V ***/Li+at 30℃.Moreover,the Li|CSE|LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2) cell delivered a discharge capacity of 105.1 mAh g^(-1) after 400 cycles at 0.5 C and 30℃,corresponding to a capacity retention of 61%.This methodology cou.d be extended to a variety of ceramic,polymer electrolytes,or battery systems,thereby offering a viable strategy to improve the electrochemical properties of CSEs for high-energy–density SSLMBs.

Exploring the genetic basis of pre-harvest sprou.ing in rice throu.h a genome-wide association stu.y-based haplotype analysis

Pre-harvest sprou.ing(PHS)poses a significant global challenge to cereal produ.tion,impacting both yield and *** this stu.y,we employed genome-wide association stu.ies(GWAS)on diverse rice accessions to identify novel PHS-associated *** assessment of 127 cu.tivated accessions for panicle germination(PHS)and detached grain germination(germination rate of detached grains at the 14th day(D14))revealed considerable phenotypic variation among rice *** analysis identified 91 significant signals at–log10(P-valu.)>5,inclu.ing 15SNPs for PHS and 76 SNPs for D14.A su.sequ.nt linkage disequ.libriu.(LD)block-based GWAS analysis detected 227 significant SNPs for both traits,consisting of 18 nonsynonymou. su.stitu.ions located on the coding regions of nine *** haplotype analysis identified 32 haplotypes,with 10 specific to cu.tivated accessions,19 specific to the wild type,and three shared between them.A phenotypic assessment of major haplotypes revealed significant differences between resistant(Hap1 and Hap2)and su.ceptible haplotypes(Hap5,Hap27,and Hap28),distingu.shed by a G/A SNP within a novel gene,*** identified haplotypes offer promising prospects for haplotypebased breeding aimed at enhancing PHS resistance in rice.

Chemical and mechanical properties of stainless, environment-friendly, and nonflammable Mg alloys (SEN alloys): A review

This review article provides overall u.derstanding of stainless,environment-friendly,and nonflammable Mg alloys(SEN alloys)recently developed at the Korea Institu.e of Materials *** alloys are produ.ed by adding small amou.ts of Ca and Y(eachu.ting in exceptional ignition and corrosion resistances and impressive mechanical *** main advantages of SEN alloys are as follows.(1)A dense mu.ti-oxide layer of SEN alloys comprising MgO,CaO,and Y_(2)O_(3) impedes the ou.ward dispersion of Mg vapor and the inward penetration of O_(2) du.ing oxidation,thereby enhancing the oxidation and ignition resistances.(2)The presence of Ca-and Y-based second-phase particles in SEN alloys can enhance their corrosion resistance becau.e Ca-containing particles prevent the spread of corrosion,and the replacement of Al-containing particles with less noble ones containing Y(e.g.,Al–Mn–Y or Al–Y particles)retards corrosion.(3)The addition of minor amou.ts of Ca and Y renders excellent mechanical properties du. to improved strengthening *** enhanced properties are attribu.ed to more pronou.ced dynamic recrystallization and grain refining behaviors cau.ed by the second-phase particles du.ing extru.ion.(4)Despite the presence of variou. types of second-phase particles,the fatigu. properties of SEN9 alloys are similar to those of commercial AZ91 alloys.(5)Simu.taneou. introdu.tion of Ca and Y su.presses the formation of Mg17Al12 discontinu.u. precipitates du.ing aging,leading to the enhanced elongation of aged SEN alloys.(6)Adding mischmetal into the SEN9 alloy leads to a six-fold enhancement in ***,the stu.ies condu.ted on SEN alloys demonstrate their excellent ignition and corrosion resistances and mechanical properties,which broaden the indu.trial applications of Mg alloys by addressing their inherent weaknesses.
