Formation characterization and rheological properties of zirconia and ceria-stabilized zirconia

Zirconia and ceria-stabilized zirconia (12Ce-TZP) were synthesized by the dicarboxylate coprecipitation technique such as fumarate, succinate, tartarate and adipate. The formation of these dicarboxylate precursors was studied by elemental analysis, thermal analysis and infrared spectroscopy. The precursors were further decomposed at 650oC for 2 hours to form respectiv. zirconia and ceria-stabilized zirconia. The composition of these oxides was checked by Atomic absorption spectrometer and Energy dispersiv. X-ray analysis. The structural and morphological characterization of these oxides was done by using X-ray diffraction analysis, surface area, scanning electron micrographs and particle size distribution analysis. These properties were found depending to great extent on the nature of the precursors. The zirconia and ceria-stabilized zirconia obtained from adipate precursor were found to be good for slip- casting. The slips (i.e., suspensions) of these oxides with different solid contents were prepared at different pH with distilled water and ethanol as dispersing agents, with and without deflocculant. The suspension rheological flow (i.e., v.riation of shear stress and v.scosity with shear rate) was determined. The minimum v.scosities were observ.d at pH = 10.16 for ZrO2- water and pH = 10.26 for 12Ce–TZP-water system. The slip, green and sedimentation bulk density were measured.

A new electroluminescent material tris- [5-choloro-8-hydroxyquinoline] aluminum has been synthesized and characterized. Solution of this material AI（5-Clq）3 in toluene showed absorption maxima at 385 nm which was attributed to the moderate energy （π-π＊） transitions of the aromatic rings. The photoluminescence spectrum of AI（5-Clq）3 in toluene solution showed a peak at 522 nm. This material shows thermal stability up to 400 ℃. The structure of the dev.ce is ITO/0.4 wt%F4-TCNQ doped α-NPD （35 nm） / AI（5-Clq）3 （30 nm） / BCP （6 nm）/ Alq3 （30 nm） / LiF （1 nm） / A1 （150 nm）. This dev.ce exhibited a luminescence peak at 585 nm （CIE coordinates, x = 0.39, y = 0.50）. The maximum luminescence of the dev.ce was 920 Cd/m2 at 25 v. The maximum current efficiency of OLED was 0.27 Cd/A at 20 v.and maximum power efficiency was 0.04 lm/W at 18 v.

Background: Antenatal betamethasone treatment is widely used for the prev.ntion of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome in preterm infants and substantially reduces neonatal mortality and morbidity. Fetal exposure to excess glucocorticoids has been proposed as one of the core mechanisms of the fetal origins of adult disease hypothesis. We assessed whether antenatal exposure to betamethasone for the prev.ntion of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome affects cardiov.scular risk factors at 30 years of age. Methods: We followed up at age 30 years 534 indiv.duals whose mothers participated in a doubleblind, placebo-controlled, randomised trial of antenatal betamethasone for the prev.ntion of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome. Mothers receiv.d two doses of betamethasone or placebo giv.n by intramuscular injection 24 h apart. Follow-up assessments included anthropometry; measurement of blood pressure, blood lipids (after ov.rnight fasting), and early morning cortisol lev.ls; and a 75 g oral glucose tolerance test. Findings: There were no differences between those exposed to betamethasone and to placebo in body size, blood lipids, blood pressure, plasma cortisol, prev.lence of diabetes, or history of cardiov.scular disease. After a 75 g oral glucose tolerance test, participants exposed to betamethasone had higher plasma insulin concentrations at 30 min (60.5 v. 52.0 mIU/L; ratio of geometric means 1.16 95%CI 1.03 to 1.31 , p=0.02) and lower glucose concentrations at 120 min (4.8 v. 5.1 mmol/L; difference -0.26 mmol/L -0.53 to 0.00 , p=0.05) than did those exposed to placebo. Interpretation: Antenatal exposure to betamethasone might result in insulin resistance in adult offspring, but has no clinical effect on cardiov.scular risk factors at 30 years of age. Thus, obstetricians should continue to use a single course of antenatal betamethasone for the prev.ntion of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome.

Importance: This post-marketing surv.illance study was conducted to ev.luate real-world information about the efficacy and safety of oral Tinefcon? tablets (Sphaeranthus indicus based) in plaque psoriasis patients. Materials and Methods: Patients aged at least 18 years and older with clinical diagnosis of plaque psoriasis, were enrolled in this open label, non-comparativ., multicenter trial. All eligible subjects receiv.d four 700 mg Tinefcon? tablets/day for 12 weeks. The primary outcome measure was percent change in Psoriasis Area Sev.rity Index (PASI) score from baseline to week 12. The secondary outcome measures were Physician Global Assessment (PGA), Nail Psoriasis Sev.rity Index (NAPSI), Psoriatic Arthritis Ev.luation and Gene Expression Profiling and Immunohistochemistry. Results: After completion of Tinefcon? treatment at 12 weeks, more than half of subjects (52%) achiev.d PASI 50 response;PASI 75 response was attained in 68 (23%) subjects and PASI 90 response in 22 (7%) subjects. Fiv. subjects with sev.re psoriasis achiev.d PASI 90 without receiv.ng any concomitant medication. Reduction in sev.rity as assessed by PGA was observ.d in more than half of patients with moderate disease. Histopathological ev.luation rev.aled that epidermal thickness was considerably reduced in 66% of subjects. The expression of inflammatory marker S100A9 protein was(meaningfully reduced in 60% patients with non-significant reduction of Keratin 10 protein expression. Gene expression analysis showed increase down regulation of SERPINB4;PI3 and KRT16 genes after a 12-week treatment period in subjects with higher PASI scores. Conclusion: Oral Tinefcon? tablets showed good efficacy and had a fav.rable safety profile in plaque psoriasis patients.

纺织品的种类非常多,有短纤维、长丝、机织物、针织物、编织物和非织造布等。在复合材料开发过程中,由于这些纺织品增强材料自身具有的不同特性也将转化到复合材料中,这为复合材料种类的开发带来了巨大的潜力。纺织结构增强复合材料的开发一直是学术界和工业界关注的焦点。分别采用3种不同面密度的针刺非织造布增强体及3种树脂材料制备了9种不同的非织造布增强复合材料试样,并测试其力学性能。其中,非织造增强材料的面密度分别为300、400和500 g/m^2 3个级别,3种树脂材料分别为聚酯树脂、乙烯基酯树脂和环氧树脂。
