Surat city is continuously expanding with industrial development. Despite several flyovers, traffic congestion continues in the heart of city. Therefore, fresh transportation planning is at anvil. Simultaneously, further expansion plan is under consideration to create yet another, the 10th industrial zone. Purpose of this paper is to explore lean management based sustainable transport system for meeting the increasing needs of people and supply-chain. The research examines different mode of transportation like; vehicles on road, rail on the land, and steamers through the sea route to provide connectivity. This study may support the planners of the smart city. The study intends to find how lean management can be integrated to sustainable transport system meeting objectives of lean and sustainability both. Lean management system claims to be capable of eliminating all type of wastes including those associated with transport system. On the other hand, sustainable transport claims to meet the needs of people in personal economic lives, importantly respecting the need of future generations. Therefore, this applied research aims to find a lean and sustainable transport solution. This research work can be seen as descriptive type as it includes survey of location and fact finding enquiries.

Aim:Penoscrotal defects may be caused by a variety of *** of the penoscrotal region is required not only for aesthetic appearance but also for functional and psychological *** techniques have been described for penoscrotal reconstruction reflecting the challenge and complexity of the region *** suggests that no single method is satisfactory for all types and degrees of tissue *** prospective study was conducted in a tertiary care hospital in India,over a period of 5 ***:Eighteen patients with penoscrotal defects of varying etiology were included in the study and underwent different surgical *** of the patients ranged from 20 to 60 *** etiology of penoscrotal defect was Fournier’s gangrene in 12 cases,trauma in 4 cases,and burn in 2 *** patients with Fournier’s gangrene were initially treated by debridement,drainage,and *** penoscrotal defects were treated with local flap advancement with skin grafting(n=7),pedicled anterolateral thigh flap(n=4),gracilis muscle flap with split skin grafting(n=4),and medial thigh flap(n=3).Results:There was complete healing in 16 patients with minor complications in the form of partial skin graft loss(n=1)and wound dehiscence(n=1).Results were highly satisfactory in 6 patients,satisfactory in 8 patients,and not satisfactory in 4 *** at the donor site was limited and ***:The vast arsenal of options for penoscrotal defect coverage ranges from skin grafting to flaps,and every case needs a customized approach with regard to its feasibility,outcome,and complication *** should be the preferred choice over the skin grafts because of the superior functional and aesthetic results and better compliance.

The key ongoing challenge is to design and develop effective and inexpensive ox-ygenreductionreaction(ORR)catalysts toreplacePt-basedonesforcommercial use in fuel *** to its abundance and tunable electronic properties,in the cur-rent work,the synthesis of highly dispersed mixed valent copper oxide electro-catalyst is *** EC exhibits a high mass activity of 9.8 mA mg^(-1) and a high current density of 5.3 mA cm^(-2) in contrast to the benchmark(20 wt%)Pt/C catalyst in a 0.1-M KOH solution for *** significantly high electrochemical activity at the cathode is believed to be due to the presence of the Cu(II)/Cu(I)redox ***,the catalyst has been shown to be highly stable,maintaining a high current retention of 78%for up to 24 ***,the engineered material is also active for the oxygen evolution reaction,making it a viable replacement for con-ventional Pt/C in alkaline fuel cells.

Aseismic Layer Detected in the Mid-Crust of Nubra-Siachen Region, India Using Local Seismic Data

The local seismicity observed by seismic network in siachen-nubra region during January 2010-December 2012 shows that the middle part of the crust (17 - 40 km) is aseismic. This aseismic layer (17 - 40 km) is sandwiched between two seismically active layers and depicts a good spatial correlation with the observations of low resistivity reported from magnetotelluric studies for the same region. The local seismicity shows a trend along the Karakoram fault and clustering of events in Shyok Suture zone and Karakoram shear zone. The moment magnitude of these events lies between 1.3 and 4.3. Most of these events have been originated in upper crust.

In this paper, a user friendly algorithm based on the variational iteration method (VIM) is proposed to solve singular integral equations with generalized Abel’s kernel. It is observed that an approximate solutions yn(x) converges to the exact solution irrespective of the initial choice y0 (x). Illustrative numerical examples are given to demonstrate the efficiency and simplicity of the method in solving these types of singular integral equations.

The stacking of phenanthroline(phen) ligand within base pair sequences is one of the important factors for the stabilization of metalphen complex within DNA. The stacking ability of this ligand has been assessed to deduce the base pair selectivity as well as to identify the favored region of intercalation. Different level of theories have been used to predict the favorable regions for stacking interaction of phen ligand with base pair, but the results of MP2/6-31+G(d,p) is found to be reasonably good for monitoring such interactions.

C-reactive protein(CRP) is one of the earliest proteins that appear in the blood circulation in most systemic inflammatory conditions and this is the reason for its significance,even after identification of many organ specific inflammatory markers which appear relatively late during the course of *** methods of CRP detection were based on the classical methods of antigen-antibody interaction through precipitation and agglutination *** on,CRP based enzymatic assays came into the picture which were further modified by integration of an antigen-antibody detection system with surface plasma *** came the time for the development of electrochemical biosensors where nanomaterials were used to make a highly sensitive and portable detection system based on silicon nanowire,metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor/bipolar junction transistor,ZnS nanoparticle,aptamer,field emission transmitter,vertical flow immunoassay *** editorial attempts to summarize developments in the field of CRP detection,with a special emphasis on biosensor *** would help in translating the latest development in CRP detection in the clinical diagnosis of inflammatory conditions at an early onset of the diseases.

Traumatic posterior hip dislocation in a 16-month-old child： a case report and review of literature

Traumatic posterior hip dislocation is an uncommon injury in children, constituting less than 5% of paediatric dislocations. In a younger child （〈5 years）, minor trauma such as a slip or fall from a low height may cause a hip dislocation, whereas in an adolescent a dislocation is usually caused by a major trauma such as motor vehicle accident. In this case report we present a rare case of trau- matic hip dislocation in a 16-month-old girl. Early detectionand closed reduction ensured good outcome in our case. A high index of suspicion is necessary to achieve satisfactory reduction within six hours of dislocation because reduction after this period will greatly increase the risk of complications.

The stomach is the sixth most common cause of cancer worldwide. Surgery is an important component of the multi-modality treatment of the gastric cancer. The extent of lymphadenectomy has been a controversial issue in the surgical management of gastric cancer. The East-Asian surgeons believe that quality-controlled extended lymphadenectomy resulting in better locoregional control leads to survival benefit in the gastric cancer; contrary to that, many western surgeons believe that extended lymphadenectomy adds to only postoperative morbidity and mortality without significantly enhancing the overall survival. We present a comprehensive review of the lymphadenectomy in the gastric cancer based on the previously published randomized controlled trials.
