Comparative investigation on energy distribution between two photosystems were carried out in the sporo-phytes and gametophytes of Porphyra yezoensis. By performing 77 K fluorescence spectra, we suggested that there probably existed a pathway for energy transfer from PS II to PS I to redistribute the absorbed energy in gametophytes, while no such a way or at minor level in sporophytes. Electron transfer inhibitor DCMU blocked the energy transfer from PS II to PS I in gametophytes, but no obvious effects on sporophytes. These indicated that excitation energy distribution between two photosystems in gametophytes was more cooperative than that in sporophytes. These data in ontogenesis reflected the evolution process of photosynthetic organisms and supported the hypothesis of independent evolution of each photosystem.

The present study was aimed to analyze the frequencies of human leukocyte antigen （HLA）-A, -B, and -DRB1 alleles and A-B-DRBI, A-B, A-DRB1 and B-DRB1 haplotypes in inhabitants of Guizhou province, China. All samples were typed in the HLA-A,-B, and -DRB1 loci using the polymerase chain reaction-reverse sequence spe- cific oligonucleotide probe （PCR-rSSOP） method and HLA polymorphisms were analyzed. A total of 18 HLA-A, 31 HLA-B, and 13 HLA-DRB1 alleles were found in the Guizhou population. The first two frequent alleles in the HLA-A, -B, and -DRB1 loci were A＊1 1（30.72%） and A＊02（30.65%）, B＊40（16.27%） and B＊46（16.27%）, and DRBl＊09（15.91%） and DRBl＊15（13.51%）, respectively. The most common haplotype was A＊02-B＊46- DRBl＊09（5.59%） in A-B-DRB1, A＊02-B＊46（I 1.73%） in A-B, B＊46-DRBl＊09（7.49%） in B-DRB1, and A＊02- DRBl＊09（8.08%） in A-DRB1. Some baplotypes with strong linkage disequilibrium （LD） were found not only in the common haplotypes, such as A＊33-B＊58, B＊30-DRB1＊07, and B＊33-DRB1＊03, but also in the rare haplotypes, such as A＊01-B＊37, B＊37-DRB1＊10, and A＊01-DRB1＊10. Guizhou inhabitants shared some characteristics of the Southern Chinese population but also had their own unique features. Overall, HLA polymorphism in Guizhou population was more consistent with that of Chengdu population than that of other populations in China.

Fatty Acid Synthase and Hormone-sensitive Lipase Expression in Liver Are Involved in Zinc-α2-glycoprotein-induced Body Fat Loss in Obese Mice

Objective To explore the effects of zinc-0t2-glycoprotein （ZAG） on body weight and body fat in high-fat-diet （HF1））-induced obesity in mice and the possible mechanism. Methods Thirty-six male mice were fed with standard food （SF）（n=9） and HFD （n=27）, respectively. Five weeks later, 9 mice fed with HFD were subjected to ZAG expression plasmid DNA transfection by liposome transfection method, and another 9 mice to negative control plasmid transfection. Two weeks later, serum ZAG level in the mice was assayed by Western blot, and the effects of ZAG over-expression on body weight, body fat, serum biochemical indexes, and adipose tissue of obese mice were evaluated. The mRNA expressions of fatty acid synthase （FAS） and hormone sensitive lipase （HSL） in liver tissue were deterlnined by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. Results Serum ZAG level significantly lowered in simple HFD-fed mice in comparison to SF-fed mice （0.51±0.10 AU vs. 0.75±0.07 AU, P〈0.01）. Further statistical analysis demonstrated that ZAG level was negatively correlated with body weight （r =-0.56, P〈0.001）, epididymal fat mass （r=-0.67, P〈O. 001）, percentage of epididymal fat （r= 0.65, P〈0.001）, and increased weight （r= 0.57, P〈0.001） in simple SF- and HFD fed mice. ZAG over-expression in obese mice reduced body weight and the percentage of epididyreal fat. Furthermore, FAS mRNA expression decreased （P〈0.01） and HSL mRNA expression increased （P〈0.001） in the liver in ZAG over-expressing mice. Conclusions ZAG is closely related to obesity. Serum ZAG level is inversely correlated with body weight and percentage of body fat. The action of ZAG is associated with reduced FAS expression and increased HSL expression in the liver of obese mice.

Ultrafiltration and a series of chromatographic steps were used to isolate and purify polysaccharides from Tremella aurantialba fruit *** crude fractions(TAP50w,TAP10-50w,and TAP1-10w),five semi-purified fractions(TAPA-TAPE),and one purified fraction(TAPA1) were obtained.A sulfated derivative of TAPA1(TAPA1-s) was prepared by chemical *** immunostimulating activity of the polysaccharide fractions in vitro was determined using the mouse spleen lymphocyte proliferation *** the three crude fractions tested,cell prolifera-tion rates were increased most by ***,TAPA1-s was markedly more stimulatory than TAPA1,indicating that sulfonation was an effective way to enhance the immunostimulating activity of polysaccharide.

In the present study, three compounds were isolated from Argyreia acuta, among them, compounds 1 and 2 were new and Compounds 1 and 3 were isomers. They were separated by several types of columns, such as normal phase, RP, size exclusion and preparative HPLC, and their structures were elucidated by several spectroscopic methods, such as 1D-and 2D-NMR and HR-TOF-MS.

Mineral hydrogels have caught a lot of attention for their strong competency as artificial skin-like ***,it remains a great difficulty in fulfilling in one hydrogel system a range of key functionalities that are needed for practical artificial skin applications,i.e.,to be biocompatible,strain-sensitive,ion-conductive,elastic and robust,anti-swelling,and *** we present a such type of versatile hydrogel that is not only capable to deliver all the above-mentioned key functionalities but also highly *** novel hydrogel is constructed by introducing a gelatinous and amorphous multi-ionic biomineral(denoted as Mg-ACCP,containing Mg^(2+),Ca^(2+),CO_(3)^(2−),and PO_(4)^(3−))into the network of biocompatible polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)and sodium alginate(SA).The presence of Mg^(2+)and PO_(4)^(3−)in this hydrogel helps prohibit the crystallization of the biominerals,leading to significantly improved *** hydrogel thus obtained delivers excellent mechanical performance due to the chelation between the mineral ions and the organic matrix,and high sensitivity even to subtle pressure and strain applied,such as slight finger bending and gentle ***,the novel hydrogel features high ionic conductivity,high resistance to swelling,and extraordinary anti-freezing property,holding great promise for applications in different practical scenarios,particularly in aqueous or cold environments.

With the deepening of climate change research, more attention has been paid to vulnerability to climate change. Compared with water resources, forests and other natural ecosystems, agriculture is more vulnerable to climate change, thereby scientifically assessing agricultural vulnerability to climate change is of great significance to the formulation of rational and effective adaptation strategies. In this paper, the authors give a comprehensive review of the research from the perspective of the definition of climate change vulnerability and agricultural vulnerability to climate change, research topics, and evaluation methodologies. Existing problems in current research, including scenario application, methods, and uncertainties, are analyzed, and meanwhile, a vision of the direction for future research in assessment of agricultural vulnerability is also presented.

Particle swarm optimizer （PSO）, a new evolutionary computation algorithm, exhibits good performance for optimization problems, although PSO can not guarantee convergence of a global minimum, even a local minimum. However, there are some adjustable parameters and restrictive conditions which can affect performance of the algorithm. In this paper, the algorithm are analyzed as a time-varying dynamic system, and the sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of acceleration factors, increment of acceleration factors and inertia weight are deduced. The value of the inertia weight is enhanced to （-1, 1）. Based on the deduced principle of acceleration factors, a new adaptive PSO algorithm- harmonious PSO （HPSO） is proposed. Furthermore it is proved that HPSO is a global search algorithm. In the experiments, HPSO are used to the model identification of a linear motor driving servo system. An Akaike information criteria based fitness function is designed and the algorithms can not only estimate the parameters, but also determine the order of the model simultaneously. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of HPSO.

BACKGROUND In esophageal squamous carcinoma,lymphadenectomy along the left recurrent laryngeal nerve(RLN)is recommended owing to its highly metastatic ***,this procedure is difficult due to limited working space in the left upper mediastinum,and increases postoperative *** To present a novel method for lymphadenectomy along the left RLN during thoracoscopic esophagectomy in the semi-prone *** The fundamental concept of this novel method is to exfoliate a bilateral pedicled nerve flap,which is a two-dimensional membrane,which includes the left RLN,lymph nodes(LNs)along the left RLN,and tracheoesophageal vessels,by suspending the esophagus to the dorsal side and pushing the trachea to the ventral side(named“bilateral exposure method”).Then,the hollow-out method is performed to transform the two-dimensional membrane to a three-dimensional structure,in which the left RLN and tracheoesophageal vessels are easily distinguished and preserved during lymphadenectomy along the left *** novel method was retrospectively evaluated in 116 consecutive patients with esophageal squamous carcinoma from August 2016 to February *** There were 58 patients in each *** significant difference was found between the two groups in terms of age,gender,postoperative pneumonia,anastomotic fistula,and postoperative ***,the number of dissected LNs along the left RLN in this novel method was significantly higher than that in the conventional method(4.17±0.359 vs 2.93±0.463,P=0.0447).Moreover,the operative time and the rate of postoperative hoarseness in the novel method were significantly lower than those in the conventional method(306.0±6.774 vs 335.2±7.750,P=0.0054;4/58 vs 12/58,P=0.0312).CONCLUSION This novel method for lymphadenectomy along the left RLN during thoracoscopic esophagectomy in the semi-prone position is much safer and more effective.
