Diabetic vitrectomy is a highly intricate surgical procedure performed during the advanced stages of diabetic retinopathy(DR).It is used to treat conditions such as tractional or combined retinal detachment,vitreous hemorrhage,and subhyaloid hemorrhage,which are all severe manifestations of proliferative *** results of the surgery are uncertain and *** surgery has made significant progress since the early stages of *** the past ten years,advancements in intravitreal pharmacotherapy have emerged,offering new possibilities to improve the surgical results for our *** the realm of medical terminology,an"adjunct"refers to a pharmaceutical or substance employed to aid or expedite the primary therapeutic intervention for a particular *** introduction has broadened the range of therapeutic choices that are accessible prior to,during,and following surgical *** review article will specifically analyze the pharmacological adjuncts used in diabetic vitrectomy surgery,with a focus on their role in facilitating or aiding specific steps of the *** implementation of this system of categorization offers benefits to the surgeon by allowing them to foresee potential difficulties that may occur during the surgical procedure and to choose the appropriate pharmacological agent to effectively tackle these challenges,thus enhancing surgical success rates.

Experimental and CFD Heat Transfer Studies of Al2Oa-Water Nanofluid in a Coiled Agitated Vessel Equipped with Propeller

This paper presents the heat transfer characteristics of A1203-water nanofluid in a coiled agitated vessel with propeller agitator. The experimental study was conducted using 0.10%, 0.20% and 0.30% volume concentra tion of A1203-water nanofluids. The results showed considerable enhancement of convective heat transfer using the nanofluids. The empirical correlations developed for Nusselt number in terms of Reynolds number, Prandtl number, viscosity ratio and volume concentration fit with the experimental data within ±10%. The heat transfer characteris tics were also simulated using computational fluid dynamics using FLUENT software with the standard ke model and multiple reference frame were adopted. The computational fluid dynamics （CFD） predicted Nusselt number agrees well with the experimental value and the discrepancy is found to be less than ＋8%.

This work aims to study the springback behaviour of electrogalvanised (EG) steel sheets during the air bending *** have been conducted to analyse the influence of various parameters such as coating thickness,orientation of the sheet,punch radius,die radius,die opening,punch velocity,and punch travel on springback *** is established that the springback increases with increasing coating thickness,punch radius,punch travel,die radius,die opening,and punch *** 90° orientation exhibits higher springback than 0° orientation.

Effects of magnetohydrodynamic flow past a vertical plate with variable surface temperature

An analysis is performed to study the magnetohydrodynamic flow of an electrically conducting, viscous incompressible fluid past a semi-infinite vertical plate with variable surface temperature under the action of transversely applied magnetic field. The heat due to viscous dissipation and the induced magnetic field are assumed to be negligible. The dimensionless governing equations are unsteady, two-dimensional, coupled and non-linear governing equations. It is found that the magnetic field parameter has a retarding effect on the velocities of air and water.

Influence of magnetic field and thermal radiation by natural convection past vertical cone subjected to variable surface heat flux

A numerical study is performed to examine the heat transfer characteristics of natural convection past a vertical cone under the combined effects of magnetic field and thermal radiation. The surface of the cone is subjected to a variable surface heat flux. The fluid considered is a gray, absorbing-emitting radiation but a non-scattering medium. With approximate transformations, the boundary layer equations governing the flow are reduced to non-dimensional equations valid in the free convection regime. The dimensionless governing equations are solved by an implicit finite difference method of Crank-Nicolson type which is fast convergent, accurate, and unconditionally stable. Numerical results are obtained and presented for velocity, temperature, local and average wall shear stress, and local and average Nusselt number in air and water. The present results axe compared with the previous published work and are found to be in excellent agreement.

Theoretical and Computational Analyses of LNG Evaporator

Theoretical and numerical analysis on the fluid flow and heat transfer inside a LNG evaporator is conducted in this work. Methane is used instead of LNG as the operating fluid. This is because; methane constitutes over 80% of natural gas. The analytical calculations are performed using simple mass and energy balance equations. The analytical calculations are made to assess the pressure and temperature variations in the steam tube. Multiphase numerical simulations are performed by solving the governing equations(basic flow equations of continuity, momentum and energy equations) in a portion of the evaporator domain consisting of a single steam pipe. The flow equations are solved along with equations of species transport. Multiphase modeling is incorporated using VOF method. Liquid methane is the primary phase. It vaporizes into the secondary phase gaseous methane. Steam is another secondary phase which flows through the heating coils. Turbulence is modeled by a two equation turbulence model. Both the theoretical and numerical predictions are seen to match well with each other. Further parametric studies are planned based on the current research.

Wavelet Space Partitioning for Symbolic Time Series Analysis

A crucial step in symbolic time series analysis （STSA） of observed data is symbol sequence generation that relies on partitioning the phase-space of the underlying dynamical system. We present a novel partitioning method, called wavelet-space （WS） partitioning, as an alternative to symbolic false nearest neighbour （SFNN） partitioning. While the WS and SFNN partitioning methods have been demonstrated to yield comparable performance for anomaly detection on laboratory apparatuses, computation of WS partitioning is several orders of magnitude faster than that of the SFNN partitioning.

Thermal,corrosion and wear analysis of copper based metal matrix composites reinforced with alumina and graphite

The wear and corrosion resistances are important in marine applications, especially when it comes to structural support components like bearings, bushes and blocks. The copper hybrid metal matrix components are the new avenues explored in this front. A novel combination of alumina and graphite were considered as the reinforcements in a copper base for the development of a metal matrix *** metallurgical techniques were used for the development of the MMC. The Vickers' s hardness value of 64.9 Hv has been observed by increasing the volume of alumina. Thermogravimetric analyses were carried out on material samples to estimate the exact sintering temperature and identified that 450-700℃ would be conducive. The TGA curves shows two step decomposition exists between 430 ℃-460 ℃. FT-IR analysis was done to confirm the peak values of the materials. FTIR exposed the peak value of 1600 cm^(-1) for alumina where as for Copper and graphite peak values have been 2840 cm^(-1) and 17260 cm^(-1) respectively. The potentio dynamic analysis was done to estimate the rate of corrosion on the samples. The sample with nano and micro reinforcements offered intensive resistance to corrosion. The presence of graphite minimized the weight loss of the samples during the corrosion test. Finally the wear rates of the samples were estimated using the Pin On Disc experimental setup. The samples with nano material reinforcement and with a maximum proportion of graphite exhibited a better wear rate of 1.52×10^(-12) m^2/kg under maximum load conditions.
