The utilization of RAPD and ISSR molecular markers is proposed to initiate studies of genetic variability in Phrynops hilarii（Chelidae） and Trachemys dorbigni（Emydidae）, two species of fresh water turtles distributed in South America. Three primers of RAPD and four of ISSR were selected and the amplified products of these markers were evaluated by electrophoretic runs in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. The levels of heterozygosity, Shannon index and different allele numbers were slightly higher in P. hilarii for both types of markers. Levels of polymorphism were also higher in P. hilarii than T. dorbigni and both were elevated compared to those recorded for other species. The fact that similar results were obtained with both types of markers for all estimates of diversity highlights the usefulness and validity of the RAPD technique. The molecular markers used were found potentially useful for analysing future temporal and spatial distribution of genetic diversity in both species, expanding scales work.

Spontaneous combustion of coal is a problem that affects the mining operation and generates environ-mental,economic,social and geotechnical *** phenomenon has been divided into two pro-cesses:ignition and *** propagation develops in coal seams because of a set of factors such as direction and wind speed,fracturing and *** this work,heat transfer and chemical kinetics are studied from conservation equations of energy and species,respectively,using the software COMSOL Multiphysics to simulate the propagation of fires in coal *** possible scenarios were analyzed that usually occur in the walls of the coal seams,such as fire focus and fire complete *** was found that the propagation kinetics of the fire changes depending on the temperature,the fractur-ing of rock mass and the area of fire *** temperature values lower than 300℃,there is con-sumption around 250 cm^3/h,values around 700℃,the consumption is 1500 cm^3/h,and for fires of 1200℃ have values of 3000 cm^3/*** on the speed of propagation can vary from 4 to 17cm/day,considering on the level and fracturing of the final wall of the open pit.

South Asian dairy smallholders: A scoping review of practices and zoonoses

Objective: To identify and discuss on-farm management practices linked to bacterial zoonosis risk in smallholder dairy farmers in South Asia. Methods: This scoping review was conducted as per the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Five hundred and two publications were retrieved from five online databases using a comprehensive search strategy. Studies were selected if they discussed a farm management practice which impacted human health within a South Asian country. Results: Twenty-two studies were included. Seven management practices relevant to farmers, livestock and their shared environment were identified including raw milk consumption, farm hygiene management, personal protective equipment uses, animal vaccination, cleaning udders, hand washing and disposal of afterbirth materials. Preventive practices were found to be utilized at lower frequencies compared to risk increasing practices. Awareness of bacterial zoonoses is particularly low within the region. Conclusions: Based on the results of this review, it was determined that improving farmer awareness of bacterial zoonotic diseases may favor several of the presented leverage points within the South Asian smallholder dairy system. Relying on formal school education to improve this awareness may not solve this problem, instead, more focus on accessible and affordable zoonoses education and farming programs is required.

Colorectal cancer(CRC) is a major health problem in the Western world. The diagnostic process is a challenge in all health systems for many reasons: There are often no specific symptoms; lower abdominal symptoms are very common and mostly related to nonneoplastic diseases, not CRC; diagnosis of CRC is mainlybased on colonoscopy, an invasive procedure; and the resource for diagnosis is usually scarce. Furthermore, the available predictive models for CRC are based on the evaluation of symptoms, and their diagnostic accuracy is limited. Moreover, diagnosis is a complex process involving a sequence of events related to the patient, the initial consulting physician and the health system. Understanding this process is the first step in identifying avoidable factors and reducing the effects of diagnostic delay on the prognosis of CRC. In this article, we describe the predictive value of symptoms for CRC detection. We summarize the available evidence concerning the diagnostic process, as well as the factors implicated in its delay and the methods proposed to reduce it. We describe the different prioritization criteria and predictive models for CRC detection, specifically addressing the two-week wait referral guideline from the National Institute of Clinical Excellence in terms of efficacy, efficiency and diagnostic accuracy. Finally, we collected information on the usefulness of biomarkers, specifically the faecal immunochemical test, as non-invasive diagnostic tests for CRC detection in symptomatic patients.

A Non-Destructive Time Series Model for the Estimation of Cherry Coffee Production

Coffee plays a key role in the generation of rural employment in *** than 785,000 workers are directly employed in this activity,which represents the 26%of all jobs in the agricultural *** coffee growers estimate the production of cherry coffee with the main aim of planning the required activities,and resources(number of workers,required infrastructures),anticipating negotiations,estimating,price,and foreseeing losses of coffee production in a specific *** important processes can be affected by several factors that are not easy to predict(e.g.,weather variability,diseases,or plagues.).In this paper,we propose a non-destructive time series model,based on weather and crop management information,that estimate coffee production allowing coffee growers to improve their management of agricultural activities such as flowering calendars,harvesting seasons,definition of irrigation methods,nutrition calendars,and programming the times of concentration of production to define the amount of personnel needed for *** combination of time series and machine learning algorithms based on regression trees(XGBOOST,TR and RF)provides very positive results for the test dataset collected in real conditions for more than a *** best results were obtained by the XGBOOST model(MAE=0.03;RMSE=0.01),and a difference of approximately 0.57%absolute to the main harvest of 2018.
