studies on lactobionic acid introduced as a synergist in the presence of phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid （PbTC） and zinc ions for corrosion control of carbon steel in aqueous environment are presented. The investigations revealed that lactobionic acid （lbA） acts as an excellent synergist in corrosion inhibition. Optimum concentrations of all the three components of the ternary formulation are established by gravimetric studies. Potentiodynamic polarization studies indicate that the new ternary system is a mixed inhibitor. Impedance studies show that a protective film is formed on the metal surface in the presence of the inhibitor formulation. The film is found to exhibit its protective nature even at higher temperatures up to 60 ~C. Analysis of the protective film by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPs） and reflection absorption Fourier transform infrared （FTIR） spectroscopy infers the presence of Zn（OH）2, oxides and hydroxides of iron and the inhibitor molecules in the surface film probably in the form of a complex, [Zn（II）-PbTC-lbA]. The morphological studies by scanning electron microscopy （sEM） and the topographical studies by atomic force microscopy （AFM） also indicate the presence of protective film on the metal surface. A plausible mechanism of corrosion inhibition is proposed.

Corrosion of embedded rebars is a classical deterioration mechanism of reinforced concrete structures exposed to chloride environments. such environments can be attributed to the presence of seawater, deicing or sea-salts, which have high concentrations of chloride ion. Chloride ingress into concrete, essential for inducing rebar corrosion, is a complex interaction between many physical and chemical processes. The current study proposes two chloride ingress parameter models for fly ash concrete, namely： 1） surface chloride content under tidal exposure condition; and 2） chloride binding. First, inconsistencies in surface chloride content and chloride binding models reported in literature, due to them not being in line with past research studies, are pointed out. secondly, to avoid such inconsistencies, surface chloride content and chloride binding models for fly ash concrete are proposed based upon the experimental work done by other researchers. It is observed that, proposed models are simple, consistent and in line with past research studies reported in literature.

The systematic errors of wind field associated with the prediction of Asian summer monsoon and their impact on the monsoon circulation have been studied in this paper. The daily operational analyses and fore-casts (up to day-5) of the National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF), India, over the Asian summer monsoon domain for the period June, July and August of 1995 are made use for the purpose. The systematic errors associated with the low level flow delineate, reduction in the strength of trade winds leading to weakening of cross equatorial flow as well as westerly flow over Indian Ocean. The upper level errors connote weakening of Tibetan anticyclone and reduction in the strength of return flow into the southern Hemisphere. Further, these errors evince growing tendency with increase in the forecast period. Apart from the general underestimation of kinetic energy budget terms, the model forecasts fail to represent the transient eddies. The forecasts show increasing trend in the conversion of eddy to mean kinetic energy. These errors enfeeble Asian summer monsoon circulation with increase in the forecast period. Passive image forgery detection methods that identify forgeries without prior knowledge have become a key research *** copy-move forgery,the assailant intends to hide a portion of an image by pasting other portions of the same *** detection of such manipulations in images has great demand in legal evidence,forensic investigation,and many other *** paper aims to present copy-move forgery detection algorithms with the help of advanced feature descriptors,such as local ternary pattern,local phase quantization,local Gabor binary pattern histogram sequence,Weber local descriptor,and local monotonic pattern,and classifiers such as optimized support vector machine and optimized *** proposed algorithms can classify an image efficiently as either copy-move forged or authenticated,even if the test image is subjected to attacks such as JPEG compression,scaling,rotation,and brightness ***,CAsIA,and MICC datasets and a combination of CoMoFoD and CAsIA datasets images are used to quantify the performance of the proposed *** proposed algorithms are more efficient than state-of-the-art algorithms even though the suspected image is post-processed.

Aim of the present study was to synthesize titanium dioxide nanoparticles （YiO2 NPs） from marine actinobacteria and to develop an eco-friendly azo-dye degradation method. A total of five actinobacterial isolates were isolated from Chennai marine sediments, Tamilnadu, India and analyzed for the synthesis of TiO2 NPs using titanium hydroxide. Among these, the isolate PsV 3 showed positive results for the synthesis of TiO2 NPs, which was confirmed by UV analysis. Further characterization of the synthesized TiO2 NPs was done using XRD, AFM and FI＇-IR analysis. Actinobacterial crude extract and synthesized TiO2 NPs was found efficient in degrading azo dye such as Acid Red 79 （AR-79） and Acid Red 80 （AR-80）. Degradation percentage was found to be 81% for AR-79, 83% for AR-80 using actinobacterial crude extract and 84% for AR-79, 85% for AR-80 using TiO2 NPs. Immobilized actinobacterial ceils showed 88% for AR-79 and 81% for AR- 80, dye degrading capacity. Degraded components were characterized by FT-IR and GC-Ms analysis. The phytotoxicity test with 500 μg/ml of untreated dye showed remarkable phenotypic as well as cellular damage to Tagetes erecta plant. Comparatively no such damage was observed on plants by degraded dye components. In biotoxicity assay, treated dyes showed less toxic effect as compared to the untreated dyes.

Corrosion inhibition characteristics of bio polymer dextran was studied for the corrosion control of 6061 Al-15%_((v)) siC_((P)) composite and its base alloy in 1 mol·l^(-1) HCl. standard electrochemical techniques such as potentiodynamic polarization(PDP) measurements and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIs) method were adopted for corrosion rate measurement. surface morphology was studied by scanning electron microscopy(sEM) and elemental mapping was done by energy dispersive X-ray(EDX) analysis. suitable mechanism was proposed for corrosion and inhibition process. Results indicated that dextran acts as an excellent anticorrosive agent for the corrosion control of 6061 Al-15%_((v)) siC_((P)) composite, with maximum inhibition efficiency of 91% for the concentration of 0.4 g·l^(-1) at 303 K. Dextran acted as a mixed type of inhibitor, and got physically adsorbed both on composite and base alloy by obeying langmuir adsorption isotherm. Dextran is proved to be a green inhibitor with environmental and economic benefits.

Purpose-Doppler-bearing Tracking(DbT)is commonly used in target tracking applications for the underwater environment using the Hull-Mounted sensor(HMs).It is an important and challenging problem in an underwater ***/methodology/approach-The system nonlinearity in an underwater environment increases due to several reasons such as the type of measurements taken,the speeds of target and observer,environmental conditions,number of sensors considered for measurements and so *** of nonlinearity(DoNl)for these problems are analyzed using a proposed measure of nonlinearity(MoNl)for state ***-In this research,the authors analyzed MoNl for state estimation and computed the conditional MoNl(normalized)using different filtering algorithms where measurements are obtained from a single sensor array(***).MoNl is implemented to find out the system nonlinearity for different filtering algorithms and identified how much nonlinear the system is,that is,to measure nonlinearity of a ***/value-Algorithms are evaluated for various scenarios with different angles on the target bow(ATb)in Monte-Carlo *** of root mean squared(RMs)errors in position and velocity is carried out to assess the state estimation accuracy using MATlAb.

This paper presents isothermal uniaxial compression test results of M300 grade maraging steel over a wide range of temperatures(900 e1200℃) and strain rates(0.001 e100 s^(-1)) to examine hot deformability and concurrent microstructural evolution. Processing map is generated and indicated the optimum processing parameters in the temperature range of 1125℃-1200℃ and strain rate range of 0.001 e0.1 s^(-1). High values of the efficiency of power dissipation, microstructural observations and EbsD results indicate softening mechanism to be the occurrence of dynamic recrystallisation. Material constants in a constitutive relation are evaluated from the flow stress data useful in computer modelling.

Objective:To evaluate bepato protective and antioxidant capacity of Melochia corchorifolia （***）aerial part ***:Antioxidant activitywas evaluated by using three free radicals（superoxide,Hydroxyl and DPPH） and hepatoprotective activity was assessed against CCl4 induced liver intoxication in ***:The extracts produced concentration dependent percentage protection in decrease of serum enzymes and percentage inhibition on free *** all extracts methanol extract showed better activity with percentage protection of sGOT（78.98%）,sGPT（79.65%）,AlP（82.48%） and total bilirubin（80.0%）levels against CCl4 liver intoxication and also methanolic extract showed better activity with IC50 values on superoxide. hydroxyl and DPPH radicals were 127μg.240μg and 179μ***:From the results obtained during the study it could be concluded that *** aerial part extracts have antioxidant and hepaloprotective *** study is necessary for isolation and characterization of bioactive molecules which are responsible for hepatoprotective and antioxidant activity.
