Objective:To investigate the effect of Huangqin Decoction(HQD)on nuclear factor erythroid 2 related-factor 2(Nrf2)/heme oxygenase(HO-1)signaling pathway by inducing the colitis-associated carcinogenesis(CAC)model mice with azoxymethane(AOM)/dextran sodium sulfate(DSS).Methods:The chemical components of HQD were analyzed by liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry(LC-Q-TOF-MS/MS)to determine the molecular constituents of *** 48 C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into 6 groups by a random number table,including control,model(AOM/DSS),mesalazine(MS),low-,medium-,and high-dose HQD(HQD-L,HQD-M,and HQD-H)groups,8 mice in each *** for the control group,the mice in the other groups were intraperitoneally injected with AOM(10 mg/kg)and administrated with 2.5%DSS orally for 1 week every two weeks(totally 3 rounds of DSS)to construct a colitis-associated carcinogenesis mouse *** mice in the HQD-L,HQD-M and HQD-H groups were given HQD by gavage at doses of 2.925,5.85,and 11.7 g/kg,respectively;the mice in the MS group was given a suspension of MS at a dose of 0.043 g/kg(totally 11 weeks).The serum levels of malondialdehyde(MDA)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** mRNA and protein expression levels of Nrf2,HO-1,and inhibitory KELCH like ECH-related protein 1(Keap1)in colon tissue were detected by quantitative real-time PCR,immunohistochemistry,and Westem blot,***:LC-Q-TOF-MS/MS analysis revealed that the chemical constituents of HQD include baicalin,paeoniflorin,and glycyrrhizic *** to the control group,significantly higher MDA levels and lower SOD levels were observed in the model group(P<0.05),whereas the expressions of Nrf2 and HO-1 were significantly decreased,and the expression of Keap1 increased(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,serum MDA level was decreased and SOD level was increased in the HQD-M,HQD-H and MS groups(P<0.05).Higher expressions of

Objective:To investigate the protective effect of Chinese herbal formula Huangqin Decoction(HQD)on ulcerative colitis mouse model induced by dextran sulphate sodium(DSS)and human intestinal epithelial cell injury induced by tumour necrosis factor-α(TNF-α).Methods:In vivo,30 male C57BL/6 mice were divided into 5 groups using a random number table(n=6 per group),including control,DSS,5-aminosalicylic acid(5-ASA),HQD low-(HQD-L)and high-dose(HQD-H)*** colitis mouse model was established by 3%(w/v)DSS water for 5 ***,mice in the HQD-L,HQD-H and 5-ASA groups were administrated with 100,200 mg/kg HQD or 100 mg/kg 5-ASA,respectively,once daily by *** 9 days of administration,the body weight,disease activity index(DAI)score and colon length of mice were measured,the pathological changes of colons were analyzed by hematoxylin-eosin staining(HE)staining,and the levels of serum interleukin(IL)-6,IL-1βand TNF-αwere measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent *** vitro,the human colon epithelial normal cells(FHC cells)were exposed to HQD(0.6 mg/mL)for 12 h and then treated with TNF-α(10 ng/mL)for 24 *** tight junction(TJ)protein expression levels of Claudin-4 and Occludin,and the protein phosphorylation levels of p65 and inhibitor of nuclear factor kappaB(NF-κB)-α(IκBα)were measured by Western ***:In vivo,compared with the DSS group,HQD-H treatment attenuated the weight loss and reduced DAI score of mice on the 8th day(P<0.05).Moreover,HQD-H treatment ameliorated the colon shortening in the DSS-induced colitis mice(P<0.05).HE staining showed HQD attenuated the pathological changes of colitis mice,and the histological scores of HQD-H and 5-ASA groups were significantly decreased compared with the DSS group(P<0.05).Meanwhile,HQD-H and 5-ASA significantly decreased the serum IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-αlevels of mice(P<0.05).In vitro experiments showed that HQD up-regulated Occludin and Claudin-4 protein expressions and inhibited p-p65 and p-IκBαlevel

CO2-facilitated upcycling of polyolefin plastics to aromatics at low temperature

Plastics are one of the most produced synthetic materials and largest commodities, used in numerous sectors of human life. To upcycle waste plastics into value-added chemicals is a global challenge. Despite significant progress in pyrolysis and hydrocracking, which mainly leads to the formation of pyrolysis oil,catalytic upcycling to value-added aromatics, including benzene, toluene and xylene（BTX）, in one step, is still limited by high reaction temperatures（>500°C） and a low yield. We report herein CO2-facilitated upcycling of polyolefins and their plastic products to aromatics below 300°C, enabled by a bifunctional Pt/Mn Ox-ZSM-5 catalyst. ZSM-5 catalyzes cracking of polyolefins and aromatization, generating hydrogen at the same time, while Pt/Mn Ox catalyzes the reaction of hydrogen with CO2, consequently driving the reaction towards aromatization. Isotope experiments reveal that 0.2 kg CO2is consumed per 1.0 kg polyethylene and 90% of the consumed CO2is incorporated into the aromatic products. Furthermore, this new process yields 0.63 kg aromatics（BTX accounting for 60%）, comparing favorably with the conventional pyrolysis or hydrocracking processes, which produce only 0.33 kg aromatics. In this way, both plastic waste and the greenhouse gas CO2are turned into carbon resources, providing a new strategy for combined waste plastics upcycling and carbon dioxide utilization.

Shape optimisation of basin insulator for DC gas insulated switchgear/gas insulated transmission lines based on artificial bee colony algorithm

The surface charge accumulation on the basin insulator is a particular problem in high-voltage direct current(HVDC)gas insulated switchgears(GIS)and gas insulated trans-mission lines(GIL),which restricts the development and application of extra/ultra high-voltage(EHV/UHV)*** surface charge distribution and anti-flashover performance are closely related to the insulator *** obtain the optimal basin insulator,a shape optimisation model based on artificial bee colony algorithm was established,and the minimisation objective functions based on capacitive(initial)electric field distribution and resistive(steady-state)electric field distribution were respectively *** optimisation results of the two objective functions were calculated,and the electric field and charge distribution on the surface of the insulator before and after optimisation were evaluated and compared using the simulation *** results indicated that the optimisation based on the capacitive electric field can significantly inhibit the surface charge accumulation,and the optimised insulator can significantly reduce the surface normal electric field and make the distribution of the tangential electric field more uniform,and the maximum tangential electric field can be reduced by 10%;the optimisation based on resistive electric field can achieve similar results,but requires more computational *** on the results,the‘anti-charge’basin insulator structure suitable for the DC field was given.

State-sensitive convolutional sparse coding for potential biomarker identification in brain signals

The identification of prototypical waveforms, such as sleep spindles and epileptic spikes, is crucial for the diagnosis of neurological disorders. These prototypical waveforms are usually recurrently presented in certain brain states, serving as potential biomarkers for clinical evaluations. Convolutional sparse coding(CSC) approaches have demonstrated strength in identifying recurrent patterns in time-series. However,existing CSC approaches do not explicitly explore state-specific patterns, making it difficult to identify state-related biomarkers. To address this problem, we propose state-sensitive CSC to learn state-specific prototypical waveforms. Specifically, we model signals of a certain state with specific waveforms that only appear frequently in this state and background waveforms that are independent of states. Based on this,state-sensitive CSC separates state-specific waveforms from background ones explicitly by incorporating incoherence constraints into optimizations. Experiments with epilepsy brain signals demonstrate that our approach can effectively identify prototypical waveforms in pre-ictal states, providing potential biomarkers for seizure prediction. Our approach provides a promising tool for automatic biomarker candidate identification.

Hydrodynamic Characteristics of Undular Tidal Bores in the Qiantang River Based on Field Observations

Understanding the undular tidal bores in the Qiantang River is essential for effective river management and *** breaking tidal bores have been studied extensively, reports on undular tidal bores in the Qiantang Riverremain limited. Furthermore, observed data on undular tidal bores fulfilling the requirements of short measurementtime intervals, and spring, medium, and neap tide coverage, and providing detailed data for the global vertical stratificationof flow velocity are quite limited. Based on field observations at Qige in the Qiantang estuary, we analyzedthe characteristics of undular tidal bores. The results showed that the flooding amplitude (a) of the first wave isalways larger than its ebbing amplitude (b). Moreover, the vertical distribution of the maximum flood velocity exhibitesthree shapes, influenced by the tidal range, while that of the maximum ebb velocity exhibites a single shape. Duringthe initial phase of the flood tide in the spring and medium tides, the upper water body experiences multiple oscillatingchanges along the flow direction, corresponding to the alternating process of the crest and trough of the tide levelupon the arrival of the tidal bore. The tidal range is a crucial parameter in tidal bore hydrodynamics. By establishingthe relationship between hydrodynamic parameters and tidal range, other hydrodynamic parameters, such as the tidalbore height, maximum flood depth–averaged velocity, maximum flood stratified velocity at the measurement points,and duration of the flood tide current, can be effectively predicted, thereby providing an important reference for rivermanagement and maintenance.

Phase manipulation of MoS_(2) from thermodynamically stable 2H phase to the unstable but more reactive 1T phase represents a crucial strategy for improving the reactivity in many *** widely adopted wet chemistry approach uses intercalating entities especially alkali metal ions to achieve the phase transition;however,these entities are normally inert for the target ***,we describe the first use of iron atoms for the intercalation of 2H-MoS_(2) layers,driving the partial transition from 2H to 1T ***,in the peroxymonosulfate(PMS)-based Fenton-like reactions,the interlayered confinement of Fe atoms not only activates the inert basal plane,but also adds more reactive Fe sites for the formation of metal-PMS complex as primary reactive species for pollutant *** the degradation of a model pollutant carbamazepine(CBZ),the Fe-intercalated MoS_(2) exhibits a first order rate constant 13.3 times higher than 2H-MoS_(2).This strategy is a new direction for manipulating the phase composition and boosting the catalytic reactivity of MoS_(2)-based catalysts in various scenarios,including environmental remediation and energy applications.

A semi-analytical pressure and rate transient analysis model for inner boundary and propped fractures exhibiting dynamic behavior under long-term production conditions

The loss of hydrocarbon production caused by the dynamic behavior of the inner boundary and propped fractures under long-term production conditions has been widely reported in recent studies. However,the quantitative relationships for the variations of the inner boundary and propped fractures have not been determined and incorporated in the semi-analytical models for the pressure and rate transient analysis. This work focuses on describing the variations of the inner boundary and propped fractures and capturing the typical characteristics from the pressure transient curves.A generalized semi-analytical model was developed to characterize the dynamic behavior of the inner boundary and propped fractures under long-term production conditions. The pressure-dependent length shrinkage coefficients, which quantify the length changes of the inner zone and propped fractures, are modified and incorporated into this multi-zone semi-analytical model. With simultaneous numerical iterations and numerical inversions in Laplace and real-time space, the transient solutions to pressure and rate behavior are determined in just a few seconds. The dynamic behavior of the inner boundary and propped fractures on transient pressure curves is divided into five periods: fracture bilinear flow(FR1),dynamic PFs flow(FR2), inner-area linear flow(FR3), dynamic inner boundary flow(FR4), and outer-area dominated linear flow(FR5). The early hump during FR2 period and a positive upward shift during FR4period are captured on the log-log pressure transient curves, reflecting the dynamic behavior of the inner boundary and propped fractures during the long-term production *** transient pressure behavior will exhibit greater positive upward trend and the flow rate will be lower with the shrinkage of the inner boundary.
