Introduction: Cancer is a chronic debilitating disease that unnerves p.tients, com.unities, and nations. At som. p.int in cancer p.tient’s disease exp.rience, chem.therap. is used, and the p.tient is exp.cted to adhere to treatm.nt to im.rove survival and quality of life. m.thods: This m.ltisite Cluster Random.zed Trial (CRT) evaluated the effectiveness of m.bile p.one Short m.ssage Service (Sm.) sup.ort on the adherence to treatm.nt schedules am.ng adult cancer p.tients in Kenya. Data was collected using questionnaires. Ethical ap.rovals were obtained from.relevant Ethical Review Boards (ERBs). Results: The m.an adherence was 83%. There was a significant difference between treatm.nt arm. in relation to the adherence. The intervention arm.had a higher m.an adherence difference, m.= 3.913, 95% CI 2.632-5.193, t (402) = 6.006, p.≤ 0.001), with Cohen’s d = 0.60. Although not significant, (χp.2p.dd = 0.151, df = 1, p.= 2.064), m.re wom.n were p.rfect adheres than m.les. p.rfect adherers were satisfied with Sm. sup.ort (χp.2p.dd = 7.620, df = 1, p.= 0.06), were in the intervention arm.(χp.2p.dd = 22.942, df = 1, p.≤ 0.001), and had trust in the care p.ovider (χp.2p.dd = 10.591 p.≤ 0.001). Sm. sup.ort was not significant in the m.ltivariate analysis but had an estim.ted effect size of 0.958 (z = 1.424, p.= 0.154, CI = 0.242-3.781), indicating that m.an adherence was slightly better in the p.esence of the intervention. Conclusions: Sm.-sup.ort intervention has dem.nstrated sup.riority in influencing adherence. Further, health system.related factors have a significant influence on the adherence to chem.therap. treatm.nt. Interventions to re-design health system. that are resp.nsive to unm.t care needs of cancer p.tients m.st be exp.ored. .

The use of biochar can have several effects on p.ant germ.nation,dep.nding on raw m.terial,p.ep.ration m.thod and ap.lication ***,the m.lecular m.chanism. that lead to those results have yet to be *** aim.of this research was to im.rove the understanding of these m.chanism. by characterizing the m.tabolic effects of sugarcane bagasse biochar on soybean *** typ.s of biochars were p.ep.red by p.rolysis at 300℃(SCB300),400℃(SCB400)and 600℃(SCB600).Then,each one was m.xed into sand at 1%,3%,5%(w/w)dose,*** exp.rim.nt was p.rform.d in 8 days of incubation,when the num.er of germ.nated seeds and the average radicle length were *** evaluate the m.tabolom.,the dry biom.ss(DB)was subjected to extraction with a m.xture of m.thanol-d4 and D2O(1:1 v/v).The extracts were subm.tted to m.tabolom.cs analysis by p.oton Nuclear m.gnetic *** Relative Germ.nation,Relative Average Radicle Growth and Germ.nation Index increased in all treatm.nts com.ared to *** the other hand,the DB increased in all treatm.nts,excep. for SCB300,at doses of 1%and 3%w/*** m.tabolites(alanine,asp.ragine,acetic acid,citric acid,glycerol,fatty acids and sucrose)were identified and quantified in DB extracts as the m.st influential finding for the sep.ration of *** together,these results strongly suggested that biochars accelerated the catabolism.of triacylglycerols to sucrose and induced a slight osm.tic stress.

The wadi dahab delta is in a dry, arid coastal zone within Egyp.’s south Sinai p.ninsula’s eastern p.rtion. The p.im.ry water source is the Quaternary coastal alluvial aquifer. The groundwater salinity varies from.890to 8213 m./L, with a m.an value of 3417 m./L. The dissolved m.jor ions have been used to calculate the seawater m.xing index(SWm.) using a linear equation that discrim.nates the groundwater m.stly affected by water–rock interaction(SWm. 1>) and other sam.les m.xed with Seawater(SWm. p.c com.osition of groundwater for sp.cifically chosen groundwater sam.les ranges from.0.645‰ to +5.212‰ for δ^(18)O and from.9.582‰ to + 22.778‰ for δ^(2)H, where the seawater rep.esented by a Red Sea water sam.le(δ^(18)O + 1.64‰-δ^(2)H + 9.80‰) and reject brine water are considerably enriched the isotop.c groundwater values. The geochem.cal NETp.TH m.del constrained by the dissolved significant ions, isotop.s, and the rock aquifer form.ng m.nerals as p.ases indicate the m.xing p.rcent with the seawater ranges from.9% to 97% of seawater from.91% to 3% of original recharge water. According to the SEAWAT 3-D flow m.dels, seawater has p.netrated the Northeastern Dahab delta aquifer, with the intrusion zone extending1500 m.inland. The salt dissolution, up.elling of saline water, recharge from.the up.tream.m.untain block, and seawater encroachm.nt are the p.im.ry asp.cts contributing to the deterioration of groundwater quality. The sustainability of rice p.oduction continues to be a subject of uncertainty and inquiry attributed to shifts in clim.tic conditions. In light of the im.ending clim.te change crisis and the high labor and water costs accom.anying it, direct-seeded rice(DSR) is unquestionably one of the m.st p.actical solutions. Desp.te its resource and clim.te-friendly advantages, early m.turing rice faces weed com.etitiveness and seedling establishm.nt challenges. Resolving these issues is crucial for p.om.ting its wider adop.ion am.ng farm.rs, p.esenting it as a m.re effective sustainable rice cultivation m.thod globally. Diverse traditional and contem.orary breeding m.thods are em.loyed to m.tigate the lim.tations of the DSR ap.roach, leveraging advanced techniques such as sp.ed breeding and genom. editing. Focusing on key traits like m.socotyl length elongation, early seedling vigor, root system.architecture, and weed com.etitiveness holds p.om.se for transform.tive im.rovem.nts in DSR adap.ation at a broader scale within farm.ng com.unities. This review aim. to sum.arize how these features contribute to increased crop.p.oduction in DSR conditions and exp.ore the research efforts focusing on enhancing DSR adap.ation through these traits. Em.hasizing the p.votal role of these gam.-changing traits in DSR adap.ation, our analysis sheds light on their p.tential transform.tive im.act and offers valuable insights for advancing DSR p.actices.
