In order to improve accuracy of soil moisture inversion using remote sensing, a new thermal inertia model is proposed in this paper. The improved model needs only surface maximum temperature as the temperature parameter input instead of input of the surface temperature difference, as well as the surface sensible and latent fluxes are introduced into boundary conditions of thermal conductivity equation. Furthermore, surface soil conductive heat transfer equation of two-layer model is used to solve the soil thermal inertia so that the remote sensing thermal inertia method can be ap- plied to regions with better-covered vegetation, but usually only for the bare areas or worse vegetation covered areas. The model has been tested at several locations in the area of west Inner Mongolia. Comparing the simulation of the new model with the measurements obtained by apparent thermal inertia and by field test, the result shows that the inertia thermal model can be used to estimate soil moisture in more reasonable accuracy.

AIM: To investigate the influence of L-methionine-deprived total parenteral nutrition with 5-FU on gastric cancer and host metabolism. METHODS: N-methyl-N'-nitro-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) induced gastric cancer rats were randomly divided into four groups: Met-containing TpN group (n=11), Met-deprived TpN group (n =12), Met-containing TpN+5-FU group (n=11) and Met-deprived TpN+5-FU group (n=12). Five rats in each group were sacrificed after 7 days of treatment and the samples were taken for examination. The remaining rats in each group were then fed separately with normal diet after the treatment until death, the life span was noted. rESULTS: The tumors were enlarged in Met-containing group and shrank in Met-deprived group markedly after the treatment. The DNA index (DI) of tumor cells and the body weight (BW) of rats had no significant change in the two groups, however, the ratio of tumor cells'S phase was increased. The ratio of G2M phase went up in Met-containing group, but down in Met-deprived group. In the other two groups that 5-FU was added, the BW of rats, and the diameter of tumors, the DI of tumor cells, the S and G2M phase ratio of tumor cells were all decreased, particularly in Met-deprived plus 5-FU group. pathological examination revealed that the necrotic foci of the tumor tissue increased after Met-deprived TpN treatment, and the nucleoli of tumor cells enlarged. In MetTpN+5-FU group, severe nuclear damage was also found by karyopyknosis and karyorrhexis, meanwhile there was slight degeneration in some liver and kidney cells. The serum free Met and Cysteine decreased markedly (pr amino acids, such as serum free serine and glutamine increased significantly (prats died of multiple organ failure caused by cancer metastasis. AIM In this study we investigated the relationship of the X protein of HBV and nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)and the expression of NF-κB in human hepatocellular carcinoma tissues. METHODS Immunohistochemistry Sp method was used to detect the expression of NF-κB and the X protein of HBV in human hepatocellular carcinoma tissues of 52 *** transfection mediated by lipofectamine was used to transfect the eukaryotic expression vector pCDNA3.1-HBX of HBV x gene into human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HCC-9204 and NF-κB was detected. rESULTS NF-κB was widely expressed in human hepatocellular carcinoma tissues in a total of 52 cases and its expression was related to the X protein of ***-κB was localized both in the cytoplasm and the nuclei of hepatocellular carcinoma cells in 11 cases which were positive for the X protein of HBV while in 41 cases negative for the X protein of HBV,NF-κB was only localized in the cytoplasm of hepatocellular carcinoma cells but translocated to the nuclei of hepatocellular carcinoma cells after the eukaryotic expression vector pCDNA3.1-HBX was transfected into HCC-9204 cells. CONCLUSION This study strongly suggests that the nuclear factor NF-κB is widely expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues in different styles according to the expression of the X protein of ***-κB is abnormally activated in hepatocellular carcinoma,which is probably rélated to the X protein of *** X protein of HBV can activate NF-κB to translocate into nuclei of hepatocellular carcinoma cells.

We conducted a study concerning the suppressive mechanism of KAI1/CD82 on hepatoma cell *** growth factor(HGF)induces the migration of hepatoma cells through activation of cellular sphingosine kinase 1(SphK1).Adenovirus-mediated gene transfer of KAI1(Ad-KAI1)downregulates the SphK1 expression and suppresses the HGF-induced migration of SMMC-7721 human hepatocellcular carcinoma *** of KAI1/CD82 significantly elevates Sprouty2 at the protein *** of Sprouty2 with rNA interference can block the KAI1/CD82-induced suppression of hepatoma cell migration and downregulation of SphK1 *** is demonstrated that KAI1/CD82 suppresses HGF-induced migration of hepatoma cells via upregulation of Sprouty2.

Objective To investigate the preventive effect of magnetic stent on coronary restenosis after percutaneous arterial stenting.
