Neuromodulation for diabetic peripheral neuropathy represents a significant area of interest in the management of chronic pain associated with this *** peripheral neuropathy,a common complication of diabetes,is characterized by nerve damage due to high blood sugar levels that lead to symptoms,such as pain,tingling,and numbness,primarily in the hands and *** aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the efficacy of neuromodulatory techniques as potential therapeutic interventions for patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy,while also examining recent developments in this *** investigation encompassed an array of neuromodulation methods,including frequency rhythmic electrical modulated systems,dorsal root ganglion stimulation,and spinal cord *** systematic review suggests that neuromodulatory techniques may be useful in the treatment of diabetic peripheral *** the advantages of these treatments will enable physicians and other healthcare providers to offer additional options for patients with symptoms refractory to standard pharmacologic *** these efforts,we may improve quality of life and increase functional capacity in patients suffering from complications related to diabetic neuropathy.

The motion of baryonic components of the Milky Way is governed by both luminous and dark matter content of the ***,the dynamics of Milky Way globular clusters(GCs)can be used as tracers to infer the mass model of the Galaxy up to a large *** this work,we apply the directly observable line-of-sight velocities to test if the dynamics of the GC population are consistent with an assumed axisymmetric gravitational potential of the Milky *** this,we numerically compute the phase space distribution of the GC population where the orbits are either oriented randomly or co-/counter-rotating with respect to the stellar *** we compare the observed position and line-of-sight velocity distribution of^150 GCs with those of the *** found that,for the adopted mass model,the co-rotating scenario is the favored model based on various statistical *** do the analysis with and without the GCs associated with the progenitors of early merger *** analysis can be extended in the near future to include precise and copious data to better constrain the Galactic potential up to a large radius.

The relevance of groundwater hydrogeochemistry to explain the occurrence and distribution of arsenic in groundwater is of great *** insightful discussions on the control of shallow groundwater(rogeochemistry in arsenic mobilization are known to be a viable tool to explain the arsenic menace in shallow *** present investigation emphasizes the hydrogeochemical driver and/or control over the reductive dissolution of Fe-bearing host minerals and thereby releasing arsenic into the shallow groundwater of the study *** study suggests that hydrogeochemical evolution is mainly governed by carbonate minerals dissolution,silicate weathering,and competitive ion-exchange processes in the shallow aquifers(present study also indicates the prevalence of carbonate minerals dissolution over silicate *** emergence of Cl^(-)concentration in the shallow groundwater founds the possibilities of anthropogenic inputs into the shallow aquifers(reducing environment in shallow aquifers(rea is evident in the reductive dissolution of Febearing shallow aquifer minerals which absorb arsenic in the solid phase and mobilize arsenic onto shallow *** study opted for many statistical approaches to delineate the correlation among major and minor ionic constituents of the groundwater which are very helpful to understand the comprehensive mechanism of arsenic mobilization into shallow groundwater.

A mercury biosensor was constructed by integrating biosensor genetic elements into E. coli JM109 chromosome in a single copy number, using the attp/attB recombination mechanism of λ phage. The genetic elements used include a regulatory protein gene （merr） along with operator/promoter （O/p） derived from the mercury resistance operon from pDU1358 plasmid of Serratia marcescens. The expression of reporter gene gfp is also controlled by merr/O/p. Integration of the construct into the chromosome was done to increase the stability and precision of the biosensor. This biosensor could detect Hg（Ⅱ） ions in the concentration range of 100–1700 nmol/L, and manifest the result as the expression of GFp. The GFp expression was significantly different （p 0.05） for each concentration of inducing Hg（Ⅱ） ions in the detection range, which reduces the chances of misinterpretation of results. A model using regression method was also derived for the quantification of the concentration of Hg（Ⅱ） in water samples.

The diet of juvenile,including hatchlings and presumed yearlings of the Saltwater Crocodile,Crocodylus porosus,was studied at the Kuching Wetlands National park,western Sarawak,East Malaysia(Borneo),using both frequency of occurrence and volumetric composition of diet through the stomach flushing *** form the primary component of the diet of juvenile crocodiles,comprising shrimps of the family Atyidae(Caridina sp.,and penaeus indicus),occurring in the stomach of 17 individuals(53%by occurrence).An estimated 91.7%of hatchlings stomach-flushed had shrimps,and the emergence of hatchlings may be associated by inland migration of its shellfish prey,as reported in the *** secondary food item of hatchlings and presumed yearlings was ocypodid crabs,occurring in 16 individuals(in addition to a subadult),and comprise 47%-50%by *** items taken incidentally include rodents(in large yearlings,exceeding 100 cm in total length),and fish(in seven hatchlings and in one subadult),or in 29%of total individuals captured(47.7%in hatchlings and 15%in yearlings).A dietary change in ontogeny is therefore evident,as reported earlier in crocodilians.

In wetland ecosystem, nitrogen along with other elements and its management is most imperative for the production of so many aquatic food, non-food and beneficial medicinal plants and for the improvement of soil and water characteristics. With great significant importance of INM (integrated nutrient management) as sources, emphasizing on management on nitrogen as a key element and its divergence, a case study was undertaken on such aquatic food crops (starch and protein-rich, most popular and remunerative) in the farmers' field of low-lying 'Tal' situation of New Alluvial Zone of Indian subtropics. The study was designed in factorial randomized block design, where, three important aquatic food crops (water chestnut (Trapa bispinosa roxb.), makhana (Euryale ferox Salisb.) and water lily (Nymphaea spp.) as major factor and eleven combinations of organic and inorganic sources of nutrients as sub-factor was considered in the experiment. It revealed from the results that the production of fresh kernels or nuts of water chestnut (8.571 ha-1), matured nut yield of makhana (3.06 t ha-1) and flower stalks of water-lily as vegetables (6.38 t ha-1) including its nutritional quality (starch, protein, sugar and minerals) was remarkably influenced with the application of both organic (neem oilcake @ 0.2 t ha-1) and inorganic sources (NpK @ 30:20:20 kg ha-1 along with spraying of NpK @ 0.5% each over crop canopy at 20 days interval after transplanting) than the other INM combinations applied to the crops. Among the crops, highest WCYE (water chestnut yield equivalence) exhibited in makhana due to its high price of popped-form in the country, which is being exported to other countries at now. Sole application of both (organic and inorganic sources) with lower range did not produce any significant outcome from the study and exhibited lower value for all the crops.
