In this work,utilizing the first law of thermodynamics and the Flory mean-field theory,the kinetic deformation studies concerning the volume phase transition of the neutral thermo-sensitive hydrogels were p.r.ormed *** hydrogel was assumed as a biphasic mixture medium in the framework of the continuum mixture *** the energy conservation of the thermodynamics system of the hydrogel,the governing equations for the kinetics of the nonlinear large deforma-tion were *** explicit analytical expressions of the effective stress tensor and the chemical potential of the fluid of the thermo-sensitive hydrogel pNIpA were also obtained from the Helmholtz free energy,which can model the steady-static volume phase transition quantitatively.

A study of dimensional synthesis of a 3-DOF p.r.llel manipulator with coupling of translation and rotation is carried *** architecture of the manipulator is composed of a moving platform attached to a fixed base through three identical prS(prismatic-revolute-spherical) serial limbs,whose unique topology leads to the physical unit inconsistency of the conventional Jacobian matrix and the emergence of the p.r.sitic *** this pap.r.introduces a kinetostatic p.r.ormance index of the manipulator based on the condition of a dimensionally homogeneous Jacobian matrix,later,the workspace of the aforementioned manipulator is searched and the influence of the crucial design variables on the workspace is ***,a dimensional synthesis method of the manipulator is proposed,which may be regarded as a nonlinear programming problem with subject to the p.r.sitic motion and other several engineering constraints.

A New Measurement Method for Unbalanced Moments in a Two-axis Gimbaled Seeker

This article presents a novel method to measure unbalanced moments in a two-axis gimbaled seeker commonly believed to seviously influence the tracking accuracy and stabilizing capability. This method enables individual measurement of unbalanced moments, and judgment of the seeker＇ s status-balanced or not. Furthermore, an instrument is designed based on this method and calibrated. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through a simulation. The exp.r.mental results show a satisfied level of accuracy the measurements have. This work forms a basis for the further development of a more stabilized gimbaled seeker with less induced vibration and consumed power.

External synchronization is addressed as two or more dynamical systems with synchronous motions,which is also regarded as master-slave *** this pap.r.two dynamical systems,one employs a hysteretic term to model the friction phenomenon,the other involves a hardening stiffness component with the third order of displacement due to flexible deformation,are controlled to converge to the same *** control strategy is extended from feedback control for all p.r.meters known to adaptive control for linear p.r.meters unknown and all p.r.meters *** slave system can keep synchronous motions with the movements of master via the designed control strategy even all the p.r.meters are not *** stability of synchronization error,the transient process into synchronization and the effects of p.r.meters on the designed controller using different control strategies are *** simulation results unfold the feasibility and effectiveness of this synchronization method.

A new Ti-Fe-C compound powder for plasma cladding was prep.r.d by heating a mixture powder of ferrotitanium and asphalt p.r.-lyzed as a carbonaceous precursor. The carbon by the p.r.lysis of the asphalt acts as a reactive constituent as well as a binder in the compound powder. The TiC/Fe cermet coatings were prep.r.d by plasma cladding with the compound powder. results show that the Ti-Fe-C compound powder has a very tight structure, which can avoid the problem of the reactive constituent p.r.icles being sep- arated during cladding. The TiC/Fe cermet coating presents a typical morphology of plasma cladding coatings with two different lam- inated layers:one is the composite layer in which the round fine TiC p.r.icles (re disp.r.ed within a Fe matrix, the other is the p.r.gentic layer of TiC and Ti2O3. The coating shows high hardness and excellent wear resistance. The surface hardness of the coating is 68 ± 5(Hr30N). In the same fretting conditions, the wear area of Ni60 coating is about 11 times as much as the TiC/Fe cermet coating.

Microp.r.us titanium carbide coating was successfully synthesized on medical grade titanium alloy by using sequential *** in the surface morphology of titanium alloy occasioned by sequential carburization were characterized and the wettability characteristics were ***,the disp.r.ion forces were calculated and *** results indicate that sequential carburization is an effective way to modify the wettability of titanium *** the carburization the surface disp.r.ion force of titanium alloy increased from 76.5×10^(-3)J·m^(-2) to 105.5×10^(-3) J·m^(-2),with an enhancement of 37.9 %.Meanwhile the contact angle of titanium alloy decreased from 83° to 71.5°,indicating a significant improvement of wettability,which is much closer to the optimal water contact angle for cell adhesion of 70°.

Surface Topography of Fine-grained ZrO_2 Ceramic by Two-dimensional Ultrasonic Vibration Grinding

The surface quality of fine-grained ZrO2.engineering ceramic were researched using 270# diamond wheel both with and without work-piece two-dimension ultrasonic vibration grinding（WTDUVG）. By AFM images, the surface topography and the micro structure of the two-dimensional ultrasonic vibration grinding ceramics were especially analyzed. The exp.r.mental results indicate that the surface roughness is related to grinding vibration mode and the material removal mechanism. Surface quality of WTDUVG is sup.r.or to that of conventional grinding, and it is easy for two-dimensional ultrasonic vibration grinding that material removal mechanism is ductile mode grinding.
