Fatty acids(FAs)are an important class of functional small molecules and participate in a variety of life biological *** experiment proposed a liquid chromatography–quadrupole-qrbitrap mass spectrometry(LC–q-Orbitrap MS)method to perform FA profiling under parallel reaction monitoring(pRM)acquisition *** FA was derivatized by 2-dimethylaminoethylamine(DMED)to increase the ionization e fficiency and provide the characterized fragment *** mass spectra obtained from full scan,multiple ion monitoring(MIM),and pRM were *** results showed that the protonated ion of FA+DMED–H2O was detected and the neutral loss of 45.06 Da was observed in the tandem mass *** pRM method provided the highest selectivity and sensitivity for FA detection with the help of accurate mass weight and specific neutral loss-based *** method validation was performed using the FA standards and pooled quality control serum sample,which showed that the established method had good repeatability,stability,and ***,the developed method was successfully applied to analyze the rat serum and brain tissue samples for the drug e ffi-cacy evaluation of gross saponin of Tribulus terrestris ***(GSTTF)against middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)-induced ischemic *** method has extensive practicability and great potential in the detection of FA,especially for the analysis of samples with complex matrices.

Mesoscale eddies are a prominent oceanic phenomenon that plays an important role in oceanic mass transport and energy *** by rotational speed,the eddy intensity is one of the most fundamental properties of an ***,the seasonal spatiotemporal variation in eddy intensity has not been examined from a global ocean *** this study,we unveil the seasonal spatiotemporal characteristics of eddy intensity in the global ocean by using the latest satellite-altimetry-derived eddy trajectory data *** results suggest that the eddy intensity has a distinct seasonal variation,reaching a peak in spring while attaining a minimum in autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and the opposite in the Southern *** seasonal variation of eddy intensity is more intense in the tropical-subtropical transition zones within latitudinal bands between 15°and 30°in the western pacific Ocean,the northwestern Atlantic Ocean,and the eastern Indian Ocean because baroclinic instability in these areas changes *** analysis found that the seasonal variation of baroclinic instability precedes the eddy intensity by a phase of 2–3 months due to the initial perturbations needing time to grow into mesoscale eddies.

Even more fascinating than its bulk parent,a water droplet possesses extraordinary catalytic and hydro-voltaic capability,elastic adaptivity,hydrophobicity,sensitivity,thermal stability,etc.,but the underlying mechanism is still *** emphasize herewith that the H‒O bond follows the universal bond order‒length‒strength cor-relation and nonbonding electron polarization regulation and the hydrogen bond cooperativity and polarizability notion regulates the performance of the coupling hydrogen bond(O:H‒O).Computational and spectrometric evidence consistently shows that molecular undercoordination shortens the intramolecular H‒O bond by up to 10%while lengthening the intermolecular O:H nonbond by 20%cooperatively with an association of electron polarization,making the 0.3-nm thick droplet skin of a supersolid phase of *** supersolid skin dictates the performance and functionality of the droplet in chemical,dielectric,electrical,mechanical,optical,and thermal properties as well as the transport dynamics of electrons and *** amplification of these findings could deepen our insight into the undercoordi-nated aqueous systems,including bubbles and molecular clusters,and promote deep engineering of water and ice.

A glass frit containing Li_(2)O-MgO-ZnO-B_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)component was used to explore the low-temperature sintering behaviors and microwave dielectric characteristics of tri-rutile MgTa_(2)O_(6)ceramics in this *** good low-firing effects are presented due to the high matching relevance between Li_(2)O-MgO-ZnO-B_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)glass and MgTa_(2)O_(6)*** pure tri-rutile MgTa_(2)O_(6)structure remains unchanged,and high sintering compactness can also be achieved at 1150℃.We found that the Li_(2)O-MgO-ZnO-B_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)glass not only greatly improves the low-temperature sintering characteristics of MgTa_(2)O_(6)ceramics but also maintains a high(quality factor(q)×resonance frequency(f))value while still improving the temperature ***,great microwave dielectric characteristics when added with 2wt%Li_(2)O-MgO-ZnO-B_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)glass can be achieved at 1150℃:dielectric constant,ε_(r)=26.1;q×f=34267 GHz;temperature coefficient of resonance frequency,τ_(f)=-8.7×10^(-6)/℃.

An analytical model to estimate the time delay to reach spontaneous ignition considering heat loss in oil reservoirs

During air injection into an oil reservoir, an oxidation reaction generates some heat to raise the reservoir temperature. When the reservoir temperature reaches an ignition temperature, spontaneous ignition occurs. There is a time delay from the injection to ignition. There are mixed results regarding the feasibility of spontaneous ignition in real-field projects and in laboratory experiments. No analytical model is available in the literature to estimate the oxidation time required to reach spontaneous ignition with heat *** paper discusses the feasibility of spontaneous ignition from theoretical points and experimental and field project observations. An analytical model considering heat loss is proposed. Analytical models with and without heat loss investigate the factors that affect spontaneous ignition. Based on the discussion and investigations, we find that it is more difficult for spontaneous ignition to occur in laboratory experiments than in oil reservoirs; spontaneous ignition is strongly affected by the initial reservoir temperature, oil activity, and heat loss; spontaneous ignition is only possible when the initial reservoir temperature is high, the oil oxidation rate is high, and the heat loss is low.
