In this paper,we present an efficient computational methodology for diffusion and convection-diffusion problems in highly heterogeneous media as well as convection-dominated diffusion *** is well known that the numerical computation for these problems requires a significant amount of computermemory and ***,the solutions to these problems typically contain a coarse component,which is usually the quantity of interest and can be represented with a small number of degrees of *** are many methods that aim at the computation of the coarse component without resolving the full details of the *** proposed method falls into the framework of interior penalty discontinuous Galerkin method,which is proved to be an effective and accurate class of methods for numerical solutions of partial differential equations.A distinctive feature of our method is that the solution space contains two components,namely a coarse space that gives a polynomial approximation to the coarse component in the traditional way and a multiscale space which contains sub-grid structures of the solution and is essential to the computation of the coarse *** addition,stability of the method is *** numerical results indicate that the method can accurately capture the coarse behavior of the solution for problems in highly heterogeneous media as well as boundary and internal layers for convection-dominated problems.

香港特区非华语学生在使用中文学习其他科目时面临着学科和语言的双重障碍。对非华语学生而言,中文是他们的第二语言或外语,如果中文欠佳,势必影响学科知识的学习。本研究采用“内容与语言整合学习”的4Cs模式,为香港地区的非华语小学三年级学生设计了一套融合常识科内容的中文学习材料和框架,聚焦于小学常识科的六大学习范畴,展开跨学科协作模式,统整学科与中文作为第二语言的学习内容。创新的“中文+常识”课程旨在融合学科教育来提升学生中文水平,同时透过针对性语言教学深化学科知识的掌握。本研究的意义在于,首先让香港非华语中文教学突破单一的语言课堂,平衡“目标语言”和“工具语言”的教学,增强学生通过中文学习常识等其他学科的能力﹔其次,亦希望本课题可以抛砖引玉,为国际中文教育中“中文+其他学科”的教学模式提供香港地区经验。

As the most common internal modification of mRNA,Ne-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)and its regulators modulate gene expression and play critical roles in various biological and patholog-ical processes including *** was reported previously that m^(6)A methyltransferase(writer),methyltransferase-like 3(METTL3)adds m^(6)A in primary microRNAs(pri-miRNAs)and fa-cilitates its processing into precursor miRNAs(pre-miRNAs).However,it is unknown whether m^(6)A modification also plays a role in the maturation process of pre-miRNAs and(if so)whether such a function contributes to ***,we found that YTHDF2 is aberrantly overexpressed in acute myeloid leukemia(AML)patients,especially in relapsed patients,and plays an onco-genic role in ***,YTHDF2 promotes expression of miR-126-3p(also known as miR-126,as it is the main product of precursor miR-126(pre-miR-126)),a miRNA that was reported as an oncomiRNA in AML,through facilitating the processing of pre-miR-126 into mature ***,YTHDF2 recognizes m^(6)A modification in pre-miR-126 and recruits AGO2,a regulator of pre-miRNA processing,to promote the maturation of ***2 posi-tively and negatively correlates with miR-126 and miR-126's downstream target genes,respec-tively,in AML patients,and forced expression of miR-126 could largely rescue YTHDF2/Ythdf2 depletion-mediated suppression on AML cell growth/proliferation and leukemogenesis,indi-cating that miR-126 is a functionally important target of YTHDF2 in ***,our studies not only reveal a previously unappreciated YTHDF2/miR-126 axis in AML and highlight the ther-apeutic potential of targeting this axis for AML treatment,but also suggest that m^(6)A plays a role in pre-miRNA processing that contributes to tumorigenesis.

Successful polyethylene glycol fusion(pEG-fusion) of severed axons following peripheral nerve injuries for pEG-fused axons has been reported to:(1) rapidly restore electrophysiological continuity;(2) prevent distal Wallerian Degeneration and maintain their myelin sheaths;(3) promote primarily motor,voluntary behavioral recoveries as assessed by the Sciatic Functional Index;and,(4) rapidly produce correct and incorrect connections in many possible combinations that produce rapid and extensive recovery of functional peripheral nervous system/central nervous system connections and reflex(e.g.,toe twitch) or voluntary *** preceding companion paper describes sensory terminal field reo rganization following pEG-fusion repair of sciatic nerve transections or ablations;howeve r,sensory behavioral recovery has not been explicitly explored following pEG-fusion *** the current study,we confirmed the success of pEG-fusion surgeries according to criteria(1-3) above and more extensively investigated whether pEG-fusion enhanced mechanical nociceptive recovery following sciatic transection in male and female outbred Sprague-Dawley and inbred Lewis *** nociceptive responses were assessed by measuring withdrawal thresholds using von Frey filaments on the dorsal and midplantar regions of the *** von Frey filament tests were a more reliable method than plantar von Frey filament tests to assess mechanical nociceptive sensitivity following sciatic nerve *** withdrawal thresholds of the sciatic-mediated lateral dorsal region differed significantly across strain but not *** thresholds did not change significantly from baseline in chronic Unoperated and Sham-operated *** sciatic transection,all rats exhibited severe hyposensitivity to stimuli at the lateral dorsal region of the hindpaw ipsilateral to the ***,pEG-fused rats exhibited significantly earlier return to baseline withdrawal thresholds than N

Atomic evolutions in a single atom laser system are studied for different preparations of the initial atomic state and cavity field. Both the analytical and the numerical results are in very good agreement with the experiment carried out by Brune et al. [phys. Rev. Lett. 76 (1996) 1800], if we choose the same parameters as the experiment. The research justified that the spontaneous emission rates are enhanced in the high-Q cavity.

Treatment of Ru(CO)(Cl)(H)(pph3)3 with NaLOEt (LOEt-= [CpCo{p(O)(OEt)2}3]-) afforded the hydride complex (pph3)(CO)-LOEtRu(H) (1), which has been characterized by X-ray crystallography. Similarly, the tricyclohexylphosphine analogue, (pCy3)(CO)LOEtRu(H) (2), was synthesized from Ru(CO)Cl(H)(pCy3)2 and NaLOEt. Treatment of complex 1 with R'SO2N3 afforded the (arylsulfonyl)amido complexes LOEtRu(CO)(pph3)(NHSO2R) (R = 2,4,6-i-pr3C6H2 (3), 4-t-BuC6H4 (4)). The crystal structure of complex 3 has been determined. The Ru-N distance and Ru-N-S angle in 3 are 2.076(3) and 126.14(16)°, respectively. Reactions of complex 1 with acids have been studied.
