Many empirical and analytical methods have been proposed to predict fracturing pressure in cohesive *** of them take into account three to four specific influencing factors and rely on the assumption of a failure *** this study,a novel data-mining approach based on the XGBoost algorithm is investigated for predicting fracture initiation in cohesive *** has the advantage of handling multiple influencing factors simultaneously,without pre-determining a failure mode.A dataset of 416 samples consisting of 14 distinct features was herein collected from past studies,and used for develop.ng a regressor and a classifier model for fracturing pressure prediction and failure mode classification *** results show that the intrinsic characteristics of the soil govern the failure mode while the fracturing pressure is more sensitive to the stress *** XGBoost-based model was also tested against conventional approaches,as well as a similar machine learning algorithm namely random forest ***,several large-scale triaxial fracturing tests and an in-situ case study were carried out to further verify the generalization ability and applicability of the proposed data mining approach,and the results indicate a superior performance of the XGBoost model.

Influenza A virus nucleoprotein (Np) forms homo-oligomers and multiple copies of Np wrap around genomic RNA, along with a trimeric polymerase making up ribonucleoprotein (RNp) complex. Sequence comparison of more than 2500 influenza A Np showed that this protein contains 30.1 % of polymorphic residues. Np is composed of a head and a body domain and a tail loop/ linker region. The head domain is more conserved than the body domain, as revealed from the structure-based sequence alignment. Np oligomerization is mediated by the insertion of the non-polymorphic and structurally conserved tail loop of one Np molecule to a groove of another Np. The different form of Np oligomers is due to the flexibility of the polymorphic linkers that join the tail loop to the rest of the protein. The RNA binding property of Np is known to involve the protruding element and the flexible basic loop between the head and body domains, both having high degree of primary sequence conservation. To bind RNA, Np may first capture the RNA by the flexible basic loop and then the RNA is clamped by the protruding element.

We aim to evaluate prostate health index as an additional risk-stratification tool in patients with prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System score 3 lesions on multiparametric magnetic resonance *** with biochemical or clinical suspicion of having prostate cancer who underwent multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging in two tertiary centers(Queen Mary Hospital and princess Margaret Hospital,Hong Kong,China)between January 2017 and June 2022 were ***-magnetic resonance imaging fusion biopsies were performed after prostate health index *** who only had prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System score 3 lesions were further stratified into four prostate health index risk groups and the cancer detection rates were *** of the 747 patients,47.3%had prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System score 3 lesions *** detection rate of clinically significant prostate cancer in this group was 15.0%.The cancer detection rates of clinically significant prostate cancer had statistically significant differences:5.3%in prostate health indexprostate health index 25.0-34.9,17.9%in prostate health index 35.0-54.9,and 52.6%in prostate health index≥55.0(png the patients,26.9%could have avoided a biopsy with a prostate health indexpense of a 5.3%risk of missing clinically significant prostate *** health index could be used as an additional risk stratification tool for patients with prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System score 3 *** could be avoided in patients with low prostate health index,with a small risk of missing clinically significant prostate cancer.

Monomers with low symmetries can form different topological structures in the preparation of organic two-dimensional(2D)***,it remains challenging to modulate the topologies in practical *** theoretical insights into the formation energy of potential structural configurations,we report the topology modulation of a graphdiyne(GDY)derivative constructed from two-fold symmetric tetrakis(4-ethynylphenyl)ethene precursor by changing solvent combinations in a liquid-liquid interfacial *** aqueous-organic(water-dichloromethane)interface afforded GDY with a kagome topology while a rhombic topology was formed at an organic-organic(hexane-acetonitrile)interface.A comprehensive evaluation of their structures and optoelectronic properties was conducted through various characterization techniques and theoretical *** study provided new insights to modulate the topology of not only GDY but also other framework structures and obtain topologically pure materials in situations where different topologies are possible during practical synthesis.

The oyster mushroom(pleurotus spp.)is one of the most widely cultivated mushroom species *** present study investigated the effect of synbiotics on the growth and quality of pleurotus ostreatus and pleurotus *** synbiotics formulations were applied by spraying mushroom samples daily and measuring their growth parameters,yield,biological efficiency,proximate composition,mineral content,total phenolic content(TpC),and diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl(DppH)radical scavenging *** demonstrated that the most significant yield of oyster mushrooms was harvested from synbiotics sprayed with inulin and Lactobacillus casei(56.92 g).Likewise,the highest biological efficiency obtained with a similar synbiotic was 12.65%.Combining inulin and *** was the most effective method of improving the mushrooms'growth performance and nutrient content in both ***,synbiotics that combined inulin and *** resulted in the highest TpC(20.550 mg gallic acid equivalent(GAE)/g dry extract(DE))in white oyster mushrooms(***).In comparison,in grey mushroom(***)the highest TpC was yielded by ***(1.098 mg GAE/g DE)followed by inulin and ***(1.079 mg GAE/g DE).The DppH results indicated that the oyster mushroom could be an efficient *** results revealed that applying synbiotics improved the mushrooms'quality by increasing their antioxidant capacity with higher amounts of phenolic compounds and offering better health benefits with the increased levels of mineral ***,these studies demonstrated the potential of using synbiotics as a biofertilizer,which is helpful for mushroom cultivation;therefore,it might solve the challenge of inconsistent quality mushroom growers face.
