This paper investigated the buoyancy and surface tension-driven ferro-thermal-convection (FTC) in a ferrofluid (FF) layer due to influence of general boundary conditions. The lower surface is rigid with insulating to temperature perturbations, while the upper surface is stress-free and subjected to general thermal boundary condition. The numerically Galerkin technique (GT) and analytically regular perturbation technique (RpT) are applied for solving the problem of eigenvalue. It is analyzed that increasing Biot number, decreases the magnetic and Marangoni number is to postponement the onset. Additionally, magnetization nonlinearity parameter has no effect on FTC in the non-existence of Biot number. The results under the limiting cases are found to be in good agreement with those available in the literature.

perforations, leaks and fistula involving gastrointestinal(GI) tract are increasing encountered in clinical practice. There is a changing paradigm for their management with surgical approach being replaced by conservative approach including endoscopic therapy. Clips(through the scope and over the scope) and covered stent are front runners for endotherapy for GI leaks and *** the scope clips introduced recently, can treat larger defects compared to through the scope clips. Covered stents are suited for larger defects and those associated with luminal narrowing. However cervical esophagus, gastro-esophageal junction, stomach and right colonic lesions may be better for clip therapy rather than stenting. Recent developments in this field include use of endovac therapy which consists of a sponge with suction device, biodegradable stent, use of fibrin glue and some endo-suturing device. Conservative therapy with no surgical or endoscopic intervention, may be suitable for a small subset of patients. An algorithm based on location, size of defect, associated stricture, infection and available expertise needs to be developed to reduce the mortality and morbidity of this difficult clinical problem.

Effect of Low Level Subchronic Microwave Radiation on Rat Brain

Objective The present study was designed to investigate the effects of subchronic low level microwave radiation （MWR） on cognitive function, heat shock protein 70 （HSp70） level and DNA damage in brain of Fischer rats. Methods Experiments were performed on male Fischer rats exposed to microwave radiation for 90 days at three different frequencies： 900, 2800, and 2450 MHz. Animals were divided into 4 groups： Group I： Sham exposed, Group I1： animals exposed to microwave radiation at 900 MHz and specific absorption rate （SAR） 5.953 x 10-4 W/kg, Group II1： animals exposed to 1800 MHz at SAR 5.835 x 20-4 W/kg and Group IV： animals exposed to 2450 MHz at SAR 6.672 x 10-4 W/kg. All the animals were tested for cognitive function using elevated plus maze and Morris water maze at the end of the exposure period and subsequently sacrificed to collect brain tissues. HSp70 levels were estimated by ELISA and DNA damage was assessed using alkaline comet assay. Results Microwave exposure at 900-2450 MHz with SAR values as mentioned above lead to decline in cognitive function, increase in HSp70 level and DNA damage in brain. Conclusion The results of the present study suggest that low level microwave exposure at frequencies 900, 2800, and 2450 MHz may lead to hazardous effects on brain.

AIM:To find out the association of secreted protein acidic and rich in cysteine(SpARC)-related modular calcium binding 2(SMOC2)gene variants rs2255680 and rs13208776 with genotypic and phenotypic characteristics in both familial and non-familial primary open angle glaucoma(pOAG)***:A total of 212 pOAG patients,comprising 124 familial and 88 non-familial,were *** genotyping the SMOC2 variant rs2255680,amplification refractory mutation system(ARMS)-polymerase chain reaction(pCR)method and pCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism(pCR-RFLp)were utilized for analyzing rs13208776 ***:The mean age of familial pOAG patients was 50.92±9.12y,with 78 males and 46 *** mean age of non-familial pOAG patients was 53.14±13.44y,with 52 males and 36 *** SMOC2 gene variant rs13208776 showed the significant association with pOAG between familial and non-familial *** homozygous G/G variant was frequent among non-familial(60.2%)whereas the heterozygous G/A variant was more frequent in familial pOAG patients(46%).There were significant differences in G/A variant between familial and non-familial glaucoma patients,and the risk was decreased to 0.53-fold in non-familial glaucoma patients[odds ratio(OR):0.53;95%confidence interval(CI):0.29-0.94;p=0.033]in codominant *** risk was further reduced to 0.49-fold(95%CI:0.28-0.86;p=0.012)in dominant model for non-familial *** significant association of SMOC2 gene variant rs2255680 between familial and non-familial glaucoma patients was found in our *** haplotype analysis showed the decreased risk for TA[OR:0.48(95%CI:0.29-0.79);p=0.004]and an increased risk for TG[OR=2.28(95%CI:1.22-4.25);p=0.01]***:Current findings show significant association of SMOC2 gene variant rs13208776 with pOAG between familial and non-familial pakistani patients.

Actinorhizal plants contain numerous antioxidants that may play a crucial role in preventing the formation of tumors.H-Ras p21,a member of the Ras-GTpase family,is a promising target to treat various kinds of *** in silico docking study was carried out to identify the inhibitory potential of compounds of these plants against H-Ras by using Discovery Studio 3.5 and by using Autodock *** studies revealed that four compounds,isorhamnetin-7-rhamnoside,quercetin-3-glucoside-7-rhamnoside（present in ***）,zeaxanthin,and translutein（present in ***） significantly bind with binding energies-17.1534,-14.7936,-10.2105 and-17.2217 Kcal/mol,respectively,even though they slightly deviate from Lipinski＇s ***,distribution,metabolism,excretion and toxicity（ADME/tox） analyses of these compounds and their stereoisomers showed that they were less toxic and *** them,isorhamntein-7-rhamnoside showed ***,these compounds can be further investigated in vivo to optimize their formulation and concentration and to develop potential chemical entities for the prevention and treatment of cancers.
