pyricularia oryzae anamorph of Magnaporthe oryzae is one of the most notorious fungal pathogens causing severe economic loss in rice production worldwide. Various methods, viz. cultural, biological and molecular approaches, are utilized to counteract this pathogen. Moreover, some tolerant or resistant rice varieties have been developed with the help of breeding programmes. Isolation and molecular characterization of different blast resistance genes now open the gate for new possibilities to elucidate the actual allelic variants of these genes via various molecular breeding and transgenic approaches. However, the behavioral pattern of this fungus breakups the resistance barriers in the resistant or tolerant rice varieties. This host-pathogen barrier will be possibly countered in future research by comparative genomics data from available genome sequence data of rice and M. oryzae for durable resistance. present review emphasized fascinating recent updates, new molecular breeding approaches, transgenic and genomics approaches(i.e. mi RNA and genome editing) for the management of blast disease in rice. The updated information will be helpful for the durable, resistance breeding programme in rice against blast pathogen.

In this paper an argon filled coaxial dielectric barrier discharge （DBD） has been studied to understand the detail of power transfer from a unipolar square pulse to plasma during discharge. A dielectric barrier discharge based diffuse pulse discharge and its electrical charac-teristics are investigated. A quartz coaxial DBD tube filled at different pressures is used in the experiment. A unipolar pulse voltage of different peak voltages and frequencies has been applied to the discharge electrodes for the generation of microdischarges. Two current pulses are used for two consecutive discharges per applied voltage pulse. The second discharge, which occurs at the falling flank of the voltage pulse, is induced by the charges stored on the dielectric barrier during the first discharge. It has been deduced that the power supplied to ignite the first discharge is partly stored to ignite the second discharge when the applied voltage decays. This process ul- timately leads to much improved power transfer to the plasma. The knowledge obtained from dynamic processes of the DBDs in the discharge gap explains quantitatively the mechanism of ignition, development and extinction of the DBDs.

Staghorn calculi are branched stones which occupy a majority portion of the pelvicaliceal *** untreated staghorn calculus over time can damage the kidney and deteriorate its function and/or cause life threatening *** stone clearance is an important goal in order to eradicate any infective focus,relieve obstruction,prevent recurrence and preserve the kidney *** nephrolithotomy(pCNL)is currently the accepted first-line treatment option for staghorn *** options available are single-tract pCNL with an auxiliary procedure like shockwave lithotripsy,single-tract pCNL with flexible nephroscopy,or multitract *** has its own pros and *** the ultimate goal of treatment for any patient with staghorn calculi should be safety,cost-effectiveness,and to achieve total stone *** this article,we review the management of staghorn calculi with multiple percutaneous(“multitract”)access,its advantages and disadvantages and its current position by studying the various published materials across the globe.

Thermal decomposition and kinetics of plastic bonded explosives based on mixture of HMX and TATB with polymer matrices

This work describes thermal decomposition behaviour of plastic bonded explosives(pBXs) based on mixture of 1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane(HMX) and 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-trinitrobenzene(TATB)with Viton A as polymer binder. Thermal decomposition of pBXs was undertaken by applying simultaneous thermal analysis(STA) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) to investigate influence of the HMX amount on thermal behavior and its kinetics. Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) indicated that the thermal decomposition of pBXs based on mixture of HMX and TATB was occurred in a three-steps. The first step was mainly due to decomposition of HMX. The second step was ascribed due to decomposition of TATB, while the third step was occurred due to decomposition of the polymer matrices. The thermal decomposition % was increased with increasing HMX amount. The kinetics related to thermal decomposition were investigated under non-isothermal for a single heating rate measurement. The variation in the activation energy of pBXs based on mixture of HMX and TATB was observed with varying the HMX amount. The kinetics from the results of TGA data at various heating rates under non-isothermal conditions were also calculated by Flynn—Wall—Ozawa(FWO) and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose(KAS)methods. The activation energies calculated by employing FWO method were very close to those obtained by KAS method. The mean activation energy calculated by FWO and KAS methods was also a good agreement with the activation energy obtained from single heating rate measurement in the first step decomposition.

Methanolic extract of Momordica cymbalaria enhances glucose uptake in L6 myotubes in vitro by up-regulating ppAR-γ and GLUT-4

The present study was undertaken to evaluate the influence of the methanolic fruit extract of Momordica cymbalaria （MFMC） on ppARγ, （peroxisome proliferator Activated Receptor gamma） and GLUT-4 （Glucose transporter-4） with respect to glucose transport. Various concentrations of MFMC ranging from 62.5 to 500 μg·mL^-1 were evaluated for glucose uptake activity in vitro using L6 myotubes, rosiglitazone was used as a reference standard. The MFMC showed significant and dose-dependent increase in glucose uptake at the tested concentrations, further, the glucose uptake activity of MFMC （500 μg·mL^-1） was comparable with rosigilitazone. Furthermore, MFMC has shown up-regulation of GLUT-4 and ppARy gene expressions in L6 myotubes. In addition, the MFMC when incubated along with cycloheximide （CHX）, which is a protein synthesis inhibitor, has shown complete blockade of glucose uptake. This indicates that new protein synthesis is required for increased GLUT-4 translocation. In conclusion, these findings suggest that MFMC is enhancing the glucose uptake significantly and dose dependently through the enhanced expression of ppARμ and GLUT-4 in vitro.

Deep learning has reached many successes in Video *** has become a growing important part of our daily digital *** advancement of better resolution content and the large volume offers serious challenges to the goal of receiving,distributing,compressing and revealing highquality video *** this paper we propose a novel Effective and Efficient video compression by the Deep Learning framework based on the flask,which creatively combines the Deep Learning Techniques on Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)and Generative Adversarial Networks(GAN).The video compression method involves the layers are divided into different groups for data processing,using CNN to remove the duplicate frames,repeating the single image instead of the duplicate images by recognizing and detecting minute changes using GAN and recorded with Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM).Instead of the complete image,the small changes generated using GAN are substituted,which helps with frame-level *** wise comparison is performed using K-nearest Neighbours(KNN)over the frame,clustered with K-means and Singular Value Decomposition(SVD)is applied for every frame in the video for all three colour channels[Red,Green,Blue]to decrease the dimension of the utility matrix[R,G,B]by extracting its latent *** frames are packed with parameters with the aid of a codec and converted to video format and the results are compared with the original *** experiments on several videos with different sizes,duration,Frames per second(FpS),and quality results demonstrated a significant resampling *** normal,the outcome delivered had around a 10%deviation in quality and over half in size when contrasted,and the original video.

Objective:To investigate the interaction of p53 with docetaxel and berberine and their anticancer activities against oral squamous cell ***:The interaction between p53 with docetaxel and berberine was investigated and their mechanisms of action against oral squamous cell carcinoma were *** studies were performed to determine any toxic impact of the drugs on the vital organs of tested ***:In silico results revealed the molecular interaction of docetaxel and berberine with p53 and the molecules were found to be potential p53 *** and berberine inhibited the proliferation of cancer cells in a concentration-dependent *** cytometry analysis revealed that docetaxel and berberine at IC50 concentrations upregulated the expression of p53 in oral squamous cell carcinoma cells,thus triggering apoptotic cell *** addition,no toxicity was observed in the liver and kidney tissues of mice after docetaxel and berberine ***:Docetaxel and berberine significantly suppressed the proliferation of oral cancer cells by activating p53 expression and causing apoptotic cell *** compounds can be potential agents for the treatment of oral cancer,with little to no toxicity at the tissue level.

Human-elephant conflict(HEC)in India is becoming a growing health problem causing many fatalities every *** produce injuries by trampling,stomping,squeezing,tossing in the air,or crushing/targeting the head and chest *** adult elephants are most aggressive in their mating season,leading to maximum incidences of HECs in this *** attacks are mostly unprovoked,though most HECs are *** this case series,the authors described the injuries sustained by three survivors in a short span of one month due to the sudden and unprovoked elephant *** the injuries were mild to moderate in severity and involved the chest in *** rescue and prompt initiation of treatment were pivotal in their *** authors also want to create awareness about the mating season of elephants to minimize these unfortunate events in the future.

Through a bioreplication approach, we have fabricated artificial visual decoys for the invasive species Agrilus planipen- nis--commonly known as the Emerald Ash Borer （EAB）. The mating behavior of this species involves an overflying EAB male pouncing on an EAB female at rest on an ash leaflet before copulating. The male spots the female on the leaflet by visually detecting the iridescent green color of the female＇s elytra. As rearing EAB and then deploying dead females as decoys for trapping is both arduous and inconvenient, we decided to fabricate artificial decoys. We used a dead female to make a negative die of nickel and a positive die of epoxy. Decoys were then made by first depositing a quarter-wave-stack Bragg reflector on a polymer sheet and then stamping it with a pair of matched negative and positive dies to take the shape of the upper surface of an EAB female. As nearly 100 artificial decoys were fabricated from just one EAB female, this bioreplication process is industrially scalable. preliminary results from a field trapping test are indicative of success.
