A major concern from the scientific community has been raised since evidence of Bisphenol A(Bp-A)can leach out from the products where they are incorporated as well as its endocrine disrupting effects observed in animals and ***-A and several related chemicals such as Bisphenol Ap(Bp-Ap),Bisphenol B(BpeB),Bisphenol S(BpeS),Bisphenol AF(Bp-AF),Bisphenol(Bpep),Bisphenol Z(Bp-Z)were analyzed in this ***-A and Bp-S were the only bisphenols detected in the samples analyzed in this *** median(range;mean)concentrations of Bp-A found in this study was 321 ng/g(11-200932;4893 ng/g).The analysis was carried out by sonicating 0.1 g of a cryo-milled sample aliquot in methanol followed by UpLC-mS/mS *** concentrations of Bp-A were found in several products labeled as Bp-A free such as nursing bottles which are particularly problematic from the children's exposure point of *** study presents the first reliable bisphenols in children's toys and baby products commercialized in the middle *** is,however,a need to continue monitoring these compounds,especially in low-cost toys,and the so-called Bp-A-free products,which appear to have high levels of target contaminants and can pose an exposure risk for infants and children in the region.

Objective: The present work tested organic solvents to prepare an extract with anticancer properties from a polyherbal mixture containing Nigella sativa(seeds), Hemidesmus indicus(roots) and Smilax glabra(rhizomes). We evaluate anticancer effects in non-small-cell lung cancer cells(NCI-H292), and discuss optimization for pharmaceutical use in the context of efficacy, yield and ***: Using different organic solvents, six extracts were prepared from the polyherbal mixture. Based on the cytotoxic effects of these extracts on NCI-H292 cells and normal lung cells(mRC-5), as evaluated by the sulphorhodamine B assay, the total ethyl acetate(T-EA) extract was selected for further *** possible anticancer mechanisms were assessed by evaluating the extract’s effects on apoptosis(through fluorescent microscopic analysis, DNA fragmentation analysis, caspase 3/7 assay and analysis of expression levels of apoptosis-related genes p53, Bax, survivin, Hsp70 and Hsp90), colony formation and antioxidant ***: The extract had cytotoxic effects against NCI-H292 cells in a time-and dose-dependent *** antioxidant activity and inhibition of colony formation were also observed. Energy conversion technologies like fuel cells and metal-air batteries require oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalysts with low cost and high catalytic ***,N-doped carbon spheres(N-CS)with rich micropore structure have been synthesized by a facile two-step method,which includes the polymerization of pyrrole and formaldehyde and followed by a facile pyrolysis *** the preparation,zinc chloride(ZnCl2)was utilized as a catalyst to promote polymerization and provide a hypersaline *** addition,the morphology,defect content and activity area of the resultant N-CS catalysts could be regulated by controlling the content of *** optimum N-CS-1 catalyst demonstrated much better catalytic activity and durability towards ORR in alkaline conditions than commercial 20 wt%pt/C catalysts,of which the half-wave potential reached 0.844 V *** applied in the Zn-air batteries as cathode catalysts,N-CS-1 showed a maximum power density of 175 mW cm^(-2) and long-term discharging stability of over 150 h at 10 mA cm^(-2),which outperformed 20 wt%pt/*** excellent performance could be due to its ultrahigh specific surface area of 1757 m2 g1 and rich micropore channels ***,this work provides an efficient method to synthesize an ultrahigh surface porous carbon material,especially for catalyst application.

Studies on Acid Leaching methods for Fine metal powder production

Two different processes (i) alloying followed by selective leaching of alloying constituent and (ii) controlled chemical attack of oversize powder stock were studied in some detail to assess their suitability for metal powder production. In a typical series of experiments on the alloying process, titanium, zirconium and nickel were alloyed with aluminium. The sample was then leached out with acid to yield the metals in powder form. The metal powders generally had a particle size spread in the range of m. The acid concentration and contact time were varied and both have influences on particle size of the final product. In the second process involving chemical attack of coarse powder, it is shown by taking the example of nickel that a range of particle size could be generated through close control of acid concentration and contact time.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

Targeted therapies are gaining global attention to tackle Renal Cancer(RC).This study aims to screen FpmXY-14(novel arylidene analogue)for Akt inhibition by computational and in vitro ***-14 was subjected to proton NmR analysis and mass spectrum ***,HEk-293,Caki-1,and A498 cell lines were *** enzyme inhibition was studied with the fluorescent-based kit *** 9.19,Schrodinger 2018-1,Ligprep module,and Glide docking were used in computational *** nuclear status was assessed by pI/Hoechst-333258 staining,cell cycle,and apoptosis assays were performed using flow *** wound and migrations assays were *** blotting was applied to study key signalling ***-14 selectively inhibited kidney cancer cell proliferation with GI50 values of 77.5 nm and 101.40 nm in Caki-1 cells and A-498 cells,*** compound dose-dependently inhibited Akt enzyme with an IC50 value of 148.5 nm and bound efficiently at the allosteric pocking of the Akt when computationally ***-14 caused nuclear condensation/fragmentation,increased the sub G_(0)/G_(1),G_(2)m populations,and induced early,late phase apoptosis in both cells when compared to *** of the compound inhibited wound healing and migration of tumor cells,while proteins like Bcl-2,Bax,and caspase 3 were also ***-14 effectively inhibited the phosphorylation of Akt in these cancer cells,while total Akt was ***-14 exhibited anti-proliferative and anti-metastatic activities in kidney cancer cells by attenuating the Akt *** pre-clinical research on animals with a detailed pathway elucidation is recommended.
