大多数的岩土材料,像土、石材和许多建筑材料,都存在着复杂的多层次孔隙结构,其孔隙尺寸一般从纳米级到宏观尺度不等。要优化这些材料的性能,一个关键因素就是如何表征和控制其多尺度的孔隙结构。以前的技术无法研究长度范围在0.1nm到几百nm之间的三维空间结构,而采用高分辨率的软X射线显微镜可以弥补这个缺陷,并集中展示其在胶凝材料研究中的应用。

In this study,the flocculation and the subsequent decantation step of mixed suspensions of 10 nm-sizedγ-Fe_(2)O_(3) magnetic nanoparticles and 500 nm-sized beidellite clay platelets was *** work may find application in the field of water treatment,specifically the flocculation processes with magnetically assisted *** a short description of the preparation and characterization of the raw materials(nanoparticles and clays),the influence of several parameters(pH,concentrations of nanoparticles and clays etc.)on the amount of flocculated materials was examined,which gave information on the concentration ranges allowing a complete flocculation,together with a better understanding on the interactions between nanoparticles and clays responsible for *** optimal conditions for magnetically assisted settling were then determined by comparing for each sample sedimentation velocities under gravity and in the presence of a Nd-Fe-B ***,the complex multiscale structure of the flocs in water was explored,through the measurement of several bulk properties(zeta-potential and volume measurements,laser granulometry),while the organization of the materials at a microscopic scale was investigated by cryo-transmission electron microscopy(cryo-TEM)and small-angle X-ray scattering(SAXS).

Background:Independence from all optical aids,and freedom from unwanted symptoms,following cataract and lens surgery remains the ultimate goal of both patient and *** development of trifocal IOL technology provides an ever-increasing range of *** purpose of our study is to understand the predictability,safety and efficacy of a new trifocal intraocular lens(IOL)following cataract or refractive lens exchange(RLE)***:This was a retrospective consecutive case series of patients undergoing cataract extraction or RLE followed by implantation of the Alcon IQ panoptix *** and postoperative refractive and visual parameters were recorded and *** the cohort followed a normal distribution,standard parametric tests were *** t-test was used to compare the difference between target and postoperative refractive *** incidence of intraoperative and postoperative complications was also ***:The IOL was implanted in 66 eyes of 33 *** postoperative spherical equivalent(SE)refraction was-0.08±0.25 dioptres(D).This was not significantly different from the target refraction(p=0.841).Sixty-five percent of patients were within±0.25 D of the target SE refraction with 100%within±0.50 D of intended *** postoperative uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA)was 0.01±0.10 *** patients achieved an unaided distance acuity of 20/40 or better ***,100%saw 0.20 LogMAR or better at near without correction and 88.9%achieved this level for uncorrected intermediate visual *** intraoperative complications were *** patients complained of moderate haloes in the early postoperative ***:The AcrySof IQ panoptix IOL provides functional uncorrected visual acuity at distance,intermediate and near *** results remain equivalent with existing trifocal IOL outcomes and provide surgeons with a further IOL alternative for the patient motivated to obtain true spectacl

Radiation retinopathy can present many years after the application of either brachytherapy or teletherapy to the head or neck. If severe, it drastically reduces visual acuity due to macular ischemia or edema. This is the first article, to the author's knowledge, to document the use of optical coherence tomography in the assessment of radiation-induced maculopathy.
