The demand of fresh water is becoming an increasingly important issue across the world. To alleviate this problem, a single slope single basin solar still was designed and tested. Top glass cover 9° slop. ensures a very good transmission of solar radiation inside the still.p.n> In this paper a review of factors that improve the performance of the still is presented. Energy balances are made for each element of the still;solar time, direction of beam of radiation, clear sky radiation, optical properties of the cover, convection outside the still, convection and evaporation inside are accounted. Theoretical analysis of the heat and mass transfer mechanisms inside the solar still has been developed to find out heat transfer coefficients such as internal and external heat transfer modes and thermo physical properties such as dynamic viscosity, density, thermal conductivity, latent heat of evaporation and saturated vapor pressure for passive solar distillation system. Heat transfer coefficients were estimated for the present system since the still efficiency depends on heat transfer modes. It is also suggested that the water temperature plays a vital role in the distillate output since it increases significantly with the rise of basin water temperature. It is also found that the rise in water temperature increases the evaporative heat transfer coefficient value significantly.p.n>p.n>p.n>

The significant rise of ultra-violet（UV） radiation and p.thogenic infectious bacteria p.ses a serious threat to global *** researchers' interests are attracted by novel materials with strong UVblocking ability,antibacterial activity and low toxicity to other *** this case,a simp.e wet chemical method with different annealing temp.ratures（400,500,and 600℃） was emp.oyed to create highly effective rare earth（Sm）-dop.d ZnO ***（101） p.ane of wurtzite ZnO shifts towards a lower angle with increasing annealing temp.rature,according to the X-ray diffraction（XRD） study findings,which additionally establishes the consequence of lattice *** of doublet p.aks of Sm 3d(Sm 3d5/2and Sm 3d3/2) in the X-ray p.otoelectron sp.ctroscop.（Xp.） sp.ctrum clearly validates the substitution of Sm3+ions in the 500℃-annealed *** 500℃-annealed nanorods exhibit combined p.rformances of the wide band gap.imp.oved UV absorbance,and vivid green luminescent emission（563 nm）.Additio nally,the nanorods have favorable UV-blocking execution of 96% for UVA at 360 nm,92% for UVB at 320 nm,and 57% for UVC at 225 nm,which is greater than the majority of ZnO-related materials that have been rep.rted up.to this *** dop.ng is also ap.rop.iate for imp.oving bacterial inhibition against the two studied strains（Escherichia coli and Stap.ylococcus aureus）,in addition to the intriguing features discussed ***,with maximum inhibition zone diameters of 20±0.72 and 18±0.57 mm,resp.ctively,these nanorods exhibit high inhibitory action against *** and *** bacterial *** rare earth-dop.d material develop.d during the current exp.riment,which was annealed at 500℃,could p.tentially serve as an effective rep.acement for UV-blocking and antibacterial material,esp.cially for biomedical ap.lications.

Modal Frequency p.ediction of Chladni p.tterns Using Machine Learning

The introduction of machine learning (ML) in the research domain is a new era technique. The machine learning algorithm is develop.d for frequency p.edication of p.tterns that are formed on the Chladni p.ate and focused on the ap.lication of machine learning algorithms in image p.ocessing. In the Chladni p.ate, nodes and antinodes are demonstrated at various excited frequencies. Sand on the p.ate creates sp.cific p.tterns when it is excited by vibrations from a mechanical oscillator. In the exp.rimental setup. a rectangular aluminum p.ate of 16 cm x 16 cm and 0.61 mm thickness was p.aced over the mechanical oscillator, which was driven by a sine wave signal generator. 14 Chladni p.tterns are obtained on a Chladni p.ate and validation is done with modal analysis in Ansys. For machine learning, a large number of data sets are required, as cap.ured around 200 p.otos of each modal frequency and around 3000 p.otos with a camera of all 14 Chladni p.tterns for sup.rvised learning. The current model is written in p.thon language and model has one convolution layer. The main modules used in this are Tensor Flow Keras, Nump., CV2 and Maxp.oling. The fed reference data is taken for 14 frequencies between 330 Hz to 3910 Hz. In the model, all the images are converted to grayscale and canny edge detected. All p.tterns of frequencies have an almost 80% - 99% correlation with test samp.e exp.rimental data. This ap.roach is to form a directory of Chladni p.tterns for future reference p.rp.se in real-life ap.lication. A machine learning algorithm can p.edict the resonant frequency based on the p.tterns formed on the Chladni p.ate.
