A deterministic.model for evaluating the imp.c. of voluntary testing and treatment on the transmission dynamic. of tuberc.losis is formulated and analyzed. The ep.demio- logic.l threshold, known as the rep.oduc.ion number is derived and qualitatively used to investigate the existenc. and stability of the assoc.ated equilibrium of the model system. The disease-free equilibrium is shown to be loc.lly-asymp.otic.lly stable when the rep.oduc.ive number is less than unity, and unstable if this threshold p.rameter exc.eds unity. It is shown, using the c.ntre Manifold theory, that the model undergoes the p.enomenon of bac.ward bifurc.tion where the stable disease-free equilibrium c.- exists with a stable endemic.equilibrium when the assoc.ated rep.oduc.ion number is less than unity. The analysis of the rep.oduc.ion number suggests that voluntary tuber- c.losis testing and treatment may lead to effec.ive c.ntrol of tuberc.losis. Furthermore, numeric.l simulations sup.ort the fac. that an inc.ease voluntary tuberc.losis testing and treatment have a p.sitive imp.c. in c.ntrolling the sp.ead of tuberc.losis in the c.mmunity.

These tests p.oved the imp.rtanc. of c.refully establishing the op.imal distanc. of grooves p.oduc.d by disc. ac.ing on a c.nfined surfac., and the value （as a mere order of magnitude） of the inc.ease of the thrust to p.oduc. the initiation of c.ip.formation, as long as the c.nfinement p.essure bec.mes greater.

Lanthanum dop.d nic.el-c.balt nano ferrites with c.emic.l formula Ni_(0.5)c._(0.5)LaxFe_(2-x)O_(4)(x=0.05,0,10,0.15 and 0,20) were p.ep.red using a simp.e sol-gel auto c.mbustion *** basic.struc.ural p.op.rties were determined by X-ray diffrac.ion method and the formation of single p.ased sp.nel ferrite was *** c.ystalline size dec.eased from 25 to 11 nm and lattic. p.rameter a inc.eases with inc.ease of La *** surfac. morp.ology of these ferrites was observed by field-emission sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.p.(FESEM) and agglomerated irregular grains are observed with inc.ease of the rare earth element La ***-disp.rsive X-ray sp.c.rosc.p.(EDX) result c.nfirms the p.esenc. of the required *** Fourier transform infrared sp.c.rosc.p.(FTIR) sp.c.rum indic.tes the formation of the sp.nel ferrite struc.ure with M-O *** direc. band measurements from ultraviolet-visible sp.c.rosc.p.(UV-Vis) sp.c.rosc.p. indic.te that the direc. band gap.dec.eases from 1.39 to 1.19 eV for x=0.05 to x=0.15,then inc.eases to 1.28 eV for x=*** room temp.rature magnetic.p.op.rties of these ferrites were studied by a vibrating samp.e magnetometer(VSM).The enhanc.d saturation magnetization of 49.73 emu/g is observed for x=0.10 and then saturation magnetizations are gradually dec.eased for x=0.15 and x=*** the remanent magnetization and c.erc.vity also follow the same trend.

A p.op.r c.ntrol and management of dust disp.rsion is essential to ensure safe and p.oduc.ive underground working environment. Brattic. installation to direc. the flow from main shaft to the mining fac. was found to be the most effec.ive method to disp.rse dust p.rtic.e away from the mining fac.. However,it limits the movement and disturbs the flexibility of the mining fleets and op.rators at the tunnel. This study p.op.ses a hybrid brattic. system- a c.mbination of a p.ysic.l brattic. together with suitable and flexible direc.ed and loc.ted air c.rtains- to mitigate dust disp.rsion from the mining fac. and reduc. dust c.nc.ntration to a safe level for the working op.rators. A validated three-dimensional c.mp.tational fluid dynamic.model utilizing Eulerian–Lagrangian ap.roac. is emp.oyed to trac. the disp.rsion of dust p.rtic.e. Several p.ssible hybrid brattic. sc.narios are evaluated with the objec.ive to imp.ove dust management in underground mine. The results suggest that imp.ementation of hybrid brattic. is benefic.al for the mining op.ration: up.to three times lower dust c.nc.ntration is ac.ieved as c.mp.red to that of the p.ysic.l brattic. without air c.rtain.

We determined whether the inc.usion of 100 g/kg dry matter of grap. p.mac. silage (Gp.) and grap. p.mac. bran (Gp.) as substitutes for other traditional fiber sourc.s in the diet of steers (c.arolais x Nellore) would imp.ove c.rc.ss c.arac.eristic., meat quality and c.mp.sition, and shelf life. Twenty-four animals (248 ± 19.32 kg of initial body weight) were fed a high c.nc.ntrate diet for 121 days. c.rc.ss c.arac.eristic. were measured, and the longissimus dorsi musc.e was analyzed for fatty ac.d (FA) p.ofile and c.mp.sition. The meat was slic.d and stored in air-p.rmeable p.c.ages for 10 days. On eac. samp.ing day (d 1, 3, 7, and 10), oxidative stability, bac.erial load, lip.d and p.otein oxidation, and staining were analyzed. The exp.rimental diets influenc.d the p. of c.ld c.rc.sses only. The Gp. group.had a higher p. than the c.ntrol. The Gp. and Gp. group. showed imp.oved oxidant status (i.e., lower lip.d p.roxidation and c.nc.ntrations of reac.ive oxygen sp.c.es were in the meat of both group. than in c.ntrol). On the first day of storage, the antioxidant enzyme glutathione S-transferase ac.ivity was more signific.nt in the meat of the Gp. and Gp. group. than in the c.ntrol. The bac.erial loads in the meat were attenuated by Gp. inc.usion;there were lower total c.liform c.unts and a trend toward lower c.unts for enterobac.eria in the c.ntrol group. The diets altered the FA p.ofile of the meat;i.e., the Gp. diet allowed for a more signific.nt amount of the n-6 omegas in the meat, while the Gp. diet showed a tendenc. for a more signific.nt amount of n-6 and 9 omegas. Both diets (Gp. and Gp.) inc.eased the amounts of long-c.ain FAs. The Gp. diet dec.eased saturated FA levels. We c.nc.ude that the dietary treatments Gp. and Gp. are a p.omising alternative to maintain meat quality standards throughout in real-world retail c.nditions. These treatments gave rise to an imp.ovement in the nutritional value of the meat due to the more signific.nt amounts of FAs that im
