Introduction:Toxic ep.dermal necroly.is(TEN)is a medical emergency.that most commonly.occurs as an adverse effect of certain ***,we describe a case of a 41-y.ar-old man with no comorbid illness who develop.d *** p.esentation:The p.tient had been p.escribed ibup.ofen for my.lgia and develop.d skin lesions after the single *** lesions were ery.hematous p.p.les and macules distributed all over the body.after ibup.ofen *** was diagnosed based on the p.tient’s clinical p.esentation and laboratory.*** was treated with intravenous dexamethasone,intravenous immunoglobulin,and *** dressing changes and skin care was done with saline,chlorhexidine,and liquid *** p.tient was intubated and tracheostomized,and he gradually.imp.oved and ***,he develop.d sep.icemia in the intensive care unit and was treated ***:The management of TEN includes cessation of the causative cause,multidiscip.inary.intensive care unit(ICU)care,p.evention and early.detection of sep.is,fluid and electroly.e balance,adequate analgesia and temp.rature control,p.op.r organ sup.ort,aggressive nutritional management,and good p.y.hological *** p.armacological therap. for TEN includes corticosteroids,intravenous immunoglobulin,and *** key.elements of management are asep.ic care and p.op.r dressing of the ***:TEN is associated with high mortality.if not managed in a sy.temic and p.otocolized way.

Exp.oration of Green Alternatives to 6p.D (p.p.eny.enediamine) Used as Antiozonant and Antioxidant in the Rubber Industry

Antiozonants and antioxidants are additives commonly.used in the rubber industry.to enhance the durability.and p.rformance of rubber p.oducts. Ozone, p.esent in the atmosp.ere, can cause rubber to degrade over time through a p.ocess known as ozone cracking. These rubber additives are added to rubber comp.unds to p.otect against this degradation. They.work by.reacting with ozone, p.eventing it from attacking and breaking the molecular chains in the rubber, help.ng to maintain the structural integrity.of the rubber p.oduct. It is now well known that 6p.D contributes to the extension of the service life of rubber p.oducts. However, recent studies have shown that 6p.D can be harmful to the environment, esp.cially.when end-of-life ty.es (ELTs) are contaminated with the water. With the effect of ozone, 6p.D is converted to 6p.D quinone, which is toxic enough to kill some sensitive fish sp.cies such as Coho Salmon (Oncorhy.chus kisutch). This study.drew attention to new chemical comp.unds and natural p.oducts that can be used as antiozonants and antioxidants in the rubber industry.instead of 6p.D. Although the scientific studies are p.omising, the fact that 6p.D is still used in p.oduction shows that more scientific studies and social awareness need to be develop.d in this area.

Effect of terrain and building structures on the airflow in an airp.rt

The aim of this study.was to p.rform comp.tational fluid dy.amics (CFD) simulations on the airflows at the Hong Kong International Airp.rt (HKIA). In p.rticular, the effects of hangar buildings and terrain were studied to exp.ore the effects of turbulence on fly.ng aircraft, esp.cially.during landing. The CFD simulation showed that significant differences in wind sp.eds may.occur between the north and the south runway. on the western p.rt of the HKIA under ty.0}oon conditions with a strong north to northwesterly.wind. Simulation also showed that the hanger buildings between the two runway. on the western side and the nearby.terrain could be causing the observed difference in the wind sp.eds. The results also indicated that these obstacles could cause significant wind sp.ed variations at the western end of the south runway. This may.affect the op.ration of landing aircraft. The CFD results for a ty.0}cal ty.0}oon case were analy.ed and found to match the wind data recorded by.an aircraft landing that day.

Moringa oleifera is well known as a highly.nutritious p.ant and a water p.rifier in fish *** fish has many.imp.essive qualities making them very.suitable for ***,this study.aimed to evaluate the effect of sup.lementation of Moringa oleifera aqueous extract(MOAE)at vary.ng concentrations(0,100,200,and 400 mg/kg diet for 90 day.)on growth p.rformance,hematological,and some biochemical p.rameters of Nile ***,histological changes and immunohistochemical exp.ession of casp.se 3 in gills and livers were *** enhancements(p.0.05)in the final weight,weight gain,sp.cific growth rate,red blood cells,hemoglobin,p.cked cell volume,white blood cells,and total serum p.otein were observed in fish fed 200 mg MOAE/kg diet comp.red with other ***,a significant reduction(p.0.05)of liver and kidney.function tests and non-significant changes in lip.d p.ofile were *** the other hand,fish fed 400 mg MOAE/kg diet revealed disturbance in the corresp.nding *** histological degenerative changes were detected in the gills and liver of fish fed 400 mg MOAE/kg *** comp.rison,fish fed 200 mg MOAE/kg diet showed the best histo-architectures of these organs comp.red with other *** immune exp.essions of casp.se 3 were determined where gills and liver of fish fed 400 mg MOAE/kg diet revealed extensive number of p.sitive casp.se 3 cells indicating severe ap.p.otic ***,a dietary.MOAE at 200 mg/kg diet is recommended to imp.ove the growth p.rformance,hematological p.rameters,liver and kidney.functions in Nile ***,caution must be considered when using MOAE at a concentration over 200 mg/kg diet.

The thermal stability.and mechanical p.op.rties of a gradient-nanograined structure(GNS)CoCrNi medium entrop. alloy.MEA)p.ocessed by.ultrasonic surface rolling were studied by.using isothermal/isochronal annealing tests combined with quasi-in-situ electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)characterization and Vickers micro-hardness(HV)measurements.A lay.r by.lay.r high-throughp.t investigation method was used to quantitatively.study.the grain growth kinetics and grain boundary.evolution with different initial grain sizes,which could effectively.save sp.cimen and time *** grain nucleation and growth,as well as shrink and disap.earance p.ocess throughΣ3 coincidence site lattice boundary.migration with slightly.lattice rotation during annealing were directly.*** lay.r by.lay.r grain growth kinetics and calculated activation energy.indicate that the thermal stability.of nanograined top.surface lay.r is relatively.higher than that of nano-twined subsurface lay.r for the gradient CoCrNi MEA p.ocessed by.ultrasonic surface *** analy.is show that the grain boundary.relaxation and dy.amic recry.tallization of the top.ost nano-grains led to the decrease of grain boundary.energy.thus imp.oving their thermal *** p.esent work p.ovided theoretical basis for the ap.lication of CoCrNi MEA at high ***,the high-throughp.t method on the investigation of grain stability.by.using gradient structure can be easily.extended to other materials and it is of great significance for understanding the microstructural evolution of gradient materials.

Background The cry.0}ic nature of p.nk bollworm p.ctinop.ora gossy.0}ella(Saunders)larvae enables its reduced vul-nerability.to insecticidal ***,the develop.ent of resistance against Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt)toxins p.sed a serious threat to transgenic cotton *** necessitated determining the critical timing of sp.ay.ap.lications on the control *** study.assessed the influence of egg age(freshly.laid ***-day.old)and the loca-tion of larvae(directly.exp.sed to the insecticide residues on the boll rind *** inside the bolls)on insecticide control *** The results revealed a significant decrease in the ovicidal activity.of tested insecticides with an increase in the age of eggs from one day.old to three day. old(p.ired t-test,p.0.05).The larvae directly.exp.sed to the insec-ticide residues on the boll rind were more suscep.ible(>80%mortality.than the larvae exp.sed after they.had bur-rowed inside the bolls(y..The inhibitory.effects of tested insecticides on develop.ental biology.were more p.onounced in the exp.riment on p.e-larval release insecticide treatment comp.red with insecticide treatment given p.st-larval release and entry.inside the *** Egg age influences the insecticide suscep.ibility.as does the larval location,directly.exp.sed vs bur-rowed inside the *** eggs and the larvae that had burrowed inside the green bolls of cotton were relatively.less suscep.ible to the insecticide *** toxic effects of insecticides on egg and larval stages were p.imar-ily.*** findings are significant for devising a comp.ehensive strategy.for p.nk bollworm management on a sustainable basis.

青藏高原及邻区前成冰纪物质组成及其地质演化过程,在地球早期超大陆形成演化过程的研究中扮演了重要角色.本文系统梳理和总结了青藏高原及邻区前成冰纪沉积岩、古生物、岩浆和变质作用特征.根据现有资料,青藏高原及邻区前成冰纪沉积岩和古生物记录主要集中于中~新元古代,古元古代及更早的记录相对较少,最古老的地质记录为喜马拉雅和昌都地区前寒武纪变质沉积岩中的冥古宙碎屑锆石(约4.0Ga).青藏高原及邻区保存了凯诺兰超级克拉通以及哥伦比亚、罗迪尼亚和冈瓦纳超大陆形成演化过程的记录,其前成冰纪基底可划分为3种类型:塔里木型、扬子型和拉萨型.塔里木型基底与澳大利亚和印度大陆北缘具有古地理亲缘性,且不发育罗迪尼亚超大陆聚合相关的碎屑锆石年龄峰值和岩浆-变质记录(约1.3~0.9Ga);扬子型基底发育与前成冰纪最晚期全球变冷密切相关的火山活动记录,可见中~新元古代叠层石和微古植物化石,以及约1.1~1.0Ga与罗迪尼亚超大陆聚合相关的岩浆-变质作用记录;拉萨型基底发育新元古代早期大陆裂谷沉积记录(约900Ma)和晚期高压变质事件(约650Ma),具有明显的1.2~1.1Ga碎屑锆石年龄峰值,它很可能与非洲大陆具有古地理亲缘性.

Aim： To evaluate the imp.ct of age and gender on lip.d and lip.p.otein p.ofiles and the burden of dy.lip.demia in a cohort of healthy.Chinese Singap.rean. Methods： A total of 1 775 healthy.Chinese, 536 men and 1 239 women aged between 30 and 70 y.ars old were involved in the p.esent study. Results： Gender differences in all lip.d and lip.p.otein levels were clearly.evident. Singap.rean Chinese men have significantly.higher levels of total cholesterol （TC）, trigly.eride （TG）, low density.lip.p.otein-cholesterol （LDL-C） and total cholesterol/high density.lip.p.otein-cholesterol （TC/HDL-C）, and lower levels of HDL-C than women. Although lip.d and lip.p.otein levels in men did not change in the different age group., those in women, esp.cially.TC, LDL-C and TC/HDL-C, were significantly.higher in older women （〉 50 y.ars old） than corresp.nding levels in y.unger women （30-46 y.ars old）. Furthermore, TG was significantly.correlated with lip.ds and lip.p.oteins differently.in men and women. If 100 mg/dL of LDL-C were to be adop.ed as the therap.utic cut-off level, then the burden of care will be huge as ap.roximately.90% of both Chinese men and women have LDL-C greater than 100 mg/dL. Condusion： In light of the findings of the p.esent study. we suggest that p.eventive measures to p.omote the reduction in risk of coronary.heart disease （CHD） must address the high p.op.rtion of men and women with high LDL-C, and that these measures should take into account both the gender and age factors. For men, reduction of high cholesterol must start early.in life, whereas for women, step. must be taken earlier to mitigate the anticip.ted sharp.increase in risk, esp.cially.after menop.use.
