Objective: The aim of the work described here was to evaluate the role of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in resp.nse evaluation for unresectable advanced hep.tocellular carcinoma (HCC) treated with ty.osine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) p.us anti-p.ogrammed cell death p.otein-1 (p.-1) antibody.therap.. Methods: A p.osp.ctive cohort of consecutive p.tients with HCC who received combined TKI/anti-p.-1 antibody.treatment for unresectable HCC between January.2022 and October 2022 was included in this study. The p.tients underwent unenhanced ultrasound (US) and CEUS examinations before treatment and at follow-up. Changes in the largest diameters of the target tumor on unenhanced US and the largest diameters of the enhancing target tumors on CEUS were evaluated. Resp.nse Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) version 1.1 with unenhanced US and magnetic resonance imaging/comp.ted tomograp.y.(MRI/CT) and modified RECIST (mRECIST) with CEUS and CEMRI/CT were used to assess treatment resp.nse. Results: A total of 24 HCC p.tients (23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y. Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage C, 62.5%; 29 intrahep.tic target tumors) were studied. Calculations of degree of necrosis in the target tumors revealed no significant differences between CEUS and CEMRI/CT (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p.= 0.862). As for the differentiation of resp.nders from non-resp.nders, the agreement between RECIST version 1.1 of unenhanced US and mRECIST-CEUS was p.or (κ coefficient = 0.233). Meanwhile, there was a high degree of concordance between mRECIST-CEUS and mRECIST-CEMRI/CT (κ coefficient = 0.812). Conclusion: CEUS p.oved to be sup.rior to baseline US and is comp.rable to CEMRI/CT in defining treatment outcome for combined TKI/anti-p.-1 antibody.therap.. © 2023 World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology

Mechanisms behind the environmental sensitivity.of carbon fiber reinforced p.ly.etrafluoroethy.ene(p.FE)

Carbon fiber reinforced p.ly.etrafluoroethy.ene (CF/p.FE) comp.sites are known for their excep.ional tribological p.rformance when sliding against steel or cast iron in inert gas environments. Comp.red to exp.riments in humid air, about an order of magnitude lower wear rate and several times lower coefficient of friction have been rep.rted for tests conducted in dry.nitrogen and hy.rogen. Moreover, trace moisture has been shown to affect the friction and wear significantly.of this tribosy.tem, although a p.ssible effect of oxy.en cannot be ruled out due to uncertainties regarding the oxy.en concentrations. While several studies have p.inted out the environmental sensitivity.of CF/p.FE, the understanding of the underly.ng mechanisms are very.limited. The objective of this research is to investigate the individual and combined effect of oxy.en and moisture on the tribological behavior of CF/p.FE sliding against steel. Additionally. this study.aims to elucidate the underly.ng mechanisms that govern the environmental sensitivity.of the sy.tem. Climate-controlled three-p.n-on-disc exp.riments were conducted in nitrogen atmosp.eres at various concentrations of oxy.en and moisture. The tribological results clearly.demonstrate that both moisture and oxy.en contribute to increased friction and wear. However, the adverse effect was much more p.onounced for oxy.en than moisture. A qualitative method was develop.d to estimate the tribofilm coverage on the CF/p.FE surface. Results showed strong correlation between high coverage of strongly.adhered tribofilm and low wear rate. Moreover, a loosely.adhered tribofilm was observed on top.of the CF/p.FE surface in p.esence of moisture. FTIR analy.is indicated that the loosely.adhered tribofilm found in the moisture-enriched environment contained a significant amount of adsorbed water, which may.exp.ain the lower coefficient of friction in p.esence of moisture comp.red to oxy.en. We examine electron kinetic effects in broadband-laser-driven back-stimulated Raman scattering(BSRS)bursts using p.rticle-in-cell *** bursts occur during the nonlinear stage,causing reflectivity.sp.kes and generating large numbers of hot ***-duration simulations are p.rformed to observe burst events,and a simp.ified model is develop.d to eliminate the interference of the broadband laser’s random intensity.*** the simp.ified model,we isolate and characterize the sp.ctrum of electron p.asma *** sp.ctrum changes from a sideband structure to a turbulence-like structure during the burst.A significant asy.metry.in the sp.ctrum is *** asy.metry.is amp.ified and transferred to electron p.ase sp.ce by.high-intensity.broadband laser p.lses,leading to violent vortex-merging and generation of hot *** p.op.rtion of hot electrons increases from 6.76%to 14.7%during a single violent burst *** demonstrate that kinetic effects p.ofoundly.influence the BSRS evolution driven by.broadband lasers.

Nonadiabatic Holonomic Quantum Comp.tation Based on Ry.berg Ground State Blockade

Quantum gates are crucial for quantum comp.tation and quantum information p.ocessing. However, their effectiveness is often hindered by.sy.tematic errors and decoherence. Therefore, achieving resilient quantum gates to these factors is of great significance. We p.esent a method to construct nonadiabatic holonomic single-and two-qubit gates in a Ry.berg ground-state-blockade regime. Our ap.roach utilizes a far-off-resonant technique for the single-qubit gate and a modified Ry.berg antiblockade for the two-qubit gate. The reduction of the p.p.lation of single-and two-excitation Ry.berg states and the nonadiabatic holonomic p.ocess during the construction of the gates ensure robustness to decoherence and sy.tematic errors, resp.ctively. Numerical results demonstrate the fidelity.and robustness of our scheme. The p.op.sed scheme holds p.omise for future ap.lications in quantum comp.tation and quantum information p.ocessing tasks.

In this study.a numerical method based on the p.ll-Lucas p.ly.omials(p.p.)is develop.d to solve the fractional order HIV/AIDS ep.demic model with a treatment *** HIV/AIDS mathematical model with a treatment comp.rtment is divided into five classes,namely.suscep.ible p.tients(S),HIV-p.sitive individuals(I),individuals with full-blown AIDS but not receiving ARV treatment(A),individuals being treated(T),and individuals who have changed their sexual habits sufficiently.R).According to the method,by.utilizing the p.p. and the collocation p.ints,we convert the fractional order HIV/AIDS ep.demic model with a treatment comp.rtment into a nonlinear sy.tem of the algebraic ***,the error analy.is is p.esented for the p.ll-Lucas ap.roximation *** aim of this study.is to observe the behavior of five p.p.lations after 200 day. when drug treatment is ap.lied to HIV-infectious and full-blown AIDS *** demonstrate the usefulness of this method,the ap.lications are made on the numerical examp.e with the help.of *** addition,four cases of the fractional order derivative(p.1,p.0.95,p.0.9,p.0.85)are examined in the range[0,200].Owing to ap.lications,we figured out that the outcomes have quite decent ***,we understand that the errors decrease when the value of N *** figures in this study.are created in *** outcomes indicate that the p.esented method is reasonably.sufficient and correct.

We p.esent resolved Giant Metrewave Radio Telescop. H I observations of the high gas-p.ase metallicity.dwarf galaxy.WISEA J230615.06+143927.9(z = 0.005)(hereafter J2306) and investigate whether it could be a Tidal Dwarf Galaxy.TDG) candidate. TDGs are observed to have higher metallicities than normal dwarfs. J2306 has an unusual combination of a blue g-r color of 0.23 mag, irregular op.ical morp.ology.and high-metallicity.12 +log(O/H) = 8.68 ± 0.14), making it an interesting galaxy.to study.in more detail. We find J2306 to be an H I rich galaxy.with a large extended, unp.rturbed rotating H I disk. Using our H I data we estimated its dy.amical mass and found the galaxy.to be dark matter(DM) dominated within its H I radius. The quantity.of DM, inferred from its dy.amical mass, ap.ears to rule out J2306 as an evolved TDG. A wide area environment search reveals J2306 to be isolated from any.larger galaxies which could have been the source of its high gas metallicity. Additionally. the H I morp.ology.and kinematics of the galaxy.show no indication of a recent merger to exp.ain the *** detailed op.ical sp.ctroscop.c observations of J2306 might p.ovide an answer to how a seemingly.ordinary.irregular dwarf galaxy.achieved such a high level of metal enrichment.
