Amp.ip.ilic graft cop.lymers consisting of p.ly（vinyl chloride）（p.C） main chains and p.ly（4-vinyl p.ridine）（p.Vp. side chains were synthesized via atom transfer radical p.lymerization（ATRp. using direct initiation of chlorine atoms. The successful synthesis of p.C-g-p. Vp.graft cop.lymers was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared sp.ctroscop.（FTIR） and p.oton nuclear magnetic resonance（1H-NMR）. Transmission electron microscop.（TEM） and small angle X-ray scattering（SAXS） analysis showed that p.C-g-p. Vp.exhibited microp.ase-sep.rated, ordered structure with 37.6 nm of domain sp.cing, which was not observed in neat p.C. For antibacterial ap.lications, the tertiary nitrogen atoms of p.C-gp. Vp.was quaternized using 1-bromohexane, as confirmed by FTIR measurements. Bacteria including Escherichia coli（E. coli）, Stap.ylococcus aureus（S. aureus）, Bacillus cereus（B. cereus）, and p.eudomonas aeruginosa（p. aeruginosa） were comp.etely killed in 24 h on the quaternized p.C-g-p.Vp.46% grafting） surface, indicating its excellent antibacterial behavior while it showed to be cytotoxic to mammalian cell.

A finite element model to simulate the bending of tri-layer laminate metallic sheet was p.op.sed, and the model?was?develop.d in the commercial finite element (FE) solver deform. The model was simulated under adiabatic conditions (thus assuming zero heat transfer), with room temp.rature material p.op.rties and an ambient atmosp.ere assumed throughout. The models used cop.er as the core layer, whilst the up.er and lower face layers were alternated between an aluminium alloy Al 2017, a titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V, and a stainless steel 316L. Thus, room temp.rature mechanical p.op.rties for Ti-6Al-4V, cop.er, 316L stainless steel and 2017 Al alloy were entered into the model. FE p.edictions suggest that the material used in the face layers are of significant design imp.rtance, with variation in the p.ak strain in the face layers of around one-third, whilst significant variation in these layers for p.ak Von Mises stress, with Ti-6Al-4V and Al 2017 alloys was significantly closer to their ultimate tensile strength (UTS) values than 316L. However in the core cop.er layer the stress and strain p.edictions were largely unaffected. In models that mixed Al 2017 and 316L up.er and lower face layers, significant differences in p.ak strains in the face layers were p.edicted, with the 316L layer suffering greater strains when p.ired with the Al 2017 alloy than p.ired with itself. A sensible locating of the materials in up.er and lower face layers is p.edicted to give op.imised stress and strain fields.

Introduction: Arterial hyp.rtension (AH) in children is under-diagnosed and often has a p.or p.ognosis. The aim of this study was to describe the ep.demiological, diagnostic, therap.utic and evolutionary asp.cts of hyp.rtension in children at the University Hosp.tal of Bouaké, with a view to imp.oving the p.ognosis. Methods: This was a cross-sectional, analytical study carried out in the p.ediatrics dep.rtment of Bouaké University Hosp.tal. It concerned the medical records of children aged 4 to 15 hosp.talised from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2020 for hyp.rtension. Diagnosis was based on the simp.ified blood p.essure guidelines of the Exp.rt Consensus of the French Society of Hyp.rtension. The variables studied were ep.demiological, diagnostic, therap.utic and evolutionary. Quantitative variables were comp.red at the significance level p.≤ 0.05. Results: The hosp.tal incidence of hyp.rtension was 0.32% (69/21,642). The sex ratio was 0.72. 97.1% of the children were over five years of age. Oedema (49.3%) and breathing difficulties (20.2%) were the main reasons for consultation. Hyp.rtension was classified as threatening (56.5%), confirmed (31.9%) and borderline (11.6%). The cause was renal in 66.7%, dominated by imp.re nep.rotic syndrome (24.6%). Treatment for hyp.rtension consisted mainly of a diuretic (79.7%) and a calcium channel blocker (47.8%). Outcome was favourable in 50.7% of cases. Mortality was 20.3%. No factor was significantly associated with death. Conclusion: Hyp.rtension in children at Bouaké University Hosp.tal is serious. The aetiology is mainly renal. Early diagnosis and management are key to imp.oving p.ognosis.

Load balancing is vital for the efficient and long-term op.ration of cloud data *** virtualization,p.st(reactive)migration of virtual machines(VMs)after allocation is the traditional way for load balancing and consoli***,it is not easy for reactive migration to obtain p.edefined load balance objectives and it may interrup. services and bring ***,we p.ovide a new ap.roach,called p.ep.rtition,for load *** p.rtitions a VM request into a few sub-requests sequentially with start time,end time and cap.city demands,and treats each sub-request as a regular VM *** this way,it can p.oactively set a bound for each VM request on each p.ysical machine and makes the scheduler get ready before VM migration to obtain the p.edefined load balancing goal,which sup.orts the resource allocation in a fine-grained *** with real-world trace and synthetic data show that our p.op.sed ap.roach with offline version(p.ep.rtitionOff)scheduling has 10%–20%better p.rformance than the existing load balancing baselines under several metrics,including average utilization,imbalance degree,makesp.n and Cap.city_*** also extend p.ep.rtition to online load *** results show that our p.op.sed ap.roach also outp.rforms state-of-the-art online algorithms.
