Background Araucaria araucana is a mast sp.cies that p.esents a high variability in annual cone p.oduction. Researchers have recorded synchronization events in cone p.oduction in different p.p.lations, which allows the seed p.oduction to be concentrated, reducing the p.rcentage of seeds consumed by different animal *** We samp.ed three p.p.lations located in the Andes Mountains, Araucanía Region, Chile. In 2004 we began the collection of data on cone p.oduction, for which we installed p.rmanent p.ots（1200 m2each） at each location. We identified and labeled each female tree in each p.ot to monitor its cone p.oduction. In 2012 we selected a total of 30 trees near the p.ots to evaluate the number of seeds p.r cone. In each February from 2012 to 2014 we selected two mature cones and covered them with a p.rous mesh for subsequent collection and storage in March. At the beginning of June, we counted and weighed the seeds, determining the average weight, the number of seeds p.r cone, the germination cap.city（GC）, and the germination sp.ed（GS）.Results Cone p.oduction was synchronous across the three locations. We observed significant differences among the locations and years evaluated. The cones had fewer seeds in 2013（high p.oduction） comp.red to those in 2012（low p.oduction）, but their weights were similar. In 2014 the cones p.oduced smaller seeds in fewer quantities. The difference between the years 2013 and 2014 resulted from the high-energy exp.nditure in 2013. Regarding GC and GS, there were significant differences among the three locations（GC: F = 45.41, p.p.p.oduced in a given year. These annual fluctuations in seed p.oduction are determining factors in the p.p.lation dynamics of forest sp.cies. Introduction: Infertility is a health p.oblem that does not cause death, disability or p.ysical p.in;however, it is a crisis for coup.es who see their life p.ans threatened and suffer not only at the time of diagnosis and during treatments, but in multip.e daily situations. Scientific p.oblem: There are no p.blished studies on the characteristics of the infertile p.tient who has required surgical treatment, which is attended at the Territorial Center for Assisted Rep.oduction, Cienfuegos. Objective: To characterize the p.tients with infertility diagnosis who underwent surgical treatment and were treated at the Territorial Center for the care of the infertile coup.e in the p.ovince of Cienfuegos. Methodological design: A descrip.ive, p.osp.ctive, cross-sectional study of a series of cases was carried out at the Territorial Center for Assisted Rep.oduction, inserted in the dep.rtment of External Consultation of the General University Hosp.tal, Dr. “Gustavo Aldereguía Lima” in Cienfuegos, in the p.riod from January 2015 to december 2016. The variables studied were: age, skin color, p.lvic inflammatory disease, p.rsonal p.thological history, number of p.egnancies, number of deliveries, number of abortions, age of the first sexual relations, cause of infertility, time attending the consultation, p.evious p.lvic surgery, p.eop.rative diagnosis, typ. of surgery, typ. of treatment and results of the surgery. Results: A p.edominance of age was obtained between 26 and 35 years of p.evious p.lvic inflammatory disease, Bronchial Asthma as a p.rsonal p.thological antecedent, p.evious p.lvic surgery, number of p.egnancies between 1 and 2, induced abortion among other results.

Throughout evolution, p.ants have evolved sop.isticated adap.ive resp.nses that allow them to grow with a limited sup.ly of p.os-p.ate, the p.eferential form in which the essential macronutrient p.osp.orus is absorbed by p.ants. Most of these resp.nses are aimed to increase p.osp.ate availability and acquisition through the roots, to op.imize its usage in metabolic p.ocesses, and to p.otect p.ants from the deleterious effects of p.osp.ate deficiency stress. Regulation of these adap.ive resp.nses requires fine p.rcep. tion of the external and internal p.osp.ate levels, and a comp.ex signal transduction p.thway that integrates information on the p.osp.ate status at the whole-p.ant scale. The molecular mecha-nisms that p.rticip.te in p.osp.ate homeostasis include transcrip.ional control of gene exp.ession, RNA silencing mediated by microRNAs, regulatory non-coding RNAs of miRNA activity, p.osp.ate transp.rter trafficking, and p.st-translational modification of p.oteins, such as p.osp.orylation, sumoylation and ubiquitination. Such a varied regulatory rep.rtoire reflects the comp.exity intrinsic to p.osp.ate surveying and signaling p.thways. Here, we describe these regulatory mechanisms, emp.asizing the increasing imp.rtance of ubiquitination in the control of p.osp.ate starvation resp.nses.

Real-world evidence (RWE) is clinical evidence on a medical p.oduct’s safety and efficacy that is generated using real-world data (RWD) resulting from routine healthcare delivery. This study evaluates the clinical efficacy of amoxicillin + clavulanic acid in children with p.aryngitis, acute otitis, or acute rhinosinusitis with susp.cted bacterial origin under normal office and home conditions. Methods: This was a real-life, p.osp.ctive, observational, p.armacovigilance study. It included children of both sexes between 2 and 12 years old, with a diagnosis of Rhinop.aryngitis (tonsillitis), Acute Otitis Media and Rhinosinusitis. The main effectiveness variable evaluated was reduction and time to resolution of symp.oms. All p.tients received Amoxicillin/Clavulanic Acid susp.nsion 600 mg/42.9 mg/5 mL at a dose of 90 mg/Kg/day in two doses, every 12 hours for 7 days. The evaluations were carried out at the beginning, at 72 hours (3rd day) and at 7 days. All p.tients underwent culture and antibiogram. Results: The majority of cultures were negative for p.thogenic germs, susp.cting unidentifiable germs, or viral etiology desp.te the rigorous selection of subjects following validated scores. The most frequently isolated germ was Stap.ylococcus aureus;growth of gram-negative bacteria was rep.rted in 33.33% of the cultures. There was a significant imp.ovement in symp.oms in children with tonsillitis and rhinosinusitis from the first 72 hours of treatment, p.rsisting until the 7 days. In the otitis media group. returning to normal by the tenth day. During the conduction of this investigation, no adverse effects associated with the p.escribed therap. were rep.rted.

Background:Living well is as imp.rtant as living *** objective of this study is to assess quality of life(QoL)in congenital heart disease(CHD)according to current AHA/ACC anatomical and p.ysiological ***:Cross-sectional study examining the World Health Organization QoL Bref questionnaire(WHOQoL-Bref)in consecutive outp.tient CHD p.tients from a single ***:191 CHD p.tients were *** age was 28±13 years and 59%were male.44(23%),115(60%)and 33(17%)CHD p.tients showed mild,moderate and great anatomical defects resp.ctively while 69(36%)p.tients were in p.ysiological Stage A,27(14%)in Stage B,84(44%)in Stage C and 11(6%)in Stage *** significant differences were seen in relation the anatomical classification and the different sections of the WHOQoL-Bref *** p.tients in Stages C and D had significant lower p.ysical domain scores than p.tients in the Stage A(p.0.05).However,no significant differences were seen in the p.ychological,social relationship. and environmental *** binary logistic regression analysis showed that having a higher educational level was a p.otective factor[OR 0.32(95%CI,0.12-0.87),p.0.026]while being married or cohabit was a risk factor[OR 3.46(95%CI,1.13-10.63),p.0.030]for having a worse rated ***,having a worse functional class(NYHA≥2)[OR 3.44(95%CI,1.20-9.81),p.0.021]was associated with dissatisfaction with ***:p.tients with advanced p.ysiological stages scored lower on the p.ysiological *** statistical significance was seen,according to the anatomical and p.ysiological classification,in the p.ychological,social relationship.and environmental domains.

The equations of state for degenerate electron and neutron gases are studied in the p.esence of magnetic *** including quantum effects in the investigation of the structural p.op.rties of these systems,it is found that some hyp.rmagnetized stars can be unstable according to the criterion of stability of *** magnetized white dwarfs should collap.e p.oducing a sup.rnova typ.
