The objective of this study is to characterize and assess the risk of collapse of woody plant formations in the Fathala forest. In recent years, this forest has suffered a sharp reduction in its plant cover to the point of compromising the survival of populations of certain animal species such as the Red colobuses. The methods used are respectively constituted by the transect method, the dendrometric statements method and that of establishing the red list of ecosystems of the IUCN. The specific richness comprises 56 species divided into 47 genera and 22 families. The density is higher in the unfenced area (369 ind/ha in clear forest and 53 ind/ha in gallery forest) compared to the fenced area (160 ind/ha in clear forest versus 48 ind/ha in gallery forest). A study of the plant formations shows a strong degradation of the ecosystems passing from a clear and dry Sudanese forest to a wooded savannah. The cover rate in the fenced area is 20% in gallery forests and 25% in clear forests;in the unfenced area, it is 19% and 23% in gallery forests and clear forests, respectively. The application of the IUCN criteria shows an annual rate of collapse is -6 ind/ha in gallery forests and -4 ind/ha in clear forests. The annual rate of cover collapse would be -3.75% and -2.9% for gallery forests and clear forests, respectively. These results classify the forest in the Critically Endangered category. The main factors responsible for this degradation are, among others, anthropogenic actions and climatic pejoration. These results could constitute a basic tool for undertaking an improvement in the management of this forest, which is a living environment for an animal species.

Objective: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of platelet rich growth factors (PRGFs) in treatment of temporomandibular joint disc displacement. Materials and Methods: The study subjects included 8 females having bilateral anterior disc displacement with reduction and 1 female having bilateral anterior disc displacement without reduction with the age range between 20 - 35 years. The process of obtaining PRGFs was carried out following the Anitua Technique. Results: Clinical parameters of Interincisal distance, Lateral excursion of mandible using digital caliper in millimeters and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS 0/10) for pain intensity score were used. All of these parameters were running through the intervals of two, four, and eight weeks till the end of the follow-up period at twenty-six weeks (six months). The participated patients showed the clinical improvement in the different clinical statuses such as interincisal distance;lateral excursion of mandible and Pain Score. Conclusion: the study reported early efficacy of PRGFs after the arthrocentesis of the joint in treatment of TMJ disc displacement, and according to our results, the injection of PRGFs could be a possible alternative treatment for patients who did not respond to standard treatment.

心房颤动（房颤）是临床上最常见的心律失常之一，显著增加患者的卒中风险。房颤患者的血栓主要来源于左心耳，因此，在房颤的外科治疗中处理左心耳能够有效地预防脑卒中。但是房颤外科治疗中处理左心耳的方法多样，各有利弊，其卒中预防效果也不尽相同。因此，我们综合手术难度，手术成本及术后卒中发生率等多个维度对左心耳切除术、左心耳结扎术和左心耳夹闭术这三种常见的左心耳外科处理方法进行了评价，探讨左心耳外科处理方法对房颤患者脑卒中预防效果的影响，以期能够为临床上房颤患者左心耳处理方法的选择提供一定的指导。

Comparative Study of the Effect of Shading Rate on the Electrical Parameters of CIGS and CdTe/CdS Solar Modules

In this paper, a comparative study of the maximum power on the shading rate on the maximum power of thin film PV modules. Thus two thin film PV modules of type Copper indium gallium selenide, CIGS, of 90W power and a CdTe (Cadmium telluride)/CdS (Cadmium sulfide) module, of maximum power 75 W. These modules, reference SN-CIGS90 and CX3 75 were tested under the conditions of the installation site to ensure their proper functioning and to determine the initial values of electrical parameters before shading. The results obtained are as follows: for the CIGS: Pm (80.717 W);Vco (23.06 V), Icc (3.5 A) and for the CdTe:Pm (54.914 W);Vco (35.52 V), Icc (1.546 A). After this characterization test, the modules are exposed to real operating conditions at the Center for Study and Research on the renewable energy (CERER), Cheikh Anta diop University in Dakar. Four types of shading are performed on each module with the same mask: partial shading at 25%, 50%, 75% and complete shading at 100%. The comparison of the variation rates obtained on the experimental values of the 4 types of shading carried out on each module, shows that, the phenomenon of shading constitutes an environmental factor which influences negatively the maximum power of the thin film PV modules. But this reduction depends on the surface of the shaded module, the nature of the mask but also the technology used. Indeed, for a shading of 25% of the surface of the two modules, we note a reduction of 21.32% of power for the CIGS, against 40.53% for the CdTe/CdS, that is to say a difference which approaches 20%.

Introduction: Lumbar and sciatic pain are frequent motives of disability in military people in Mali. As spine surgery isn’t recognized enough, our study aims to analyze etiologies, epidemiology, clinical features and surgical standards in order to improve troop abilities. Methodology: Our descriptive and retrospective study has included 31 operated military patients who underwent medical or surgical procedures between 2010 and 2018 in the Military Neurology/Neurosurgery Unit and Mère-Enfant Hospital Neurosurgery department. Results: Among 553 seen in consultation, fifty percent were between 30 and 50 years old. Main motive was sciatic pain (65.5%). Seventy eight percent of our patients were field militaires and sub-officers, and 83.2% were males. All of them have benefited a CT scan or MRI with medical treatment in rheumatology or neurology. Thirty-one patients underwent spine surgery and were included in the study, so 6% (mean age: 43.52 years, 90.3% males). Lumbar spine surgery represented 54.8% of cases with lumbar canal stenosis in 64.5% of cases. It appeared that spondylolisthésis with isthmic fracture was frequent (12.9%), and traumatic cervical spine fractures were dominant in 2012. Instrumented arthrodesis was performed for 41.9% of patients, lumbar discectomy for 32.3% and laminectomies for 22.6%. Pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma (PXA) generally occurs in children and young adults and is classified as a low-grade astrocytic tumor with a potential favorable prognosis. But these data must be interpreted with much caution, because of some rapid progression or malignant transformation during the postoperative follow-up. We report herein a rare case of a cerebellar PXA manifested as a benign lesion at first time in a 39 year-old woman, but with malignant transformation two years later. In this paper, we discuss the clinical signs, radiological findings and the therapeutic data on the subject according to literature review.

Ewing’s sarcoma, a group of primary neuroectodermal tumor (PNET), is an uncommon rare highly malignant tumor mostly affecting the bones of male patients, and accounts for approximately 10% of the primary malignant bone tumors, and occupies the second place after osteosarcoma in children’s less than 20 years. Primary intramedullary Ewing’s sarcoma is an extremely rare condition. Here, we present a case of a 16-year-old girl with progressive weakness of lower extremities, inability to walk, progressive low back pain, bilateral leg pain, paresthesia and urinary retention. Spinal MRI showed intramedullary abnormal signal focus from T11 to L3 vertebrae with moderate heterogeneous enhancement on T1 weighted sequences. After surgery, histological examination found a lot of small round-cell tumors with a high nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio, frequent mitoses and apoptotic nuclei suggesting a diagnosis of Ewing’s sarcoma and confirmed by CD99 reactivity. She had undergone adjuvant chemotherapy and irradiation and was free of symptoms since 02 years. Within this single pure case of intramedullary Ewing’s sarcoma, perhaps the 1st in the English literature, the authors described this extremely rare uncommon localization with a brief review of the literature.

Introduction: Domestic accidents are defined as accidents that occur in the home or its immediate surroundings. Objective: To describe the epidemioclinical and therapeutic aspects. Patients and Methods: Prospective, descriptive study from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 in the emergency department of Boffa prefectural hospital included all children aged 0 to 15 years admitted for domestic accidents. Results: Of 120 cases of accidental trauma, 56 were domestic accidents. The mean age was 7.08 years. The 0 - 5 and 11 - 15 age groups were the most represented (35.71%). The sex ratio was 1.55 in favor of boys. Domestic accidents were represented by falls (26.78%), thermal burns (21.43%), snakebite wounds (17.86%) and dog bites (10.71%), drowning (5.36%), and electrification by lightning (3.60%), one case or 1.78% of each of the following: esophageal foreign body by palm nut, firearm, wall collapse, stretching of upper limb. Paracetamol was the molecule most frequently used (89.28%). The outcome was favorable in 92.86% of cases. However, four (4) deaths were recorded. Conclusion: Domestic accidents remain a significant pathology at Boffa prefectural hospital.

Improving the Stability of the Inflatable Soil of diamniadio by Using Typha Australis in Order to Value It in Partitioning Wall

The construction industry in Senegal is experiencing an upsurge in the development of residential housing units and administrative buildings within the new diamniadio municipality, an area located just about 35 km from the capital city of Dakar. Laboratory oedometer or expansive-index tests, however, show poor density and compromised shear strength in the soil samples within the area -posing serious construction problems due to significant volume changes (swellings) that occur when subjected to moisture, thus, bringing into question the structural performance integrity of the soil, and the financial implications of substitute soil types used to compensate for its poor tensile strength. By way, the companies collect the soil of this location (diamniadio) and throw it to make pile or micro-pile (pious) for their structures. This article demonstrates how we can value the soil of diamniadio and the Typha Australis in residential building with a reasonable cost. Typha Australis is a plant generally luxuriant within the northern and central belts of Senegal but also known for its negative ecological impacts on the agricultural production of rice. The valorisation of the soil of diamniadio will pass by the ability to increase its stability or to decrease its shrinkage/swelling rate. When we achieve it, the soil associate with Typha Australis will be used for small bricks which can be useful for partition wall and so the soil will not be ever thrown as a non-useful material. Tests results of soil specimens extracted from the site show a shrinkage rate of 29.19% with estimated cracking depths of 3.5 cm. But by adding gradually Typha Australis, the shrinkage rate will pass from 29.19% to 5.13% with the material treats with 10% by mass of Typha Australis. Moreover, the crackings in the cylindrical specimen disappear. That shows the increase of the stability;thus the composition will be used for building bricks.
