Sedimentary characteristics of paleo-aeolian dune sands of Salawusu Formation in the Salawusu River Valley

The Salawusu Formation of Milanggouwan section in Salawusu River Valley includes 7 layers of paleo-mobile dune sands, and 4 layers of paleo-fixed and semi-fixed dune sands. Their structures have been observed and their grain size, surface textural features and several main chemical elements have been analyzed. The results showed that： 1） Some of the aeolian structural characteristics of these dune sands are similar to that of the recent dune sands. 2） They are also similar to the recent dune sands in grain size components, and parameters of Mz,σ, Sk and Kg, as well as in several main chemical components. 3） The scattergrams of Mz-σ and SiO2-Al2O3＋TOFE and the probability curves of grain size showed that these paleo-dune sands are different from paleosols and fluvio-lacustrine facies, but are consistency with recent dune sands. 4） Quartz sands have well roundness and surface textural features such as dish-shaped pits, crescent-shaped pits, pockmarked pits, upturned cleavage plates, siliceous precipitates and siliceous crevasses, indicating that they had been carried for a long time by the wind. As the 11 layers of paleo-dune sands possess the aeolian characteristics in structure, grain size, surface textural features and chemical elements, the origin of their formation should be attributed to eolation.

内蒙萨拉乌苏河流域米浪沟湾剖面末次间冰期发育5层古土壤。对这5层古土壤的形态特征、粒度、扫描电镜及化学风化等分析结果表明:(1)这些古土壤具有与华北现代褐土相似的形态特征;(2)粘化率中部高和石英颗粒表面硅质溶蚀—沉淀现象表明古土壤层中发生过风化成壤作用;(3)用K2O/Na2O、Al2O3/Na2O、MnO/Al2O3、CIA及A-CN-K图解与华北现代褐土作对比分析,发现它们的化学风化特征极为相似;(4)用气温及降水量与CIA值的回归关系方程,得出5层古土壤发育时期的水热状况确与华北现代的暖温带半湿润季风性气候大致相同或更显暖湿。形态特征、粒度、石英颗粒表面特征和化学风化特征等多个方面具备了与现代华北褐土类似的化学风化成壤特征,证明这些古土壤是在与华北相似的暖温带半湿润季风性气候条件下形成的。

With vigorous developments in nanotechnology,the elaborate regulation of microstructure shows attractive potential in the design of electromagnetic wave ***,a hierarchical porous structure and composite heterogeneous interface are constructed successfully to optimize the electromagnetic loss *** macro–micro-synergistic graphene aerogel formed by the ice template‑assisted 3D printing strategy is cut by silicon carbide nanowires(SiC_(nws))grown in situ,while boron nitride(BN)interfacial structure is introduced on graphene *** unique composite structure forces multiple scattering of incident EMWs,ensuring the combined effects of interfacial polarization,conduction networks,and magnetic-dielectric ***,the as-prepared composites present a minimum reflection loss value of−37.8 dB and a wide effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 9.2 GHz(from 8.8 to 18.0 GHz)at 2.5 ***,relying on the intrinsic high-temperature resistance of SiC_(nws) and BN,the EAB also remains above 5.0 GHz after annealing in air environment at 600℃ for 10 h.

Cloning and analysis of a Y-tocopherol methyltransf erase gene from Brassica oleracea and the function of its recombinant protein

The full-length cDNA (BoTMT) of γ-TMT is obtained from Brassica oleracea by 3'- and 5'-RACE methods. The 1265 bp cDNA contains an open reading frame of 1044 bp, which encodes a protein of 347 amino acids with a predicted chloroplast transit peptide and two S-adenosylmethionine (SAM)-binding domains. Sequence analysis shows that the deduced protein shares 41. 8% -86. 5% similarity to known γ-TMTs. Semi-quantitative RT-PCR reveals that BoTMT is expressed preferentially in flowers and leaves of B. oleracea . The recombinant γ-TMT protein is obtained by cloning its encoding region into the prokaryotic expression vector pET30a. The protein expressed in E. coli accounts for 22 % of total bacterial protein. The enzyme activity assay indicates that the recombinant protein has relatively high activity to convert γ-tocopherol to α-tocopherol in vitro.

Evolutionary Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm Based on Collective Prediction for Deployment of Base Stations

The wireless signals emitted by base stations serve as a vital link connecting people in today’s society and have been occupying an increasingly important role in real *** development of the Internet of Things(IoT)relies on the support of base stations,which provide a solid foundation for achieving a more intelligent way of *** a specific area,achieving higher signal coverage with fewer base stations has become an urgent ***,this article focuses on the effective coverage area of base station signals and proposes a novel Evolutionary Particle Swarm Optimization(EPSO)algorithm based on collective prediction,referred to herein as *** a new strategy called neighbor-based evolution prediction(NEP)addresses the issue of premature convergence often encountered by *** also employs a strengthening evolution(SE)strategy to enhance the algorithm’s global search capability and efficiency,ensuring enhanced robustness and a faster convergence speed when solving complex optimization *** better adapt to the actual communication needs of base stations,this article conducts simulation experiments by changing the number of base *** experimental results demonstrate thatunder the conditionof 50 ormore base stations,ECPPSOconsistently achieves the best coverage rate exceeding 95%,peaking at 99.4400%when the number of base stations reaches *** results validate the optimization capability of the ECPPSO algorithm,proving its feasibility and *** ablative experiments and comparisons with other algorithms highlight the advantages of ECPPSO.

Direct calculation of voidage in the fine-grid CFD-DEM simulation of fluidized beds with large particles

Voidage is important in determining the hydrodynamic behavior of a fluidized bed and estimating the drag force,Exact calculation methods are limited,especially in terms of determining the intersection bf a particle and cell,This paper presents a method of directly calculating ***,a judgment criterion of particle-cell overlap,which relies on the relationship of the distance from the particle to a cell face,edge,or vertex,is *** cases of the overlap volume of a particle and cell are then ascribed to a unified formula in the framework of the cuboid cell,This formula relies on the volume of two kinds of segments named the hemispherical segment and quarter-spherical *** presented method is validated by calculating the voidage of simple cubic ***,a three-dimensional fluidized bed with large particles is simulated and the results of numerical simulation are compared against experimental and simulation results reported in the *** numerical results are in good agreement with corresponding experimental data,and demonstrate the accuracy and reliability of the presented method in the three-dimensional simulation of fluidized beds.

New approach to develop a 3D non-isothermal computational framework for injection molding process based on level set method

The simulation of three-dimensional （3D） non-isothermal, non-Newtonian fluid filling process is an extremely difficult task and remains a challenging problem, which includes polymer melt flow with free surface coupled with transient heat transfer. This paper presents a full 3D non-isothermal two-phase flow model to predict the complex flow in melt filling process, where the Cross-WLF model is applied to characterize the rheological behav- ior of polymer melt. The governing equations are solved using finite volume method with SIMPLEC algorithm on collocated grids and the melt front is accurately captured by a high resolution level set method. A domain exten- sion technique is adopted to deal with the complex cavities, which greatly reduces the computational burden. To verify the validity of the developed 3D approach, the melts filling processes in two thin rectangular cavities （one of them with a cylindrical insert） are simulated. The predicted melt front interfaces are in good agreement with the experiment and commercial software prediction. For a case with a rather complex cavity, the dynamic filling process in a hemispherical shell is successfully simulated. All of the numerical results show that the developed numerical procedure can provide a reasonable orediction for injection molding process.

Lung-targeted polyzwitterionic lipid nanoparticles for effective treatment of lung inflammation

Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are non-viral nucleic acid delivery systems that show great potential in vaccine development and disease treatment. Although LNPs are particularly advantageous for in vivo delivery, the wide application of LNPs is impeded as their systemic delivery of nucleic acid drugs to extrahepatic tissues remains highly challenging. To address this issue, we developed lung-targeted polyzwitterionic LNPs with zwitterionic polymer poly(2-methyacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine)(PMPC) modified 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycerol lipid for the delivery of small interfering RNA (siRNA). Three libraries with 90PMPC-LNPs@siRNA were established. The polyzwitterionic PMPC-LNPs had high siRNA encapsulation efficiency of about90%. The findings revealed that polyzwitterionic PMPC-LNPs@siRNA absorbed protein corona with the main component of Vitronectin, mediating lung-targeted delivery of siRNA. With good cellular uptake and endo/lysosomal escape ability, in vitro and in vivo studies demonstrated that polyzwitterionic PMPC-LNPs with siRNA against tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) could significantly down-regulate the TNF-α in mRNA and protein levels, and improved the pathological features of lung inflammation. Polyzwitterionic PMPC-LNPs@siRNA achieved safe and efficient treatment of lung inflammation. Therefore, this work offered a promising siRNA therapeutic approach for lung diseases.

Adsorption removal of sulfamethoxazole from water using UiO-66 and UiO-66-BC composites

The adsorption removal of anti-inflammatory drugs from water by diverse materials has drawn great *** study investigated the adsorption of sulfamethoxazole(SMX)by two types of materials,UiO-66 and UiO-66-BC *** porous MOF composites with functional groups were synthesized by combining UiO-66 with corncob-based biochar at different molar *** results showed that macroporosity of UiO-66-BC composites was increased by increasing the ratio of *** was found that UiO-66-BC composites displayed highly improved adsorption performance of SMX relative to pristine ***-66-BC(5%)had the highest SMX adsorption capacity,about 2.4 times those of pristine *** was the high surface area of UiO-66 and redundant functional groups of biochar that increased the adsorption performance of ***,UiO-66-BC can be reused and displayed the competitive adsorption efficiency after successive adsorption,which made it a potential adsorbent for the removal of SMX from water.
