Numerical Investigation of the Load Distribution between the Main Blade and the Splitter Blade in a High-Loading Centrifugal Compressor

In the traditional design of the centrifugal compressor,the splitter blade and the main blade always keep the same ***,to enable high efficiency of the high-loading centrifugal compressor,the matching of design parameters of the splitter blade and the main blade needs to be *** this paper,the influence of the load distribution between the main blade and the splitter blade on the aerodynamic performance,the flow field,and the internal vortices of a high-loading centrifugal compressor were studied by means of CFD *** cases with different values of the variable CR which is defined as the load-ratio of splitter blade to main blade were set *** each case,the splitter blade and the main blade were shaped according to different laws of circulation distribution(_(r)V_(u))while the average circulation of the splitter blade and the main blade at any meridional position were consistent with that of the *** results showed that a proper reduction of the load-ratio of splitter blade to main blade is beneficial to suppress the leakage vortex of the splitter blade and reduce the scale of the wake in the channel near the suction-side of the splitter blade,which consequently improves the flow uniformity at the impeller outlet and enhances the aerodynamic performance of both the stage and the *** stage isentropic efficiency of the optimal case was found to be 0.7%higher than that of the prototype and the stage total pressure ratio was also *** optimal value of CR,which in this investigation is 94%,is supposed to be the result of the trade-off between the development of the wake and the leakage vortices in adjacent two *** optimization of the load distribution between the main blade and the splitter blade provides an opportunity to further improve the high-loading centrifugal compressor performance.

Effect of Cu toxicity at different salinity on selective group of juvenile pompano Trachinotus ovatus

Effects of copper toxicity and salinity shock on selective group of juvenile pompano Trachinotus ovatus were *** fish were exposed to different Cu2+ concentrations of 0(blank),0.02(C1),0.05(C2),0.10(C3),and 0.15 mg·L–1(C4)at a salinity of 10‰ or 40‰ for 96 h,with the salinity of 29‰ as the *** results showed that the effects of the acute salinity stimulation to survival rates of pompano between control(29‰)and lower or higher salinity for 96 h were not significant(p>0.05).However,the survival rates in each treatment were decreased with the increase of Cu2+ *** dominant factor influencing body moisture of the fish was salinity,and there was no sign that body moisture was correlated with exposure to Cu2+.The gill lamellas in high level of Cu2+ concentration(C4 treatments)were abnormal under the salinity of 40‰ and extremely curly under the salinity of 10‰.Hemorrhage in gill was observed in the two C4 *** transmission electron microscope,pillar cells in gill lamellas appeared deformed and ruptured in some areas of the epithelia in the higher concentration of Cu2+,resulting in the death of the fish due to the destruction of gill tissue,elevation of the arithmetic mean distance from water to blood,the decrease of oxygen diffusion capacity,and other physiological *** findings indicate that the pompano might suffer much more pressure when encountered with Cu2+ pollution and low salinity.

Dynamic process simulation with a Savage-Hutter type model for the intrusion of landslide into river

Natural damming of rivers by mass movements is a very common and potentially dangerous phenomena which has been documented all over the world. In this paper, a two-layer model of Savage-Hutter type is presented to simulate the dynamic procedure for the intrusion of landslide into rivers. The two-layer shallow water system is derived by depth averaging the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with the hydrostatic assumption. A high order accuracy scheme based on the finite volume method is proposed to solve the presented model equations. Several numerical tests are performed to verify the realiability and feasibility of the proposed model. The numerical results indicate that the proposed method can be competent for simulating the dynamic process of landslide intrusion into the river. The interaction effect between both layers has a significant impact on the landslide movement, water fluctuation and wave propagation.

A Note on Lower Bound of Centered L_2 -discrepancy on Combined Designs

This note provides a theoretical justification of optimal foldover plans in terms of uniformity. A new lower bound of the centered Lu-discrepancy values of combined designs is obtained, which can be used as a benchmark for searching optimal foldover plans. our numerical results show that this lower bound is sharper than existing results when more factors reverse the signs in the initial design. In the title complex, each 5-aminoisophthalate ligand bridges three cadmium（Ⅱ） ions to form a two-dimensional layer structure.

Compared with traditional piezoelectric ultrasonic devices,optoacoustic devices have unique advantages such as a simple preparation process,anti-electromagnetic interference,and wireless long-distance power ***,current optoacoustic devices remain limited due to a low damage threshold and energy conversion efficiency,which seriously hinder their widespread *** this study,using a self-healing polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS,Fe-Hpdca-PDMS)and carbon nanotube composite,a flexible optoacoustic patch is developed,which possesses the self-healing capability at room temperature,and can even recover from damage induced by cutting or laser ***,this patch can generate high-intensity ultrasound(>25 MPa)without the focusing *** laser damage threshold is greater than 183.44 mJ cm^(-2),and the optoacoustic energy conversion efficiency reaches a major achievement at 10.66×10^(-3),compared with other carbon-based nanomaterials and PDMS *** patch is also been successfully examined in the application of acoustic flow,thrombolysis,and wireless energy *** findings in this study provides new insight into designing and fabricating of novel ultrasound devices for biomedical applications.

The primary focus in electrospinning has been on the production of nanofibers due to their resemblance scale-wise to native extracellular matrix(ECM).However, culture of cells on nanofiber matrixes collected on flat collector also results in a monolayer of cells and ECM, thus limiting inhibitting cellular *** microfiber scaffolds are not on the same size scale as ECM components, they could be potentially advantageous because they are comprised of larger pores as compared to nanofiber scaffolds. These larger pore sizes scaffolds could allow or facilitate cellular infiltration and/or diffusion of nutrients during in vitro culture. In order to achieve bionic structure and composition on the together, electrospun nano(poly vinyl alcohol/chitosan), micro(Poly caprolactone/gelatin) and micro/nano(multiscale) fibrous scaffolds was prepared through adjusting the scheme of scaffold materials and fiber *** diameter distribution histograms showed the average PVA/CS fiber diameter was 386nm±149nm,2.14μm±1.14μm to PCL/Gel fiber.
