Anti-proliferative and apoptotic efficacy of diallyl disulfide onEhrlich ascites carcinoma

Aim:This study was conducted to assess the in vivo and in vitro anti-tumor effects of diallyl disulfi de(DADS)against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(EAC)and to suggest its probable mechanism of ***:EAC was induced in female mice by intraperitoneal injection of EAC-cells from stock ***-bearing mice were orally treated with 100 mg/kg body weight for 2 weeks beginning from the 1st day of EAC intraperitoneal *** effects of DADS against EAC-cells in vitro were investigated at different concentrations(0,6.25,12.5,25,50,and 100μg/mL)of DADS using trypan blue exclusion ***:Data from this study exhibited a signifi cant decrease in EAC-aliquot volume as well as total and alive EAC-cell number and a marked increase in dead EAC-cell number and percent in EAC-bearing mice treated with DADS as compared with EAC-bearing *** changes were consistent with increased number of cells which exhibited phenotypic apoptotic signs marked by a decrease in the expression of anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2,an increase of pro-apoptotic and cell cycle arrest mediator p53 and an elevation of DNA fragmenting indicator terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase in EAC-bearing mice treated with *** addition,the tumor marker sialic acid level was markedly decreased in plasma and Ehrlich ascites in EAC-bearing mice treated with *** vitro,DADS also produced anti-proliferative and anti-tumor cytotoxic potentials against ***:DADS may have anti-cancer effects which may be mediated via modulation of apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.

medium-Term Electric Load Forecasting Using multivariable Linear and Non-Linear Regression

medium-term forecasting is an important category of electric load forecasting that covers a time span of up to one year ahead. It suits outage and maintenance planning, as well as load switching operation. We propose a new methodol-ogy that uses hourly daily loads to predict the next year hourly loads, and hence predict the peak loads expected to be reached in the next coming year. The technique is based on implementing multivariable regression on previous year's hourly loads. Three regression models are investigated in this research: the linear, the polynomial, and the exponential power. The proposed models are applied to real loads of the Jordanian power system. Results obtained using the pro-posed methods showed that their performance is close and they outperform results obtained using the widely used ex-ponential regression technique. moreover, peak load prediction has about 90% accuracy using the proposed method-ology. The methods are generic and simple and can be implemented to hourly loads of any power system. No extra in-formation other than the hourly loads is required.

Usually,rural areas can be electrified via three-phase distribution transformers with relatively large *** such areas,low voltage lines are used for long distances,which cause power losses and voltage drop for different types of *** losses and improving voltage profiles in rural distribution networks are significant challenges for electricity distribution *** different solutions were proposed in the literature to overcome these challenges,most of them face difficulties when applied in the conventional distribution *** address the above issues,an applicable solution is proposed in this paper by installing a number of small-capacity distribution transformers instead of every single large-capacity transformer in rural *** proposed approach is implemented in the branch network of Al-Hoqool village,which belongs to the Nineveh distribution *** network has been inspected on-site,drawn,and analyzed using the electrical systems analysis program(ETAP).The analysis showed that using the single-phase pole-mounted transformers can improve the voltage in the network’s end by 29%and enhance the voltage profile for all *** analysis has also demonstrated that the modification can reduce the total power losses by 78%compared to the existing *** the economic aspect,the payback period for the proposed network is assigned to be 20 months.

Due to the difficulties of brain tumor segmentation, this paper proposes a strategy for extracting brain tumors from three-dimensional magneticResonance Image (mRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) scans utilizing3D U-Net Design and ResNet50, taken after by conventional classificationstrategies. In this inquire, the ResNet50 picked up accuracy with 98.96%, andthe 3D U-Net scored 97.99% among the different methods of deep *** is to be mentioned that traditional Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)gives 97.90% accuracy on top of the 3D mRI. In expansion, the imagefusion approach combines the multimodal images and makes a fused image toextricate more highlights from the medical images. Other than that, we haveidentified the loss function by utilizing several dice measurements approachand received Dice Result on top of a specific test case. The average mean scoreof dice coefficient and soft dice loss for three test cases was 0.0980. At thesame time, for two test cases, the sensitivity and specification were recordedto be 0.0211 and 0.5867 using patch level predictions. On the other hand,a software integration pipeline was integrated to deploy the concentratedmodel into the webserver for accessing it from the software system using theRepresentational state transfer (REST) API. Eventually, the suggested modelswere validated through the Area Under the Curve–Receiver CharacteristicOperator (AUC–ROC) curve and Confusion matrix and compared with theexisting research articles to understand the underlying problem. ThroughComparative Analysis, we have extracted meaningful insights regarding braintumour segmentation and figured out potential gaps. Nevertheless, the proposed model can be adjustable in daily life and the healthcare domain to identify the infected regions and cancer of the brain through various imagingmodalities.

The Electromagnetic Field Propagation in a Spherical Core

A simple and explicit derivation for the electric and magnetic fields in the ferromagnetic cores has been studied. An improved model for analyzing the distribution of electric and magnetic fields in a toroidal core is given. This leads to a basis system for the theoretical analysis of iron loss in the magnetic cores, so, the theoretical results have been evaluated. A method is used to perform numeric calculations of the magnetic field produced by the eddy current and displacement current due to the electric field which shield the magnetic flux from the inner portion of the core cross section. The results obtained from this work could be used to evaluate the skin effect in the conductors of a winding.

BACKGROUND montelukast or Singulair is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that reduces inflammation and relaxes the smooth *** is known to be a safe and tolerable drug;nevertheless,it might be associated with several mild to severe adverse effects,one of which is *** is a rare acquired autoimmune myositis of unknown cause affecting adults and *** literature has infrequently reported the association between dermatomyositis and montelukast *** SUmmARY The current study reports a case of a 48-year-old black woman with a previous history of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinosinusitis who presented with typical signs and symptoms of dermatomyositis which were confirmed by *** developing dermatomyositis,the patient was prescribed montelukast for atopy and consumed the drug for five *** administration of prednisolone,the patient had a significant improvement and is still being followed *** Even though montelukast is widely used and believed to be a safe drug for managing several conditions,the present case report highlights the possibility of adverse effects of ***,future studies with advanced study designs are highly recommended to investigate the association between dermatomyositis and montelukast use.
