There are several reports on the prevalence and importance of milk allergens in the induction of allergic diseases, whereas its role in the induction of autoimmune disease was rarely studied. So, the present work aimed to study the diagnosis and the efficacy of oral antigen specific immunotherapy (OAIT) on two groups of autoimmune disease patients namely, rheumatic arthritis (RA), group II, and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), group III, who has allergens for milk as an effective treatment option. from the assessment of the data obtained and the clinical outcome of RA and SLE patients after food elimination strategy and milk immunotherapy, it was evident that there were significant reductions (P f total IgE, specific IgE, Rheumatic factor (R.f), C-reactive protein (C.R.P), Anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA) and anti-double stranded DNA antibodies (Anti-ds DNA) compared to pretreated levels. Moreover, the immunotherapy induced “blocking antibodies” by remarkable highly significant increasing in IgG, phagocytic inhibition test (PIT %), Complement component 3(C3), and Complement component 4 (C4) levels. More improvement was noticed in the SLE as a result of the immunotherapy. Conclusion: milk desensitization is a gained interest and a safe valuable effective treatment of autoimmune conditions in Egypt.

Objective:To determine the early outcomes of limb salvage surgery with mega ***:This retrospective study was conducted at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre(SKMCH&RC)from 1st January 2017 till 31st January *** like demographics,histopathology,functional and survival outcomes were retrieved from the Hospital Information *** Tumor Society(MSTS)score was used to evaluate the functional outcomes after the *** survival analyses,Kaplan-Meier curve was *** joint infection,amputation rate,metastasis,mortality rate,and recurrence were also ***:This study included 43 patients who underwent limb salvage surgery with endoprosthesis reconstruction at SKMCH&*** mean age at the time of diagnosis was(26.5±15.8)*** with distal femoral replacement had the highest MSTS scores(81.45±9.70)while those with proximal humerus replacement has the lowest MSTS scores(56.8±11.2).There was a strong association between site of tumor and MSTS(f=3.30,P=0.017).We also found a correlation between surgical site infection and MSTS scores(r=0.484,P=0.001).Patients with recurrence also had significantly lower MSTS scores(Pf two-year follow-up was(71.4±17.1)%in proximal femur tumor patients,(88.0±7.8)%in distal femur tumor patients,and(50.0±3.5)%in proximal humerus tumor ***,patients with Ewing sarcoma had the highest survival rate(97.5±11.0)%while patients with chondrosarcoma had the lowest survival rate(77.8±13.9)%.Conclusions:Limb salvage surgery with mega-prosthesis can be performed with satisfactory functional and survival outcomes,but further studies are needed to compare it with other limb salvage *** study can be used as a reference for future studies.

In this paper, a stochastic finite-volume solver based on polynomial chaos expansion is developed. The upwind scheme is used to avoid the numerical instabilities. The Burgers’ equation subjected to deterministic boundary conditions and random viscosity is solved. The solution uncertainty is quantified for different values of viscosity. Monte-Carlo simulations are used to validate and compare the developed solver. The mean, standard deviation and the probability distribution function (p.d.f) of the stochastic Burgers’ solution is quantified and the effect of some parameters is investigated. The large sparse linear system resulting from the stochastic solver is solved in parallel to enhance the performance. Also, Monte-Carlo simulations are done in parallel and the execution times are compared in both cases.

SETTING: Millions of pilgrims visit Makkah (Mecca), Saudi Arabia, from regions of endemic tuberculosis. Little consideration has been given to the potential impact of this disease on the local population. OBJECTIVES: To assess knowledge about TB among residents of Makkah and Jeddah (Makkah’s principal travel gateway). METHODS: A cross-sectional survey of 1004 residents. Data were analyzed by gender. RESULTS: Spread of TB by coughing was a transmission route known by 44.2% of males and 59.6% of females (P f participants knew that TB is caused by bacteria;71.6% of females and 52.3% of males knew TB is infectious (P f respondents answered patient isolation and 15.2% vaccination. Overall, 50.6% of males and 38.3% of females (P f hemoptysis occurred. With a persistent cough, 65.4% of respondents would do nothing or wait before consulting a healthcare provider. High numbers of “don’t know” responses were recorded throughout the survey. CONCLUSIONS: Within the population across pilgrimage areas in Saudi Arabia, knowledge is lacking concerning TB transmission, the cause of the disease, means of prevention and the success of treatment, highlighting an urge need for better public education.

Background: incidence of Colorectal cancer (CRC) is increasing globally. In Egypt, CRC ranks the sixth most common cancer in males and the fifth in females. Aim: To assess the expression of estrogen receptors (alpha and beta) in pre-malignant (adenomatous polyps and IBD), malignant colorectal lesions and normal colonic mucosa in group of Egyptian patients. Methods: This prospective study was done on 45 patients presenting with colonic symptoms, patients were divided into four groups;15 CRC patients, 10 patients with adenomatous polyps, 10 IBD patients and 10 patients in the control group. Patients subjected to: Stool analysis, fOBT, CBC, CEA, Abdominal ultrasound & colonoscopy and biopsy (number = 80), Pathological, immunohistochemistry and RT- PCR quantification of ERα and ERβ were done. Results: Mean age: 39.2 (12 - 73), gender: M/f: 28/17. Bleeding per rectum was the commonest presentation;29/45 (64.4%). CEA was significantly elevated in the CRC group compared with other studied groups (1692 mg/L vs. 4.0, 4.0 and 4.4 mg/L). Ultrasonography of the studied patients showed that metastatic CRC: 3/15 (20%);Colonic wall thickening: 5/15 (33.3%), 1/10 showed colonic polypoidal lesions in adenomatous polyps groups, in IBD group: 4/10 (40%) showed colonic and ileocecal thicknening. All the studied patients showed negative results for estrogen receptors (alpha and beta) by the use of immunohistochemistry staining and RT-PCR technique. Conclusion: Role of estrogen receptors in the colonic mucosa, precancerous and colorectal cancer is doubtful, contradictory results with some literature data could be due to racial and genetic difference in the studied population.

This study is aimed to investigate exercise behaviors (frequency and duration) among Jordanian diabetic patients, and their correlation with their physical characteristics and perceived exercise benefits and barriers, exercise self efficacy, and exercise planning. An exploratory descriptive design was utilized using the cross-sectional survey with self-reported questionnaires (Demographics, Charlson Comorbidity Index, Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale, Exercise Benefits and Barriers Scale, and Commitment to a Plan for Exercise Scale). A convenience sample of 115 Jordanians with diabetes mellitus was recruited from diabetes outpatient clinics. Participants reported an average number of 3.2 physical activities per week (average of 2.9 hours), with walking being the most common activity. Participant’s body mass index, comorbidity index, and exercise self-efficacy were correlated with both frequency and duration of exercise (r = -0.393, -0.286, 0.219 and -0.272, 0.383, 0.260, respectively). A predictive model of five predictors (age, BMI, CCI, exercise self efficacy, and perceived exercise barriers) that significantly predicted exercise duration (R2 = 0.34, f = 9.14, P found. Diabetic patients were found to exercise less than optimum. Illness itself was not a cause of not exercising compared to lack of time and desire. factors that can enhance or inhibit participants’ engagement in exercise should be included in designing tailored exercise educational programs.

Leukemia is a kind of blood cancer that damages the cells in the blood and bone marrow of the human *** produces cancerous blood cells that disturb the human’s immune system and significantly affect bone marrow’s production ability to effectively create different types of blood cells like red blood cells(RBCs)and white blood cells(WBC),and *** can be diagnosed manually by taking a complete blood count test of the patient’s blood,from which medical professionals can investigate the signs of leukemia ***,two other methods,microscopic inspection of blood smears and bone marrow aspiration,are also utilized while examining the patient for ***,all these methods are labor-intensive,slow,inaccurate,and require a lot of human experience and *** authors have proposed automated detection systems for leukemia diagnosis to overcome these *** have deployed digital image processing and machine learning algorithms to classify the cells into normal and blast ***,these systems are more efficient,reliable,and fast than previous manual diagnosing ***,more work is required to classify leukemia-affected cells due to the complex characteristics of blood images and leukemia cells having much intra-class variability and inter-class *** this paper,we have proposed a robust automated system to diagnose leukemia and its *** have classified ALL into its sub-types based on fAB classification,i.e.,L1,L2,and L3 types with better *** have achieved 96.06%accuracy for subtypes classification,which is better when compared with the state-of-the-art methodologies.

A simple, sensitive, and specific method was developed for simultaneous determination of Amlodipine besylate (AML), Valsartan (Vals) and Hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) by high performance liquid chromatography without previous separation. Satisfactory resolution was achieved using a RP-C18 chromatographic column, Phenomenex Kinetex (150 mm × 4.6 mm i.d) and a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile-phosphate buffer (0.05 M) with pH 2.8 in the proportion of (40/60, v/v) at a flow rate 0.8 mL/min and the wavelength detection was 227 nm. The retention time for HCT, AML and VAls was 2.26, 3.16 and 11.19 min;respectively. The described method was linear over a range of 4-28 μg /ml, 5-40 μg /ml and 1-12 μg /ml for AML, Vals and HCT;respectively. The mean percent recoveries were 99.94%, 99.96% and 99.78% for AML, Vals and HCT;respectively. f-test and t-test at 95%con?dence level were used to check the intermediate precision data obtained under different experimental setups. The method could be used for analysis of combined dose tablet formulation containing AML, Vals, HCT as well as spiked human plasma.

Many analytic strategies have emerged to estimate plant responses to fusarium wilt. The demand for fast and reliable method （diagnosis, prediction） to determine isolate strength accurately is not established yet. Early determination of pathogen strength helps in plant medication. The aim of this study was to develop a faster strategy and method for early determination of fungal isolates strength in correlation to plant response. Till now, the scientists have no consensus on the most correlated parameters that could express wilt precisely. In this study, 30 isolates of fusarium oxysporum isolated from Lupinus termis L. were used to provide an explicit image about the real strength of fusarium isolates and its impact on the plant. Wilting percentage ranged from 26.67% to 93.33% of the infected plants depending on isolate virulence. Some of cellular, morphological and physical measurements were conducted on 8 out of 30 isolates, including root （length, fresh weight （fW） and dry weight （DW））, nodules （water content （WC）, fW, DW）, stem （height, WC, fW, DW）, total leaves/plant （WC, fW, DW） and the fourth leaf （WC, fW, DW, leaf area, epidermal cell area, epidermal cell number, succulence）. Hierarchical clustering was used to determine the variance between the isolates. Detrended correspondence analysis （DCA） and canonical correspondence analysis （CCA） were used to determine the most important growth parameters that could express wilting accurately. The CCA results showed that most of the measured parameters on the fourth leaf, except for leaf epidermal cell number, were highly and positively correlated to wilt. That makes these specific parameters valuable and sensitive for any changes in isolates strength. Accordingly, a mathematical model was created to be helpful in the quick determination of isolate strength and precise medication.
