The growing need for renewable energy and zero carbon dioxide emissions has fueled the development of thermoelectric generators with improved power generating *** with the endeavor to develop thermoelectric materials with greater figures of merit,the geometrical and structural optimization of thermoelectric generators is equally critical for maximum power output and *** energy strategies that are constantly updated are a viable option for addressing the global energy issue while also protecting the *** have been significant focuses on the development of thermoelectric modules for a range of solar,automotive,military,and aerospace applications in recent years due to various advantages including as low vibration,great reliability and durability,and the absence of moving *** order to enhance the system performance of the thermoelectric generator,an artificial neural network(ANN)based algorithm is ***,to achieve high efficiency and system stability,a buck converter is designed and *** and experimental findings demonstrate that the suggested method is viable and available,and that it is almost similar to the real value in the steady state with the least power losses,making it ideal for vehicle exhaust thermoelectric generator ***,the proposed hybrid algorithm has a high reference value for the development of a dependable and efficient car exhaust thermoelectric generating system.

Recently,human healthcare from body sensor data has gained considerable interest from a wide variety of human-computer communication and pattern analysis research owing to their real-time applications namely smart healthcare *** though there are various forms of utilizing distributed sensors to monitor the behavior of people and vital signs,physical human action recognition(HAR)through body sensors gives useful information about the lifestyle and functionality of an *** article concentrates on the design of an Improved Transient Search Optimization with machine Learning based BehaviorRecognition(ITSOmLBR)technique using body sensor *** presented ITSOmL-BR technique collects data from different body sensors namely electrocardiography(ECG),accelerometer,and *** addition,the ITSOmL-BR technique extract features like variance,mean,skewness,and standard ***,the presented ITSOmL-BR technique executes a micro neural network(mNN)which can be employed for long term healthcare monitoring and ***,the parameters related to the mNN model are optimally selected via the ITSO *** experimental result analysis of the ITSOmL-BR technique is tested on the mHEALTH *** comprehensive comparison study reported a higher result for the ITSOmLBR approach over other existing approaches with maximum accuracy of 99.60%.

The fruit fly, Bactrocera dorsalis (Diptera: Tephritidae) is one of the most important pests in all mango-producing areas, particularly in West Africa. In Senegal, O. americanum leaves have been used for several years to control this fly. However, to our knowledge, no chemical studies have been carried out. Thus, the aim of this study is to determine the chemical composition of the essential oil of O. americanum leaves collected in Senegal and Gambia. The essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation of these leaves is analyzed by GC/FID and GC/mS. Yields of essential oils from O. americanum leaves are 3.84% and 2.13%, respectively. Analysis of these essential oils by GC/FID and GC/mS allowed the identification of 23 compounds representing almost 100% of the total compositions. These essential oils are mainly dominated by methyleugenol (72.0% and 75.8%, respectively). Other components in significant percent are trans-β-caryophyllene (13.9% and 13.0%, respectively), germacrene D (4.1% and 3.7%, respectively), β-elemene (3.3% and 0.9%, respectively). Due to the high methyleugenol content, this study explains the attractive potential of O. americanum towards B. dorsalis. In perspective, we plan to evaluate the attractive effect of the essential oil and leaf powder of O. americanum against B. dorsalis, a real pest of mango orchards in Senegal.

Functional Nonparametric Predictions in Food Industry Using Near-Infrared Spectroscopy measurement

Functional statistics is a new technique for dealing with data thatcan be viewed as curves or images. Parallel to this approach, the Near-InfraredReflectance (NIR) spectroscopymethodology has been used in modern chemistryas a rapid, low-cost, and exact means of assessing an object’s chemicalproperties. In this research, we investigate the quality of corn and cookiedough by analyzing the spectroscopic technique using certain cutting-edgestatistical models. By analyzing spectral data and applying functional modelsto it, we could predict the chemical components of corn and cookie *** Functional Classical Estimation (KFCE), Kernel Functional QuantileEstimation (KFQE), Kernel Functional Expectile Estimation (KFEE),Semi-Partial Linear Functional Classical Estimation (SPLFCE), Semi-PartialLinear Functional Quantile Estimation (SPLFQE), and Semi-Partial LinearFunctional Expectile Estimation (SPLFEE) are models used to accuratelyestimate the different quantities present in Corn and Cookie dough. Theselection of these functional models is based on their ability to constructa forecast region with a high level of confidence. We demonstrate that theconsidered models outperform traditional models such as the partial leastsquaresregression and the principal component regression in terms of predictionaccuracy. Furthermore, we show that the proposed models are morerobust than competing models such as SPLFQE and SPLFEE in the sensethat data heterogeneity has no effect on their efficiency.

采用低成本的本地可得的天然锰矿作为吸附剂,研究吸附工艺从水溶液中脱除铅离子和镉离子。利用伪一级、伪二级动力学和颗粒内扩散模型检验动力学吸附数据,计算和比较这些动力学模型的吸附速率常数,发现用伪二级动力学模型能最佳地描述吸附动力学。将 Langmuir 和 Freundlich 等温吸附模型用来拟合不同温度下的平衡数据,发现实验数据与 Langmuir 模型拟合得更好。采用 Langmuir 等温吸附模型计算出锰矿吸附铅离子和镉离子的最大容量分别为 98 和 6.8 mg/g。计算了热力学参数,如吸附吉布斯自由能的变化、焓变与熵变。结果表明,锰矿作为吸附剂对铅和镉的吸附反应是自发的吸热反应。因此,锰矿作为一种天然的矿物吸附剂,可以替代现有的吸附剂来脱除水溶液中的铅离子和镉离子。

Tuberculosis is one of the most contagious and lethal illnesses in the world,according to the World Health *** had the leading mortality rate as a result of a single infection,ranking above HIV/*** detection is an essential factor in patient treatment and can improve the survival *** methods should have high mobility,high accuracy,fast detection,and low *** work presents a novel biomedical photonic crystal fiber sensor,which can accurately detect and distinguish between the different types of tuberculosis *** designed sensor detects these types with high relative sensitivity and negligible losses compared to other photonic crystal fiber-based biomedical *** proposed sensor exhibits a relative sensitivity of 90.6%,an effective area of 4.342×10^(-8)m^(2),with a negligible confinement loss of 3.13×10^(-9)cm^(-1),a remarkably low effective material loss of 0.0132cm-f,and a numerical aperture of *** proposed sensor is capable of operating in the terahertz regimes over a wide range(1 THz-2.4 THz).An abbreviated review of non-optical detection techniques is also *** in-depth comparison between this work and recent related photonic crystal fiber-based literature is drawn to validate the efficacy and authenticity of the proposed design.

New smart home energy management systems based on inclining block-rate pricing scheme

There are wide applications of block-rate pricing schemes in many ***,there are no significant studies that apply this common tariff for smart home energy management *** this paper,a three-time-frame energy management scheme has been proposed for photovoltaic(PV)-powered grid-connected smart homes based on the well-known mixed-integer linear programming optimization *** paper provides three original and novel smart home energy management algorithms that depend on the most common residential tariff specifically in developing *** different management concepts have been studied for a typical Egyptian *** concepts of shifting load,vehicle-to-home and reducing air conditioning have been tested according to a commonly applied slab *** proposed scheme considers the home battery extending lifetime *** also preserves comfortable lifestyle limits for home users according to Arab housing climatic conditions and ***,the economic feasibility of integrated PV modules for the studied home has been verified according to the Egyptian *** proposed energy management scheme of PV-powered home reduces the electrical power bill significantly in a wide range from 61%to only 19%of the default case bill according to the applied management technique.
