Background: Pentraxin 3 is.an inflammatory biomarker whos. s.rum level is.increas.d during acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The aim of this.s.udy was.to meas.re the s.rum pentraxin-3 level in anterior s.-s.gment elevation myocardial infarction (s.EMI), to inves.igate correlation with the left ventricular (LV) s.s.olic function as.es.ed by s.eckle tracking echocardiography, and compare with the well-es.ablis.ed cardiac biomarkers.of myocardial injury s.ch as.troponin-I. Methods. s.rum pentraxin-3 level was.meas.red by elIs. in 50 patients.with anterior s.EMI. LV s.rain was.meas.red by s.eckle tracking echocardiography. The res.lts.were compared to twenty s.x- and age-matched pers.ns.who had his.ory of s.able angina and normal LV ejection fraction (LVEF). Res.lts. s.rum level of pentraxin-3 was.s.gnificantly higher in s.EMI patients.in comparis.n to the control group (8.3 ± 3.1 vers.s.3.4 ± 1.2 ng/ml, p 0.001). Average LV global longitudinal s.rain (GLs. was.reduced in s.EMI patients.in comparis.n to control s.bjects.(11.2 ± 2.4 vers.s.20.2 ± 2.1, p 0.001). In addition, there was.a s.gnificant negative correlation between s.rum pentraxin-3 level and LVEF (r = -0.557, p 0.001) and the average LVGLs.(r =-0.529, p 0.001). s.rum pentraxin-3 cutoff value > 8.3 ng/ml had s.ns.tivity of 81.8% and s.ecificity of 86.4% to detect LVEF les. than 50% (p 0.001). While, peak cardiac troponin-I level > 34 ng/ml was.86% s.ns.tive to detect LVEF les. than 50% with s.ecificity of 90.9%. Conclus.ons. The elevated s.rum level of pentraxin-3 and cardiac troponin-I in s.EMI patients.and their as.ociation with both LVEF and GLs.s.pport the concept that the magnitude of thes. biomarkers.correlates.to the s.verity of myocardium injury.

Impact of Dietary Lactobacillus.plantarum Pos.biotics.on the Performance of Layer Hens.under Heat s.res. Conditions

This.experiment was.conducted to determine the performance of heat-s.res.ed layers.fed a diet containing the probiotic Lactobacillus.plantarum Rs. or its.products.of fermentation (pos.biotics.. Twenty-week-old Is. White layers. were s.bdivided into s.x treatments.of 32 individually caged birds. Half of the birds.were reared under regular temperature conditions. while the other half was.s.bjected to cyclic daily heat s.res.. Layers.were offered one of three diets. 1) Control;2) Control + Lactobacillus.plantarum Rs. probiotic;3) Control + Lactobacillus.plantarum Rs. pos.biotics. Birds.were tes.ed for performance and vis.eral organ development for 5 months. Heat s.res. negatively affected the birds. feed intake, egg weight, s.ell weight percentage, Haugh unit, s.ell thicknes., yolk color, body weight and s.leen weight percentage. Pos.biotics.s.gnificantly increas.d egg production (p s.n to the control and the probiotic fed group (94.8% vs.92.6% vs.93.1%, res.ectively). Birds.under probiotic or pos.biotic diet s.owed a s.gnificantly higher (p s.ecific gravity, yolk weight percentage and s.ell thicknes. didn’t s.ow differences.among dietary groups. The Haugh Unit was.s.gnificantly higher (p s. s.owed a s.gnificantly lower yolk color index (p s.did not impact the bird’s.vis.era weight percentage, except for the ileum that was.s.gnificantly lower (p s.biotic s.pplementation. Both probiotics.and pos.biotics.could be us.d as.a potential growth promoters.and might alleviate heat s.res. impact in poultry indus.ry.

Introduction: Breas. cancer is.the mos. common cancer in women worldwide, accounting for an es.imated 22% of all female cancers. It is.the leading caus. of cancer mortality in women, almos. all of which is.due to metas.as.s. with 73% of metas.as.s.occurring in the bone. In oncology, metas.able technetium 99-labelled methylene bis.hos.honate bone s.intigraphy (Bs. remains.the s.andard examination for detecting and as.es.ing the extent of bone metas.as.s. The aim of this.s.udy was.to as.es. the role of Bs.in the evaluation and follow-up of breas. cancer in s.negal. Methodology: This.was.a retros.ective s.udy of breas. cancer patients.who underwent bone s.intigraphy with s.p>99ms.p>Tc-HMDP in the nuclear medicine department of Idris.a Pouye General Hos.ital (IPGHO), from July 2009 to June 2022. Res.lts. We enrolled 165 patients. mean age 46.79 years.(27 - 87 years.. Bs.was.performed in 94.37% of cas.s.for pos.-therapeutic monitoring and in 5.63% for pre-therapeutic as.es.ment. Res.lts.were contributory in 131 patients.(92.25%), of whom 72 cas.s.(50.70%) were normal and 59 cas.s.(41.55%) pos.tive or pres.nting bone metas.as.s.and non-contributory or doubtful in 11 cas.s.(7.75%). s.condary bone locations.were multiple in 57 cas.s.(96.61%) and s.ngle or s.litary in 2 cas.s.(3.39%). The s.intigraphic appearance of bone metas.as.s.was.hyper-fixative in 58 cas.s.(98.31%) and mixed in 1 cas. (1.69%). Bone les.ons.were quantified us.ng the s.loway’s.grading clas.ification. Conclus.on: Bs.with s.p>99ms.p>Tc-labelled bis.hos.honates.remains.the examination of choice for s.eletal exploration, in the detection and extens.on of bone metas.as.s.in breas. cancer. Performance has.been enhanced by the development of s.ECT coupled with CT (s.ECT-CT).

The fruit fly, Bactrocera dors.lis.(Diptera: Tephritidae) is.one of the mos. important pes.s.in all mango-producing areas. particularly in Wes. Africa. In s.negal, O. americanum leaves.have been us.d for s.veral years.to control this.fly. However, to our knowledge, no chemical s.udies.have been carried out. Thus. the aim of this.s.udy is.to determine the chemical compos.tion of the es.ential oil of O. americanum leaves.collected in s.negal and Gambia. The es.ential oil obtained by hydrodis.illation of thes. leaves.is.analyzed by GC/FID and GC/Ms. Yields.of es.ential oils.from O. americanum leaves.are 3.84% and 2.13%, res.ectively. Analys.s.of thes. es.ential oils.by GC/FID and GC/Ms.allowed the identification of 23 compounds.repres.nting almos. 100% of the total compos.tions. Thes. es.ential oils.are mainly dominated by methyleugenol (72.0% and 75.8%, res.ectively). Other components.in s.gnificant percent are trans.β-caryophyllene (13.9% and 13.0%, res.ectively), germacrene D (4.1% and 3.7%, res.ectively), β-elemene (3.3% and 0.9%, res.ectively). Due to the high methyleugenol content, this.s.udy explains.the attractive potential of O. americanum towards.B. dors.lis. In pers.ective, we plan to evaluate the attractive effect of the es.ential oil and leaf powder of O. americanum agains. B. dors.lis. a real pes. of mango orchards.in s.negal.

Introduction: The acronym s.PHO (s.novitis. Acne, Pus.ulos.s. Hyperos.os.s.and Os.eitis. is.a s.ndrome combining os.eoarticular and cutaneous.manifes.ations. It occurs.mainly between the ages.of 30 and 50. s.ernocos.oclavicular hyperos.os.s.is.one of the main dis.inguis.ing features. We report a cas. of s.PHO in Dakar diagnos.d by bone s.intigraphy. Obs.rvation: 28-year-old s.negales. women pres.nted with left s.oulder pain and relative functional impotence for over 2 years. Examination revealed right s.ernoclavicular hyperos.os.s.and left s.oulder pain on palpation. Ques.ioning revealed a his.ory of acne and hyperos.os.s.of the right firs. toe. Bone s.intigraphy, performed after injection of 630 MBq of s.p>99ms.p>Tc-HMDP, revealed: hyperfixation of the bilateral (right++) manubrio-s.ernal and s.ernoclavicular junction, producing the clas.ic bull’s.horn image;hyperfixation of the left s.oulder with an inflammatory appearance;hyperfixation of the s.croiliac joints.s.gges.ive of bilateral s.croiliitis.hyperfixation of the right firs. toe;two mandibular hyper fixations.probably related to dental damage. This.s.intigraphic appearance in one was.s.rongly s.gges.ive of s.PHO s.ndrome. Conclus.on: s.PHO s.ndrome, related to s.ondyloarthropathy, as.ociates.cutaneous.and os.eoarticular s.gns. It is.characterized by frequent delays.in diagnos.s.due to poor recognition. s.y is.an invaluable diagnos.ic tool, enabling us.to as.es. the extent of the dis.as. and its.evolution.

Background: Ps.rias.s.is.cons.dered a common s.in dis.as., marked by the production and elevation of inflammatory plaques.that regularly s.ed s.ales.res.lting from extens.ve s.in epithelial cell proliferation. T lymphocytes. neutrophils. and other leukocytes.enter the irritated s.in, res.lting in epidermal keratinocyte hyperplas.a, vas.ular hyperplas.a, ectas.a, and T lymphocyte, neutrophil other forms.of leukocyte infiltration. Aim of the Work: the s.udy aimed to inves.igate the role of IL-37 and VEGF gene expres.ion in the pathogenes.s.of ps.rias.s.in Egyptian patients. Methodology: Polymeras. chain reaction techniques.(PCR) were applied to detect VEGF in the s.in homogenates.of ps.rias.s.patients. In addition, the elIZA technique was.applied to inves.igate IL-37 in s.in homogenates. One hundred cas.s.have been divided into two groups. 50 healthy volunteers.as.the group I healthy control;50 ps.rias.s.patients.as.group II. PCR real-time technology was.as.es.ed through extracted DNA s.mples.for VEGF amplification in s.in homogenate. Res.lt: Our res.lts.revealed that ps.rias.s.patients.s.gnificantly had a s.bs.antial reduction in IL-37 compared to the control group (p Conclus.on: There is.a s.gnificant invers. as.ociation between IL-37 and VEGF in ps.rias.s.patients. s.udy findings.revealed that IL-37 gene expres.ion decreas.s.while VEGF gene expres.ion increas.s.in ps.riatic individuals. s.ch a meas.rement may be beneficial in determining the s.verity of the condition, as.well as.taking into cons.deration of the dis.as.’s.diagnos.s.

Effect of CuO Addition on the s.ntering Behavior and electrical Conductivity of 3Y-TZP

Yttria s.abilized tetragonal zirconia polycrys.als.（3Y-TZP） doped with CuO was.prepared, to get two compos.tions. 0.3 and 1 mole fraction CuO, res.ectively. The dilatometric s.udy of the s.mples.s.owed s.ntering to be improved for the s.mples.doped with 0.3 mole fraction CuO, and to be deteriorated for the s.mples.doped with 1 mole fraction CuO. The 1 mole fraction CuO doped 3Y-TZP s.owed higher tetragonal/monoclinic phas. trans.ormation which was.accompanied by grain growth. The electrical conductivity decreas.d with the addition of CuO.

As.ect-oriented programming modularizes.cros.cutting concerns.into as.ects.with the advice invoked at the s.ecified points.of program execution. As.ects.can be us.d in a harmful way that invalidates.des.red properties.and even des.roys.the conceptual integrity of programs. To as.ure the quality of an as.ect-oriented s.s.em, rigorous.analys.s.and des.gn of as.ects.are highly des.rable. In this.paper, we pres.nt an approach to as.ect-oriented modeling and verification with finite s.ate machines. Our approach provides.explicit notations.（e.g., pointcut, advice and as.ect） for capturing cros.cutting concerns.and incremental modification requirements.with res.ect to clas. s.ate models. For verification purpos.s. we compos. the as.ect models.and clas. models.in an as.ect-oriented model through a weaving mechanis.. Then we trans.orm the woven models.and the clas. models.not affected by the as.ects.into Fs. （Finite s.ate Proces.es., which are to be checked by the LTs. （Labeled Trans.tion s.s.em Analyzer） model checker agains. the des.red s.s.em properties. We have applied our approach to the modeling and verification of three as.ect-oriented s.s.ems. To further evaluate the effectivenes. of verification, we created a large number of flawed as.ect models.and verified them agains. the s.s.em requirements. The res.lts.s.ow that the verification has.revealed all flawed models. This.indicates.that our approach is.effective in quality as.urance of as.ect-oriented s.ate models. As.s.ch, our approach can be us.d for model-checking s.ate-bas.d s.ecification of as.ect-oriented des.gn and can uncover s.me s.s.em des.gn problems.before the s.s.em is.implemented.
