Development of Vehicle-to-Grid Systemto Regulate the System Parameters of Microgrid

This paper proposes a vehicle-to-grid(V2G)system interfaced with a microgrid that is effective at regulating frequency on a microgrid over a 24-h cycle.A microgrid is designed and divided into four *** first component is a diesel generator,which is used to act as the base power *** second component consists of renewable energy(RE)power plants,which include solar photovoltaic(PV)and wind *** third component is a V2G *** last component is the load connected to the microgrid.A microgrid is designed to be of sufficient size to represent a community of one thousand households during the day period of low consumption in the spring or fall seasons.A hundred electric vehicles(EVs)are modeled as base models to realize a 1:10 ratio for cars to households,which indicates a possible scenario in the near *** analysis of the active power,reactive power,voltage,frequency,and current is carried *** is established that the proposed design of the V2G andmicrogrid effectivelymaintains systemparameters such as frequency and voltage within permissible limits with an error of less than 1%.Further,transient deviations in these parameters are limited to within 5%.A microgrid with V2G devices regulates the system frequency by mitigating load demand through coordinated control of conventional generation,solar PV plant generation,wind plant generation,power exchange with the microgrid network,and electric *** proposed microgrid and V2G are efficient for energy management and mitigation of intermittency and variability of RE power with improved *** in system parameters have been investigated by changing the operating scenario,and it has been determined that the error is limited to less than 5%.The study is effectively realized in the MATLAB/Simulink environment.

Faults’recognition in the distribution feeders(DFs)is extremely important for improving the reliability of the distribution ***,this paper proposes a technique to identify the faults on the DF using the Stockwell Transform(ST)dependent variance feature and Hilbert transform(HT)by utilizing current *** element to element multiplication of the H-index,we compute using HT aided decompositions of current waveforms and VS-index,and calculate through ST aided decomposition of current *** utilizing the decision rules,various faults are *** faults studied in this work are line to ground,double line,double line to ground and 3-Φto *** high fault impedance,this technique is effectively ***,variations in the fault incidence angles are also utilized to test the performance of the proposed *** perform the proposed algorithm,a IEEE-13 bus system is developed in MATLAB/Simulink *** algorithm effectively classified the faults with accuracy greater than 98%.The algorithm is also successfully validated on the IEEE-34 bus test ***,the algorithm was successfully validated on the practical power system *** is recognized that the developed method performed better than the discrete Wavelet transform(DWT)and ruled decision tree based protection scheme reported in various literature.

Comparative study of green peas using with blanching & without blanching techniques

This paper attempts to analyze the kinetics involved in the drying of green peas in‘with blanching’and‘without blanching’*** by hot water mixed with a solution of citric acid(0.1–0.2 mg/ml)at 70C–100C is the treatment provided to the samples of green *** analysis shows that the moisture content in green peas of three different sizes is reduced at different temperatures and demonstrates the effect of the rate of drying of the moisture *** different diameters and temperatures,the parameters are analyzed using‘with blanching’and‘without blanching’*** is observed that‘with blanching’process plays a significant role in the reduction of moisture content under different temperatures and diameters in a lesser time as compared to‘without blanching’.The operative activation energy and moisture diffusivity are described by using Fick’s law of *** calculation of effective moisture diffusivity can be done via the utilization of *** drying data is subjected to two models of mathematical nature:Simple Exponential model,and Page *** performance of these models is examined by means of comparing the coefficient of determination(R2),chi-square(v2)and root mean square error(RMSE)between the experimental and forecasted value of moisture ratio obtained‘with blanching’and‘without blanching’.The experimental data was seen to be in accordance with the Page *** comparisons of energy consumption,energy efficiency and also the cost of the drying processes for‘with blanching’and‘without blanching’have been accomplished to optimize and reduce process condition and the cost of the process,respectively.

Antidiabetic and hypolipidemic activities of Kigelia pinnata flowers extract in streptozotocin induced diabetic rats

Objective:To evaluate antidiabetic and hypolipidemic activities of Kigelia pinnata rnethanolic(lowers extract in slreplozolocin(STZ) induced diabetic W islar *** were made diabetic by a single dose of STZ at 60 mg/kg body weight *** blood glucose level was checked before and 72 h after STZ injection to confirm the development ot *** flower extract and glibenclamide were administered orally at the doses of 250 and 500 mg/kg body weight for 21 ***:Daily oral treatment with the extract and standard drug for 21 days significantly reduced blood glucose,serum cholesterol and triglycerides *** density lipoprotein-cholesterol level was found to be improved(Pompared to diabetic control ***:It is concluded that Kigellia pinnata flowers extract have significant antidiabetic and hypolipidemic effect.

Identification and Classification of Multiple Power Quality Disturbances Using a Parallel Algorithm and Decision Rules

A multiple power quality(MPQ)disturbance has two or more power quality(PQ)disturbances superimposed on a voltage signal.A compact and robust technique is required to identify and classify the MPQ *** manuscript investigated a hybrid algorithm which is designed using parallel processing of voltage with multiple power quality(MPQ)disturbance using stockwell transform(ST)and hilbert transform(HT).This will reduce the computational time to identify theMPQdisturbances,whichmakes the algorithm fast.A MPQ identification index(IPI)is computed using statistical features extracted from the voltage signal using the ST and *** has different patterns for various types of MPQ disturbances which effectively identify the MPQ disturbances.A MPQ time location index(IPL)is computed using the features extracted from the voltage signal using ST and *** effectively identifies the initiation and end of PQ disturbances and thereby locates the MPQ events with respect to *** of MPQ disturbances is performed using decision rules in both the noise-free and noisy environments with a 20 dB noise to signal ratio(SNR).The performance of the proposed hybrid algorithm using ST and HT with rule-based decision tree(RBDT)is better compared to the ST and RBDT techniques in terms of accuracy of classification of MPQ *** software is used to perform the study.

Objective:To evaluate the pharmacognostic characters of an important medicinal plant, Holoptelcu integrifolia(***) ***:The pharmacognostic studies were carried out in terms of organoleptic,microscopic,macroscopic and fluorescence ***: The characteristic microscopic features of leaves were observed as trichomes,multicellular trichomes,xylem cells,phloem cells,collenchyma,vascular bundles,spongy parenchyma and palisade *** characteristic microscopic features of root bark included cork cambium, primary cortex,phloem fibers,medullary rays,endodermis,pericycle and lignified fibers in the transverse section and longitudinal *** characteristic microscopy of root bark powder showed the presence of cortex cells,sieve tubes,calcium oxalate crystals and lignified fibers. Macroscopic study showed that leaf shape-oval,apex-acute,base-cordate and leaf margin was entire with glabrous surface,bitter taste and characteristic *** morphological features of root bark showed deep fissured,rough and firm surface with rhitydome and the periderm parallel to ***:Various pharmacognostic characters observed in this study help in the identification and standardization of ***.

Background:The impact of climate change on horticultural production is of utmost concern *** such vulnerable region of horticultural importance is the Madhya Pradesh state in the central part of *** is crucial to analyse the long-term trend in climatic variations and its effect on horticultural crop ***,this study focuses on detecting trends in mean annual precipitation and temperature of 115 years for the 15 districts covering all the regions of the state as well as projections of all the Representative Concentration Pathway(RCP)climatic scenarios for 2050 and 2080 of Madhya Pradesh *** decadal(2010–2020)insight into the area and production of horticultural crops is undertaken which will help forecasting the future growth *** a better insight,case study on four horticultural crops is undertaken to assess their decadal growth trend vis-à-vis climate parameters in these 15 ***:The Mann–Kendall test for 1901–2016 and Sen’s slope indicated a non-significant change in long-term trend for precipitation except for increasing change in Khargone and decreasing change in Rewa ***-cant increasing trend of average temperature is obtained for Hoshangabad,Jabalpur,Sagar and Rewa *** Sen’s slope indicated an increase of 0.005 to 0.009℃for maximum temperature and 0.005 to 0.012℃for minimum temperature *** projections of all the RCP climate scenarios for the years 2050 and 2080 indicated non-significant variation in precipitation but an increase in maximum(1.4 to 4.1℃)and minimum(1.45 to 4.65℃)annual *** increasing trend in area and production for horticultural crops is also observed in central India for the study *** is yield increase in all the crops selected in case study except for potato,which recorded a decreased yield between the years 2010–***:The Mann–Kendall test and projections indicate towards climate change with a temperature *** the decad

Surveying the genomic landscape of silage-quality traits in maize(Zea mays L.)

Despite the longstanding importance of silage as a critical feed source for ruminants,its quality improvement has been largely *** numerous quantitative trait loci(QTL)and genes affecting silage quality in maize have been reported,only a few have been effectively incorporated into breeding *** this gap,the present study undertook a comprehensive meta-QTL(MQTL)analysis involving 523 QTL associated with silage-quality traits collected from 14 published *** the 523 QTL,405 were projected onto a consensus map comprising 62,424 genetic markers,resulting in the identification of 60 MQTL and eight *** average confidence interval(CI)of the MQTL was 3.9-fold smaller than that of the source *** of the 60 identified MQTL were classified as breeder’s MQTL owing to their small CIs,involvement of more QTL,and large contribution to phenotypic ***-third of the MQTL co-localized with DNA marker-trait associations identified in previous genomewide association mapping studies.A set of 78 high-confidence candidate genes influencing silage quality were identified in the MQTL *** genes and associated markers may advance marker-assisted breeding for maize silage quality.
