Geo.hermal is a clean energy so.rce that is freely available in the subsurface. The explo.tatio. o. this vital reso.rce needs intensive explo.atio. in o.der to.identify and quantify its o.currence. The three parameters co.sidered when assessing the viability o. a geo.hermal system include;heat so.rce, fractures and fluids. Geo.o.ical structures are impo.tant in transpo.tatio. o. fluids to.and fro. the heat so.rce aiding in recharge o. the geo.hermal system and enhancing pro.uctivity. Remo.e sensing metho. was applied in mapping the structures at Barrier Vo.canic Co.plex (BVC) by using hill shading technique which utilized fo.r illuminatio. angles o. the sun (azimuth) i.e. 45°, 90°, 150°, and 315°, co.stant elevatio. o. 45° and exaggeratio. o. 10. The data used was Shuttle Radar To.o.raphic Missio. (SRTM) Satellite Imagery. ArcGIS So.tware was used fo. lineaments delineatio. and density mapping, PCI Geo.atica was used to.generate majo. faults, while Geo.o.e and Ro.kwo.ks 17 were used to.generate the ro.e diagrams. Geo.o.ical structural analysis was do.e by delineating lineaments, determining the density distributio. o. lineaments and finally determining the structural trends o. lineaments. The generated majo. faults in the area and the lo.atio. o. the o.currence o. surface manifestatio.s were co.pared with the generated lineaments. A to.al o. 260 lineaments were generated whereby at 45° there was a to.al o. 60 lineaments, at 90° 95 lineaments, at 150° 61 lineaments, and at 315° 44 lineaments. The results o. structural analysis in the area as sho.n by the ro.e diagrams indicate an NNE-SSW and N-S trending o. structures. In co.clusio., the study area is highly fractured as indicated by the presence o. numero.s lineaments. These lineaments pro.ide go.d recharge to.the geo.hermal system and enhance the geo.hermal reservo.r in the area.

Due to.the rapid develo.ment o. lo.istic industry, transpo.tatio. co.t is also.increasing, and finding trends in transpo.tatio. activities will impact po.itively in investment in transpo.tatio. infrastructure. There is limited literature and data-driven analysis abo.t trends in transpo.tatio. mo.e. This thesis delves into.the o.eratio.al challenges o. vehicle perfo.mance management within lo.istics clusters, a critical aspect o. efficient supply chain o.eratio.s. It aims to.address the issues faced by lo.istics o.ganizatio.s in o.timizing their vehicle fleets’ perfo.mance, essential fo. seamless lo.istics o.eratio.s. The study’s co.e design invo.ves the develo.ment o. a predictive lo.istics mo.el based o. regressio., fo.used o. fo.ecasting, and evaluating vehicle perfo.mance in lo.istics clusters. It enco.passes a co.prehensive literature review, research metho.o.o.y, data so.rces, variables, feature engineering, and mo.el training and evaluatio. and F-test analysis was do.e to.identify and verify the relatio.ships between attributes and the target variable. The findings highlight the mo.el’s efficacy, with a lo. mean squared erro. (MSE) value o. 3.42, indicating its accuracy in predicting perfo.mance metrics. The high R-squared (R2) sco.e o. 0.921 emphasizes its ability to.capture relatio.ships between input characteristics and perfo.mance metrics. The mo.el’s training and testing accuracy further attest to.its reliability and generalizatio. capabilities. In interpretatio., this research undersco.es the practical significance o. the findings. Backgro.nd: Inadequate antenatal care, bo.h in co.erage and standard, has been linked with po.r pregnancy o.tco.es. In a reso.rce po.r setting, ho.e delivery is co.sidered very cheap, but the po.sible o.tco.e o. such pregnancies has been a subject o. interest. This study evaluated the asso.iatio. o. bo.king status with pregnancy o.tco.es. o.jectives: To.examine the facto.s that influence bo.king and impact o. the bo.king status o. pregnancy o.tco.es. Metho.s: This was a ho.pital-based pro.pective co.o.t study o. 240 (120 bo.ked and 120 un-bo.ked) pregnant mo.hers selected thro.gh systematic rando. sampling. The study was carried o.t at the Department o. o.stetrics and Gynaeco.o.y, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Ho.pital Abakaliki, Nigeria. Chi-square test, t-test and lo.istic regressio. were used fo. analysis. Results: The mean age o. the participants was 30.39 ± 5.05 years and 29.05 ± 6.36 years respectively fo. the bo.ked and unbo.ked. Marital status (o. = 6.35, 95% CI = 1.24 - 32.59), educatio.al status (o. = 36.40, 95% CI = 5.26-152.83), place o. residence (o. = 0.15, 95% CI = 0.06 - 0.41), partner’s suppo.t (o. = 0.05, 95% CI = 0.01 - 0.37), family suppo.t (o. = 0.03, 95% CI = 0.01 - 0.13), mo.e o. delivery (o. = 0.23, 95% CI = 0.12 - 0.46), APGAR sco.e in first minute (o. = 6.02, 95% CI = 2.45 - 14.83) and NBICU admissio. (o. = 3.75, 95% CI = 1.67 - 8.43) were asso.iated with bo.ked status. Ho.ever, being unmarried, nulliparity/grandmultiparity, lo. level o. educatio., blue co.ar jo.s, lo. inco.e, rural dwelling and po.r partner and po.r family suppo.t were asso.iated with the unbo.ked. Physico.hemical parameters o. surface water so.rces in the study o. lo.al go.ernment areas (LGAs) were assessed using standard pro.edures. The mean physico.hemical parameters fo. pH (5.49), No. (0.23 mg/L), So. (0.77 mg/L), Na (28.72 mg/L), Ca (28.94 mg/L), Mg (17.50 mg/L), Cl (11.65 mg/L), TSS (6.27 mg/L), TDS (104.23 mg/L), Bo. (2.83 mg/L) and F (0.87 mg/L) were belo. WHo.standards irrespective o. their defecatio. status. The values fo. electrical co.ductivity (EC) (2770.50 µs/cm, turbidity (481.24 NTU), disso.ved o.ygen (Do. (5.32 mg/L), chemical o.ygen demand (Co.) (445.50 mg/L), K (125.06 mg/L), Po. (0.78 mg/L) and Fe (0.57 mg/L) were abo.e the WHo.limits fo. safe water. Higher EC and Co. values o.tained in the study is evidence o. po.lutio. o. the water so.rces by o.ganic matter.

Backgro.nd: The o.timal time to.clo.ure o. a newbo.n with a myelo.eningo.ele has been the fo.us o. a number o. evaluatio.s. The Timing o. primary surgery has received significant attentio. due to.its relatio.ship to.repair-site infectio. that can lead to.increased mo.bidity and pro.o.ged ho.pital stays. It is o. this basis that reco.mendatio.s have utilized 48 - 72 ho.rs po.t birth as ideal time o. clo.ure. This is no. o.ly prevent infectio. at the site but also.prevent ventriculitis and neural structure damage. We therefo.e, hypo.hesized an increase in wo.nd infectio. rates in tho.e patients with delays in myelo.eningo.ele repair. Metho.s: We retro.pectively reviewed the reco.ds o. 103 children with myelo.eningo.ele treated between 2016 and 2023. At discharge the patients were fo.lo.ed up at the po.t-o.erative clinic visit 2 weeks later. Children were assigned to.1 o. 2 gro.ps, tho.e who.underwent primary neuro.urgical repair within 72 ho.rs o. delivery (Gro.p 1) and tho.e undergo.ng repair after 72 ho.rs (Gro.p 2). We co.pared the infectio. rates. Results: 103 children who.underwent myelo.eningo.ele repair were identified, with a median time fro. birth to.treatment o. 1 day. Eight (7.8 %) patients were no.ed to.have po.t-repair surgical site co.plicatio.s. There was no.significant difference in rates o. infectio. between Gro.p 1 and Gro.p 2 repair times. The presence o. infectio. was asso.iated increased length o. stay when co.pared to.neo.ates witho.t infectio.. Co.clusio.: In children with myelo.eningo.ele, the timing o. primary neuro.urgical repair appears no. to.have a significant impact o. surgical site infectio.. Clo.ure o. the spinal lesio. within the first 72 ho.rs o. life may be mo.e favo.able fo. neural damage preventio.. These results suggest that early myelo.eningo.ele repair may no. impart significantly o. the rate o. wo.nd-site infectio..

HIV is a retro.irus that infects and impairs the cells and functio.s o. the immune system. It has caused a great challenge to.glo.al public health systems and leads to.Acquired Immuno.eficiency Syndro.e (AIDS), if no. attended to.in go.d time. Antiretro.iral therapy is used fo. managing the virus in a patient’s lifetime. So.e o. the sympto.s o. the disease include lean bo.y mass and many o.po.tunistic infectio.s. This study has develo.ed a SIAT mathematical mo.el to.investigate the impact o. inco.sistency in treatment o. the disease. The arising no.-linear differential equatio.s have been o.tained and analyzed. The DFE and its stability have been o.tained and the study fo.nd that it is lo.ally asympto.ically stable when the basic repro.uctio. number is less than unity. The endemic equilibrium has been o.tained and fo.nd to.be glo.ally asympto.ically stable when the basic repro.uctio. number is greater than unity. Numerical so.utio.s have been o.tained and analyzed to.give the trends in the spread dynamics. The inco.sistency in treatment uptake has been analyzed thro.gh the numerical so.utio.s. The study fo.nd that when the treatment rate o. tho.e infected increases, it leads to.an increase in treatment po.ulatio., which slo.s do.n the spread o. HIV and vice versa. An increase in the rate o. treatment o. tho.e with AIDS leads to.a decrease in the AIDS po.ulatio., the reverse happens when this rate decreases. The study reco.mends that the co.munity invo.vement in advo.ating fo. co.sistent treatment o. HIV to.curb the spread o. the disease.

A no.-linear HIV-TB co.infectio. has been fo.mulated and analyzed. The po.itivity and invariant regio. has been established. The disease free equilibrium and its stability has been determined. The lo.al stability was determined and fo.nd to.be stable under given co.ditio.s. The basic repro.uctio. number was o.tained and acco.ding to.findings, co.infectio. diminishes when this number is less than unity, and persists when the number is greater than unity. The glo.al stability o. the endemic equilibrium was calculated. The impact o. HIV o. TB was established as well as the impact o. TB o. HIV. Numerical so.utio. was also.do.e and the findings indicate that when the rate o. HIV treatment increases the latent TB increases while the co.infected po.ulatio. decreases. When the rate o. Hydro.ho.ic Val derivative Schiff base co.per(II) co.plexes and dipeptide (AlaAla, GlyGly) derivative Schiff base co.per(II) co.plexes were intro.uced into.egg white lyso.yme. X-ray crystal structure analysis revealed amino.acid derivative Schiff base co.per(II) co.plexes were o.tained. Herein we discuss primarily o. the binding mo.e o. co.per(II) o. the co.plexes o.tained with egg white lyso.yme. The electro. density o. co.per(II) io.s was co.firmed by X-ray crystal structure analysis. The Val derivative Schiff base co.per(II) co.plex was weakly bo.nd at Arg114 o. egg white lyso.yme. In o.her co.per(II) co.plexes, binding o. co.per(II) io.s with disso.iated ligands to.vario.s residues was o.served. Research sho.s that pro.ucing fermented camel milk is hard because o. the milk’s inability to.fo.m a firm co.gulum, attributed to.lo. levels o. κ-casein and ꞵ-lacto.lo.ulin and the large casein micelle size, leading to.a weak netwo.k o. casein fo.matio.. In an effo.t to.address this issue, researchers turned to.co.n starch as a thickening agent, disco.ering that a co.centratio. o. 2.0% effectively impro.ed the visco.ity and significantly reduced syneresis in stirred camel milk yo.hurt and cultured camel milk. This study explo.es alternatives to.co.n starch, fo.using o. butternut squash seeds as a pro.ising substitute due to.their hydro.o.lo.d co.po.itio.. By inco.po.ating butternut squash (Cucurbita mo.chata) seed po.der (BSSP) as a thickening agent, this study aimed at enhancing the chemical and rheo.o.ical pro.erties o. stirred camel milk yo.hurt and cultured camel milk. Fermented camel milk was prepared using 4 litres o. camel milk, 2% starter cultures (thermo.hilic culture fo. yo.hurt and meso.hilic aro.atic culture fo. stirred cultured camel milk) and BSSP 0.0% (negative co.tro.), 0.4%, 0.8%, 1.2%, 1.6%, 2.0% mixed with 0.4% gelatin. 2.0% co.n starch mixed with 0.4% gelatin was used as a standard fo. co.pariso.. Results sho.ed that increasing the BSSP level significantly (p o.sture co.tent while increasing the to.al so.id co.tent o. stirred fermented camel milk pro.ucts. There was an increase in ash co.tent with an increase in BSSP levels. There was a significant (p o. in the pH, with an increase in BSSP levels in stirred fermented camel milk samples. Increasing the co.centratio. o. BSSP fro. 0.4% to.2.0% resulted in a significant (p o.ity and a reductio. in syneresis o. stirred camel milk yo.hurt and stirred cultured camel milk samples. This study demo.strated that BSSP effectively enhances the visco.ity, reduces syneresis and increases acidity in stirred fermented camel milk pro.ucts during sto.age
