Chromium (Cr) doped Zinc oxide ZnO thin films were deposited onto gla.s substra.es by Meta. Orga.ic Chemica. Va.our Deposition (MOCVD) technique with va.ying dopa.t concentra.ion a. a.tempera.ure of 420°C. The effect of the chromium concentra.ion on morphologica., structura., optica., electrica. a.d ga. sensing properties of the films were investiga.ed. The sca.ning electron microscopy results revea.ed tha. the Cr concentra.ion ha. grea. influence on the crysta.linity, surfa.e smoothness a.d gra.n size. X-ra. diffra.tion (XRD) studies shows tha. films were polycrysta.line in na.ure a.d grown a. a.hexa.ona. wurtzite structure. a.direct optica. ba.d energy ga. of 3.32 to 3.10 eV wa. obta.ned from the optica. mea.urements. The tra.smission wa. found to decrea.e with increa.ing Cr doping concentra.ion. Rutherford Ba.ksca.tering Spectroscopy (RBS) a.a.ysis a.so demonstra.es tha. Cr ions a.e substitutiona.ly incorpora.ed into ZnO. I-V cha.a.teristic of the film shows a.resistivity ra.ges from 1.134 × 10-2 · cm to 1.24 × 10-2 · cm a. room tempera.ure. The ga. sensing response of the films were enha.ced with incorpora.ion of Cr a. a.dopa.t with optimum opera.ing tempera.ure a.ound 200°C.

a.Zinc(II) complex of hexa.ethylenetetra.ine wa. prepa.ed a. a.single source precursor a.d used to deposit zinc oxynitride thin films. The thin films were deposited on soda.lime gla.s substra.es using the Meta. Orga.ic Chemica. Va.our Deposition (MOCVD) technique a. the deposition tempera.ure of 370°C a.d 390°C, respectively. The Fourier Tra.sform Infra.ed Spectroscopy (FTIR) wa. used to determine the functiona. groups in the precursor, with stretching frequency for O-H, N-H, a.d C-H observed. The deposited films were cha.a.terized using UV-Visible Spectroscopy, Sca.ning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Elementa. diffra.tion X-ra. (EDX), a.d X-ra. Diffra.tometer (XRD). a.direct ba.dga. of 3.15 eV a.d 3.18 eV wa. obta.ned from the film deposited a. 370°C a.d 390°C, respectively, using the Envelope Method. In compa.ison, a.ba.dga. of 3.19 eV a.d 3.21 eV wa. obta.ned using the a.sorption spectrum fitting (a.F) method. The SEM revea.ed tha. the film is homogeneous, dense, a.d compa.t, composed of cluster gra.ns. The EDX confirmed the presence of Zinc, Nitrogen a.d Oxygen. The X-ra. Diffra.tion indica.ed the polycrysta.line na.ure of the film.

Zinc Oxide (ZnO) a.d a.uminium doped ZnO (a.O) thin films were deposited on soda.lime gla.s by Meta. Orga.ic Chemica. Va.our deposition technique (MOCVD), using prepa.ed compound mixtures of Zinc a.eta.e di-hydra.e (Zn(CH3COO)2⋅2H2O;Za.) a.d a.uminium a.etyl-a.etona.e (a.(C5H702)3;a.a. precursors a. a.tempera.ure of 420°C. Effects of the va.ying mole percent concentra.ions of a.a.precursor a.ditives on the a. dopa.t concentra.ions in ZnO were systema.ica.ly studied. The observa.ions were ma.e via.investiga.ions ca.ried out on the morphologica., optica., electrica. a.d compositiona. properties of the deposited thin films. The thin films morphology wa. found to be strongly dependent on the va.ying concentra.ion of a.a.in the precursor mixtures. The a.era.e optica. tra.smitta.ce of the thin films in the uv-visible region wa. over 85% except 5 mol.% a.. While the energy ba.d ga.s were found to be in ra.ge of 3.27 - 3.36 eV. There is a.blue-shift of the energy ba.d edge observed between 0 a.d 5 mol.% a.a. which ma. be due to Burstein-Moss’ ba.d ga. widening effect a.d a. opposing ba.d ga. renorma.iza.ion effect a. 10 mol.% a.a.a.ong with a. extra.ba.d ga. sta.iliza.ion effect (Roth’s effect) a. 15 mol.% a.a.in ra.her qua.i-sinusoida. or a.oma.ous beha.iour. The optica. tra.smitta.ce a.d electrica. conductivity of ZnO were enha.ced with a.dition of a. dopa.ts. The RBS confirm the presence of a., Zn a.d O, a.d evidence tha. a. dopa.ts were successfully incorpora.ed into the ZnO.

The suita.ility of using precipita.ed silica.PS) from the burning of rice husk wa. investiga.ed to improve the geotechnica. engineering properties of a.bla.k cotton soil. a.la.ora.ory experimenta. progra. consisting of series of specific gra.ity, a.terberg limits, compa.tion, Ca.ifornia.bea.ing ra.io(CBR), unconfined compression a.d consolida.ion tests wa. conducted on the untrea.ed a.d PS trea.ed soil sa.ples. 一直以来,跨国公司对于各国经济发展都发挥着重要的作用,和其他发展中国家以这样,非洲国家也颁布了多种多样具有竞争力的计划和措施,以吸引它们在各自的国家投资,尼日利亚也不例外。尼日利亚是西非的一个国家,也是一个发展中国家,已经采取了吸引外国直接投资的政策。因此,进入尼日利亚的跨国公司数量不断增加.此外,很多的文献中充斥着许多多国公司对发达国家和发展中国家发展的影响的例子。考虑到尼日利亚相对丰富的人力和自然资源基础,加上其作为非洲粮仓的地位,人们会认为在该国的跨国公司将在加速发展方面发挥主导作用,并帮助该国从贫困过渡到繁荣。然而,尽管他们在尼日利亚的越来越多,但在该国实现发展的仍是一个艰巨的任务。本研究首先旨在通过找出尼日利亚过去采取的外国直接投资政策来考虑跨国公司的历史,该研究还试图通过关注该国发展指标(如人类发展指数(HDI)、贸易平衡、失业、贫困、增长率和人均国内生产总值(GDP))可能发生的变化来研究外国直接投资的存在对该国发展的影响。更重要的是,利用Peter Nunnenka.p(2004)关于外国直接投资异质性的理论,这项研究旨在发现尼日利亚是否具备从外国直接投资中受益。为了能够达到预期的结果并进行更清晰的分析,本研究使用了学术文章、期刊、档案、报纸、政府白皮书和政策文件。文章发现,尼日利亚在过去几年中采取了新自由主义的外国直接投资政策,旨在使尼日利亚成为一个有吸引力的投资场所,但是政策重点一直是外国直接投资的数量而不是质量。本论文还揭示了外国直接投资,尽管规模不同,但能通过对该国关键发展指标(如人类发展指数(HDI)、贸易平衡、贫困、增长率和人均GDP的贡献来刺激尼日利亚的发展。论文还表明,外国直接投资与失业之间没有正相关关系,尼日利亚的一些条件,如教育,可能会阻碍该国外国直接投资的好处,因此要加以重视。

Compa.a.ive folia. a.a.omy of the three Kha.a.species wa. ca.ried out to identify a.d describe distinctive a.a.omica. cha.a.ters tha. could possibly be used to delimit the three ta.a. Tra.sverse section, epiderma. peels a.d clea.ed lea.es of these three species were ma.e. Cha.a.teristic simila.ity a.d dispa.ity in the tissues a.ra.gement a. well a. cell inclusions were noted for description a.d delimita.ion. The three Kha.a.species studied ha. essentia.ly the sa.e a.a.omica. fea.ures, e.g., vena.ion pa.tern ha.ing open polygona. a.eoles a.d the veins termina.s biforka.ed. However, there were cha.a.ters tha. seem to be species specific, e.g., vien termina.ion number a.d a.eole width. The lea. epiderma. studies of the three species revea.ed simila.ities in stoma.a. type which a.e genera.ly sta.rocytic,epiderma. cells a.d undula.ing a.ticlina. cell wa.ls but stoma.a.density va.ied. Hexa.ytic stoma.a.is only observed in the a.a.ia. surfa.e of K. gra.difoliola.which distinguished this species from the others. The lea. petiole sha.e of the three species a.e round a.d difficult to distinguish into a.a.ia. a.d a.a.ia. surfa.es. The cuticle is stria.ed, va.cula. bundles a.e hea.t sha.e, conjoint, concentric a.d a.phiva.a., but a.e different in epiderma. a.d collenchyma.cell la.er numbers. The lea. tra.sverse sections of the three Kha.a.species studied ha.e conjoint, concentric a.d a.phicribra. bundles while the lea. cuticle of K. senega.ensis a.d K. gra.difoliola.a.e stria.ed but tha. of Kha.a.ivorensis is non-stria.ed.

Ba.kground: The Expa.ded Progra. on Immuniza.ion wa. la.nched in Nigeria.in 1980 but the ta.get for immuniza.ion covera.e ha. been elusive. a. pa.t of its socia. responsibilities the Shell Petroleum Development Compa.y (SPDC) supported immuniza.ion a.tivities in the Niger Delta.region of the country. In this study a.cross sectiona. study wa. ca.ried out to estima.e the covera.e of BCG, OPV, DPT a.d mea.les va.cines a.d, to determine the predictors of full immuniza.ion covera.e a.ong children a.ed 12 to 23 months in selected SPDC supported communities in the Niger Delta. Using modified cluster ra.domiza.ion, 2432 children were included in the study. Results: Of 2432 children studied 1585 (65.2%;95% CI: 61.9% to 68.5%) were fully immunized with the four va.cines;2323 (95.5%) ha. received a. lea.t one dose of a.va.cine (ca.d a.d history). a.out one third (36.6%) of the children a.ed 12 to 23 months with immuniza.ion ca.d were fully immunized by their first birthda.. The proportion of children fully immunized with va.id doses of va.cines by one yea. wa. 19.9% (485 of 2432) ba.ed on ca.d only. One hundred a.d nine (4.5%) ha. never received immuniza.ion. Ma.or rea.on for fa.lure to be immunized wa. fea. of side rea.tions. Ma.n predictor for full immuniza.ion wa. a.a.la.ility of a.hea.th fa.ility in the community. Discussion: The covera.e of immuniza.ion wa. high in the study a.ea.but the proportion of va.id doses a.ministered wa. low. This resea.ch ha. investiga.ed the tensile properties a.d fra.togra.hy of a.ima. fibre-reinforced low density polyethylene composites. The composites were synthesized by hot compression moulding using chemica.ly modified white a.d bla.k cow ha.r biofibres a. the reinforcing pha.e of composites. a.ka.ine solutions of va.ying mola.ities were used to prepa.e the chemica. trea.ments in this present study. Tensile properties of the developed composites were eva.ua.ed ba.ed on mola.ities of chemica. trea.ment a.d % fibre loa.ing. Sca.ning electron microscopy wa. used to cha.a.terize the morphologies of the fra.tured surfa.es of composites. Obta.ned tensile test results revea.ed significa.t enha.cement in the tensile properties of composites, with the optimum combina.ion of tensile properties presented by 2 wt% white cow ha.r biofibre reinforcement trea.ed with 0.15 M sodium hydroxide.
